COD4's nuclear death scene is the best character death ever put to plastic, folks. Other than that, communists allied with religious extremists seems to be a bit of a cop out battle royale affair that's more chucklesome than dramatic. that's why HL2 is so good- not only is it a great story, but the means by which it's told are almost all exclusive to gaming as opposed to them being ripped off (badly) from film, which is where pretty much every game ever gets it so wrong. in short: show, don't tell and use the agency of the player to aid story telling rather than see it as an obstacle. I'm looking at you, final fantasy. You bloated sack of shit.

well on the actual game, i reckon 5-10 mins on average. with hour turns though we have time for food breaks and the like. could be awesome-o but we'd need everyone to be sure they can stick it out. -
sounds impressive (lol puns) i do hope it's good. After san andreas completely dicked any notion of good sound effects, they have some considerable ground to cover.

KOTOR is bitchin I'd also include Mass Effect. Admittedly, the main plot isn't that extravagant or twisty but the texture of the whole affair is staggeringly deep. also, Half Life 2+ episodes is probably the best story told to date in a game.

you should learn to love the needler too. It's not so good in a straight up firefight but i always try to carry one as I use it as my ambush gun- if you catch some dude unawares with one you really can't fail.

in fairness Dyson, me and my friends call Italy 'the bitch of europe' so you got a bit unlucky in our game. question for everyone: some time this week, does anyone want to make an evening of a game with a 1 hour time limit? no, Lockout is better. Once you know it well, it's the best team slayer map they've made to date and it's pretty excellent for 1 flag/ assault, too.

they need Treyarch to fuck right off this licience. They've proven multiple times that they're incapable of delivering a free roaming spidey game as a complete package, so why keep giving them the job? It's ridiculous.

it's funny how quickly I got in to lockout again. after a brief period of disorientation from the new look, I was back to my old tricks of using every nook, cranny and edge to move around the map at ninja speed, wrecking noobs and vanishing in to the map again. God it's great.

I'd say a two parter for optimum winnage. I think the 2nd compliments the first pretty well and it's a cool gangster movie. Like you say though, the third is just odd. Watched it a couple of years ago and was left utterly bewildered as to what it was supposed to be doing for the trillogy.
