  1. true enough. my face will one again grace this thread soon- with feline enhancement.
  2. yeah just a bit. Less painful than a seized up dislocation though, by all accounts.
  3. i know a guy who dislocated his shoulder playing lacross. Solution: the coach held his arm up and dropped him to his knees. Popped it right back in.
  4. usually it's not that extreme. Grant Morrison's New X-Men series was a tone shift that completely changed the style of the franchise, but it was consistent with established back story. It was also completely fucking amazing
  5. my cat Babs- because she's the queen of mogs and we need a new theme
  6. haha that one is awesome. seriously though, it's like Fox News: they are in a position of authority to deliver the news, comment and live up to the responsibility of the fourth estate but what do they do? they spew complete bollocks and tabloid trash stories. South Park does the same, only with toilet humour.
  7. People always make a point about South Park being crude, but that's missing the point. It's political satire at it's finest and the crude jokes are just a reflection of American media and social attitudes. I think they also just plain enjoy giving censorship the finger, which is all gravy.
  8. Good Vibrations is probably the best written pop song ever. It's pure genius.
  9. re: RPGs. Mass Effect is probably my favourite ever. I can't stand bloody JRPG snorefests and ME was ace. Action packed, played great, good story, very good atmosphere. It's shits on the standard angsty teen saviour mob from lofty, windswept heights.
  10. you're missing out, but I suppose it's not for everyone.
  11. as far as i know Burton's movies never were, though. They're great, but they're far more Burton movies than Batman.
  12. it's amazing! have you seen recent ones? They're some of the best satirical commentry I've ever seen. It's as sharp as genre stalwarts The Day Today and Brasseye.
  13. but South Park is the best comedy series of the decade...
  14. I don't like Family Guy- it feels so insubstantial compared to South Park. All they do is pop culture references. They're like Dreamworks cgi movies. I'd also challenge anyone to be able to take it seriously after the South Park Cartoon Wars episodes basically demolished the entire basis for the show.
  15. denial eh? oh well- least I have my newfound status as forum gay icon...
  16. the last line of sequence is, and I beleive i'm using the correct terminology here; an utter fucking cunt of a bastard. They're all just unfathomably cruel, like Sauron.
  17. I read a review of Grace describing Buckley's voice as the sound of angels fucking. I'm inclined to agree.
