Well it certainly looks more upmarket than the usual nintendo devices, looks almost like a high end mobile phone Really not keen on no face buttons but if the haptics are like the steam pad then it could work, that certainly feels like you've got something under that touch pad The thing that gets me is after the intial leak, thought the oval shape was an odd choice and perhaps the final model would be more squared off, this suggests otherwise Kind of wish it was the new handheld, that could work, i mean the lack of things to catch means that could slip in pockets quite easily I do think though with all these Leaks now nintendo needs to swiftly squash the rumours or reveal the Nx and control the narrative -

That's where the differences and exclusives work out and make people decide on which to buy. On Paper there was little difference between the Xbox one and PS4 (Ram the most part) but exclusive content and how they approached customers put sony in front If the Nx offers parity with the Ps4 and Xbone then the nintendo games on a console of that power, its potential parity with a handheld will be its Unique selling point and give it an edge in some consumers eyes Theres no point being the hipster console shunning what consumer wants in an effort to be completely different if consumers have to buy other products to get the games the want - which is exactly the gamble they made with the WiiU and that has failed, its very difficult to deny since its life has been cut short, sales are abysmal, public opinion is poor and the NX its successor is on the horizon. That route makes you a niche product and Nintendo cannot survive as a niche product -

After the WiiU i thought i'd not buy another console at launch, i waited for PS4 and got a better library because of it, but if that is the launch line up, i might be swayed for a day one purchase again doesn't seem too crazy to me, it would be quite plausible especially if the recent meetings with EA that were rumoured went well enough -

Nikkei: Nintendo to stop producing Wii U consoles this year
Agent Gibbs replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'd say its true and Nitnendo are also telling the truth - Q4 this year production will cease by which point they will either have launched the NX or have enough stock to survive until well after the Nx launch Its a little bit of a non story, but hyped up on semantics 'this year' is a broad time definition in the business world, especially when Nintendo choose if this year refers to the Gregorian calendar year or the financial year to suit them i.e they could say they aren't ending this year meaning before December, playing on semantics as in Jan 2017 they stop production, which would technically be this financial year -

Oh god please be true! Let it be Nintendo Direct Event revealing console and some details like pricing, some games etc Then E3 > Lots of more details, Games etc and best of all release date shortly after E3 (November Worldwide as leaks suggest) Of course that would pit the Nx against my purchase of PSVR....Nintendo might just win that round -
what is going on in the manga now? jesus that was odd enough in Digimon let alone pokemon

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Trading pokemon to @Blade the other day made me want to replay/finish this game, so i'm not back at Petelburg gym these games keep pulling me back in! didn't realise i missed Hoopa before Christmas, bloody love Ghost types -
From what i've seen on GAF and peoples spoiler free reactions, Batfleck is considered the best Batman shown on screen ever, and very surprisingly Gal Gadot steels the show - which is awesome just to stick the knife in to those who doubted her

Thats how i see a Hybrid working for this, similar to the relationship between an ipad and an iphone, apps can play on both, one has advantages over the other - but with a twist in that the handheld can be used as a controller, afterall Nintendo have dabbled with that since the gamecube, so if both are designed at the same time with unified OS then they can line up form factor two. i don't in anyway see games being made with any unique elements that require a NX console/Handheld set up, but it would be nice to see that if you are using the handheld as the controller on a game that runs on both, it simultaneously saves the game to both devices, so you can seamlessly pick up the game on handheld I think the patent previously shown will in some way relate to the handheld - removable ergonomic grips that come with the console! Handgrips are popular for handhelds but equally are not very portable, so if nintendo can make a console that has slip on/clip on grips that are as standard and devise a way to make them easily portable then they are on to a winner! Think cut half a loo roll in half, have something hollow that can slide into groves on the console, but then also due to its lack of form be easily put in a bag/pocket etc I certainly think at the very least the patent shows they've dabbled with such ideas Looking forward to @Kaepora_Gaebora next episode of the Neurope show to see if he discusses all this recent leaks and speculation -
is it an argument like when they say 30fps is unplayable after playing 60fps? because i laugh at all those statements after coming from the 80s/90s gaming frame rates Have to say though on New 3ds the demo runs like garbage with 3D on, utter garbage - as much as i hated Gamefreak doing it, i think it might have been better to have 3D locked to cut scenes

Is anyone following the Hulk Hogan Vs Gawker Media trial (owners of Kotaku) Gawker Media with a net worth of $300million a TL: DR version is Hulk hogan was filmed having sex (without his knowledge), in it he said some racist things also, Gawker got this secretly filmed tape and plastered it all over their website - the same website that complained about the celebrity nude icloud hack "the Fappening" Hulk Hogan takes them to court and sues them for $100 million - a laughable sum but considering the hipicorisy and how he was filmed without his knowledge, Gawkers defence of it being in the public interest was weak as shit and despite hilarious jurors being dismissed for being angry at him for certain wrestling matches the trial has gone ahead He only fucking won, despite it best guesses of a potential moral victory and him getting modest sum........ $55 million in economic injuries + $60 milliion for emotional distress = a massive amount in damages owed by Gawker And punitive damages will be tacked on top of that $110 million So what does this mean for Kotaku (and the other media outlets) owned by Gawker Is this the end for Kotaku? Loving the obvious wrestling related puns and gif's that are blowing up on twitter right now Schadenfreude to the max right now

Very good points too, if its amazing troll to wind up nintendo fans it worked Do hope we get some genuine news soon, because that was fun whilst it lasted, and made me realise despite thinking otherwise, i'm kind of hyped for the prospect of the NX Guess i'll just wait for someone to do a very convincing Photoshop mock up of the more wiiu pad looking patent to get hyped again This mock up on GAF makes the 'leak' actually look quite nice -

Yeah a leak of such sort is damaging as it removes context, and scale That could be wiiu game pad sized and therefore have a much larger screen, equally it could be a little larger than an iphone It could have physical clear buttons, it could be a freaking peripheral! so leaks like this aren't good -

Hate to say it but something to talk about excites me most anyway Rosti the source updated since people are confused The most pertinent bit being that individuals (could be read as Nintendo Execs) are very unhappy over the leaks including this one, So its possible this is something Nintendo produced, but more than that is unknown I'm tending to think this could have been the failed prototype, hence Nintendo's indignation as it is bad PR I don't dislike the concept of this, it could work, but the form factor of it is wrong and looks awful, IF nintendo went down the route of a hybrid controller screen i would expect it to have a bare minimum of two face buttons more than likely 4, set into a more square form factor - this screams early prototype from those images -

I don't see how that confirms it to be fake (unless i'm missing something) because all that shows it that is that frame of the Unreal4 Demo and overlays it at the angle the controller is at EDIT: although this makes sense http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=198610895&postcount=4036 It just seems to cast doubt on it further confusing the vague statement from the guy with the NDA, which is open to interpretation Prehaps that was a prototype that was not inteded to be for the NX Perhaps its entirely fake PErhaps its an early prototype "this should not have exposed" is open to a lot of interpretation -

It will be the controller only, so all they need it to emulate the main screen on the game pad like they did with WiiU, the OS will likely emulate the buttons required on the face but i'm guessing here, it seems like its intended as a traditional controller sized WiiU Gamepad The detectives over at gaf found the image on the prototype controller at around the 6 second mark, so would suggest the system is outputting this at 63fps running at at least benchmark levels for the engine The prototype showed snap on grips for this design and could opt to only display in the centre of the pad - if so the area under the buttons is akin to having multiple display support on a PC - just extra viewspace Strangely the info and detective work is intriguing me enough where i'm open and slightly excited if this is the pad, reminds me of some of the mock ups people on here did of redesigned WiiU pads -
Will they ever be able to allow cross saves? thats the only DLC i want for this

The idea in theory is sound, only modular sticks on a form fit screen which allows virtual buttons with haptive feedback, however the shame is really odd, a more rectangular design and some actual rear ergonomic grips would be beneficial If it turns out to be anything it could have been an early prototype, but its far more likely to be fake, based around that patent a few months back. Rosti on Gaf posted This, seems he is a relatively trusted industry insider Its in Hex and backwards -"this should not have been exposed" Not sure what to make of that, people are taking it as confirmation it is real to some degree more mock ups from reddit -
What Levels are everyone then? I'm just short of Level 24 now, both my mates have somehow managed to get to lvl 30
