  1. Glover sounds like it would be perfect for some kind of remake or remaster. I just read about the nearly completed sequel which I had no idea was in development until I read your post, quite fascinating really and I'm looking forward to read what you say about it. Also, i feel the need to share that Glover was a sponsor for a WWE (WWF at the time) PPV in 1998:
  2. General Switch Discussion

The new trailer for Multiversus is pretty good
  3. Funny enough I was in WH Smiths just under a week ago which was the very same one I used to buy a lot of my gaming mags in back in the 1990s and 2000s. I popped in to look around for old times sake and I was going to buy a gaming magazine and unsurprisingly, it was actually hard to find them... all there was was Retro Gamer and Edge buried away. In the end i opted to get a random Marvel graphic novel instead I like that Super Play is so high on the list. I would have also put N64 magazine on there which I would have been my personal number 1. Also I agree Gamesmaster should be higher. I gotta say, i was never a huge fan of Edge. I'm not saying its bad but it is so formal and serious, which was never the way I liked reading about video games. Some of you might like the site ForgottenWorlds which is a website that has articles about UK game magazines as well as interviews with people that worked on them. A couple of months ago they interviewed Will Overton who did a lot of the cover artwork for Super Play (you can see one of his covers in my avatar) and N64 magazine.
  4. I always wanted to try out Space Station Silicon Valley, i remember reading the review for it in N64 magazine at the time and thinking its exactly the kind of game i'd be into. I beleive it was re-released on the PlayStation in 2000 under a new name of Evo's Space Adventures, although it sounds like an inferior port going by what the Cutting Room Floor have to say: Also I thought I would post this as you might find it interesting. Edge magazine gave away a CD-ROM with a bunch of trailers on it back in 1997 which had some early footage of Space Station, which I uploaded to youtube years ago. You can see some things that were in there during development that didn't make it to the final game:
  5. Grand Theft Auto VI (Fall 2025)

the release date has been narrowed down to "Fall 2025"
  6. I had never played Super Mario Land until today, so it is a first for me. I've only played a few levels and it seems incredibly easy but at the time i remember how impressive it was to see a Super Mario Bros game running on a handheld device. Whats funny to me is that I am familiar with the music from the first levels because it was released as a pop song in the early 1990s, so i keep thinking of this while I am playing:
  7. Nintendo Switch Successor Announced

Nintendo had an enhanced version of BOTW running behind the scenes at Gamescom in September last year, running at 4k and 60fps: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2023/09/rumour-switch-2-gamescom-demo-supposedly-had-zelda-botw-running-at-4k-60fps So that code name might just be that demo, or they really are going to release a full on enhanced port. When reading this yesterday I learned that Mario 3D Worlds code name was RedCarpet with the Switch version being called RedCarpet-S, Mario Kart 8 on Wii U was Turbo and TurboS on Switch.
  8. Tetris 99 -- Available Today

Just a reminder, the Endless ocean event is now live
  9. General Switch Discussion

You won't be able to upload screenshots to Twitter/X after June 10th this year: I assume this is for the same reason that Sony did this for PS5 last year: Elon musk raised the API usage fees for X to $42,000 a month
  10. General Switch Discussion

Yeah i am surprised Smash 64 has not been added to NSO already, when/if it does it would be a big deal for a Direct so that would be a perfect thing to announce in June.
  11. The Super Mario Bros. Movie (April 7th UK)

The Super Mario Bros movie was the most profitable film of 2023: https://deadline.com/2024/05/the-super-mario-bros-movie-profits-1235902894/
  12. My Nintendo ( Club Nintendo Successor )

Yeah they're quite nice. I was surprised that they are made out of metal too.
  13. My Nintendo ( Club Nintendo Successor )

I had some points expiring by the end of this month so in picked up a few things, which arrived in an oversized box lol:
  14. Tetris 99 -- Available Today

40th Max Cup/Grand Prix on the way. This time it is for an Endless Ocean Luminous Theme. It starts on the 10th of May, running to the 13th:
  15. Lego City: Undercover (Switch)

Nice write up @darksnowman i agree with everything you said there. I picked this game up a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. The humour works really well and its one of the few games to make me laugh out loud. I keep meaning to go back and finish it. Also a suggestion, if you ever want to play another Lego game, Lego Marvel Superheroes (the first one) is very good and also features a hub world of New York city. Normally it's on sale for a few quid on the eshop
  16. The Wrasslin' thread

The best I can come up with is that Warrior was trying to show the bond his team had... by taping them all up lol I'd love to see what happened after the crew said Cut! and they all had to awkwardly remove the tape while asking Warrior "what the hell was that about man!?" I bet they all had a laugh about it though Yeah i forgot he got that big but i think there was a lot of pressure on the guys back then to look huge or they'd never get pushed higher up the card. I assume he was on something like so many of them were back then
  17. The Wrasslin' thread

    Warrior was insane lol
  18. If i remember correctly, N64 magazine used to talk about Extreme-G quite a bit and seemed to really like it. I always wanted to try it out but never got a chance until today and it's pretty good and seems to hold up really well.
  19. General Movie Thread

    Deadpool & Wolverine trailer:
  20. The Wrasslin' thread

The WWF Attitude Super Bowl commercial from 1999, randomly popped into my head this morning so I found it on YouTube to see it again. This video also shows some of the behind the scenes stuff that went into making it as well.
  21. General TV Thread

I've been watching the new Fallout series on Amazon and it's pretty good. I think its on of the best shows i've seen in a while. I know next to nothing about the games, as I've only played Fallout 3 for about all of half an hour. So I'd say its worth watching even if you know nothing about games series, as it stands on its own feet
