It's not really that for me, more of a case of just a tiny bit too much. If they dropped the RRP to £130-£150 then i'd pop in to Gamestation, trade in a few games and leave with Rock Band. I'd pay £80-£100 in cash quite happily. Heck, i'd even be happy with £80-£90 for the drums + game. Im not prepared to fork out £130-£150 in cash though, not a chance.

So, i guess it's now down to choice. Do we follow the Rock Band series or the Guitar Hero series? If the Rock Band instruments are compatable with the sequel then i think it'll go down that road. More DLC and tbh the track selections are a lot better, they seem to have found the happy middle ground between well known and good

Get a base level 8800GT, the overclocked ones and ones with extra memory tend to be bad value for money. As the man says, BFG are great. The warranty isn't lifetime though, the EU says no to lifetime warranties (10 years is still plenty though surely?). Lifetime in US and Canada only

^ this Even if you did manage to book 2 full rooms for 8 people they'd still "accidentally" end up putting 2 extras in each room. Last time we tried to pull a stunt like that (overbooked to get the whole room) some of the staff used the spare beds

London ain't central, it's not even close... And there's loads to do in Liverpool, it didn't win European City Of Culture for nothing y'know London really isn't the only interesting city in the UK, theres plenty to do in Birmingham, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Cardiff, Dublin and probably many others (those are just the ones I know from experience). London IS a great choice for the meet, but it's by no means the only choice. Nearly everything that can be done in London can be don elsewhere (and more)

Not sure i am gonna buy tomorrow now. 2 problems: 1. How the hell do i get the instruments home from town? That box is huge! I've got a 4 mile bus trip followed by a one mile walk! 2. My 360 is away to die. Drive tray jammed last week followed by it eating GoW, RROD'd today and now it makes a wierd grinding noise every time i turn it on. I know neither of those stop me buying the game, but spending £150 and going to all that trouble to get the game home just to have the console die on me is NOT my idea of fun!

Im at work til 4-ish on Sunday and 6-ish on Monday, but yeah sounds good I'd prefer Monday over Sunday, want to go out drinking Saturday or Sunday night so i'll either be hungover and very tired or down the pub. If Sunday is better for everyone else i'll go for that though. EDIT: I got my first RROD today and now my 360 is making a grinding sound every time it's switched on (still playable though). It might be over now, you had to visit 3 times on 3 different days within a certain period of time and find 3 matches (they pop up after a few mins of browsing). Still, if you can get the voucher it's well worth it. No minimum spend afaik

Then the only other way is to go outside the house, fixing the cable to the wall and then drilling through either a wall or a window to bring the cable in to the room. Basically there isn't an easy way to fix a cable to the main antenna of the house.

The problem there is the cheapest i can find the game + kit for is £100, i can buy the complete set for £130! Decisions, decisions...
