If UAC pops up every time the computer boots or is incompatable with the software you use then it's the software vendor's fault. You need to pressure them in to fixing it. If they say it is fixed and you're running the latest version then you've probably got a virus of some sort. Either way, UAC is doing it's job by protecting your computer

Don't order the game from play.com, you'd be better cancelling and ordering from shopto or going to your local Tesco. Either that or you'll be waiting until friday for the game (2nd class post = lame)

Can you use a mouse and keyboard with PS3 games? I seem to remember reading you can, but is it all games or just supported ones?

Basically it's there to stop you fucking up. Everyone does from time to time, even if you "know what you're doing". Without UAC an installer could easily install the program that you think it's installing as well as something malicious. If you have UAC on it will alert you that the program is doing something unexpected and ask you if it was meant to do it. I "know what im doing" but it's saved my bacon once, so i'll be keeping it on. There's a lot of stuff on the Vista Blogs explaining what it is and why it's there and tbh once i'd read it i figured it was probably vest to play safe and leave it on. Now that my computer is nice and set up i see it once in a blue moon.

You can sing a whole octave higher or lower, so you don't need to strain your voice as long as you hit the right note. Completed Vocals on easy, will do medium later (when there's nobody around to hear me). Now time to finish the Guitar on medium!

Oh look, the "experts" have all come out to play again. This board is really, really lame these days. Ubisoft obviously think they can sell BG&E2 on 360 and PS3, either that or Ancel just wanted to make use of the extra visual power of those 2 consoles. Don't forget, the 360 and PS3 have an install base of almost 30 Million between them world-wide so it's not like they are actually lacking people to sell this game to. As for the game, it looks stunning! Really, really good. If the whole game looks like that it could well be one of the best looking of this generation!

There's some Mad Katz instruments coming out that work with Rock Band, the prices on Play.com aren't nice thought. They seem to be charging the same amount as the official instruments

I got the game yesterday, not had a chance to play it yet. Can't wait to pick up the instrument pack, but i think i'll wait til next pay day. Guitar and Vox should keep me entertained until then

If people are worried about where they sleep the hostel don't just do 6-bed dorms. I dunno why, but i hadn't considered the option of just buying the game on it's own until now. I think i'll do that, trade in some stuff tomorrow at Gamestation and pick up a copy of the game. Guitar and Vocals will keep me busy for now, i'll get the instrument pack at some time in the future

Not really an option for the 360 version, they've made sure of that by pricing the separate bits high. The drums and game alone will set people back at least £100. Given the whole lot can be had for just over £130 it would be pretty daft to buy the drums and game alone

After reading why it was included in Vista in the first place i decided to leave it in place. It barely ever pops up now, it was just irritating in the initial set up bit (installing all the programs etc.) You get used to it and it stops being annoying.

The price probably won't drop for a long time, Guitar Hero II still RRPs at £69.99 and the lowest price i've seen is £50. Same goes for GHIII, which was £45 at Zavvi over the weekend. EA won't drop the RRP, you'll be waiting for retailers to drop the price. As Play.com et all are already losing £50 on the RRP i'd say it's pretty unlikely that you'll see it cheaper than £130 any time soon. It's a sod as well, at £100 it would sell like hot cakes. Heck, even just the drums and game would sell for £100!

You need to scare them in to not coming back, and there's one very simple way to do this. Bring a chainsaw with you. If one of them produces a knife then take the chainsaw out of it's bag and start it up. They won't be expecting it and the supprise of the whole thing will cause them a lot of fear, you instantly become a psycho in their eyes. They won't come back, people who are crazy enough to bring a chainsaw to a skate park aren't to be messed with. There's only a few flaws: 1. If you get caught by police threatening someone with a chainsaw then you're in deep shit 2. If one of them is carrying a gun it will probably get you shot 3. If they are really close when one of them produces a knife then you'll have to forget the saw, you can't chance one of them (or one of you) tripping up and landing on the blade (or someone foolishly trying to take it out of your hands). It's an extreme solution, so im not really suggesting you do it unless you are very, very desperate. It will work though.

They're placebos. Note that the advert doesn't actually tell you anything, it just quotes a load of "real" peoples experiences. Google "Blue Pill" if you don't believe me, the stuff it's made from does nothing. Not a thing. At all (except give some people Diarrhea). The only stuff that works effectively is Viagra. There are herbs that can do the job, but as a suppliment rather than "take this and half an hour later you're ready"

I have the same problem with Guitar Hero. Only got TDWDTJ and Raining Blood left to do, finished every other song on medium. Hard is just too much of a step up, it's not fun and there really isn't any incentive for me to do it. Maybe i'd be more motivated if playing hard unlocked more songs? Im so close to giving in and buying rock band right now. Think i'll check my bank ballance on my lunch break 2moz, if it's good then it's off to HMV for me!
