Read that, decided to make sure i didn't make the same mistake and guess what I had CX-55s not CX-500s. No idea what the 500s are like

So; it's good for you, it adds flavour and it adds moisture, yet it's needless? Hmm How about trying some recepies with and without oil, then see the difference. You'll realise pretty quickly why Olive Oil is used so much (it's one of the tastiest and health oils around)

If they could literally rot in jail then i'd be happy with that, it costs the state barely anything and is an effective punishment/deterent. The problem is we have to take care of these people, and i really, genuinely don't see the point in taking care of anyone that doesn't contribute to the wellfare of the state. I'm even more against taking care of those who degrade it. It's a shame we can't just re-open to coal mines and put em to work tbh.

Some people have far more priveliged lives in prison than they do outside of it. Prison ain't like a 5-star hotel, but it's better than being homeless or on the doll living out of a scummy bedsit. In prison your life is also arranged for you, which really clicks with some people, causing them to re-offend in order to get locked up again. The current prison system doesn't work (i'm not suggesting all these people should be killed btw). Also, if Bin Laden was living in a country with the death penalty and claimed responsibility for something he wasn't involved in, knowing that it would bring him the death penalty then surely that means he wants to be killed? It's practically euthanasia And a single last point; rehab is an easier way out than the death penalty. If you are anti-capital punishment for that reason then surely you are also anti-rehab? I'm not talking to anyone specifically here, but just pointing out that the punishment argument is flawed. It leaves prison as the only answer, and that's only an option because it's a damn site easier than actually dealing with the problem in any way, shape or form. Sweeping things under the carpet FTW! Long live Britannia!

Just look out of the sheer curiosity and it's like £350 for you guys to go first class, even with a rail card. What are you paying? £100 each or some such silly price? -
Headphones never last longer than 6 months for me, if they did i'd be buying decent pairs The CX500s were the best headphones i've ever owned! Will prob buy a new pair soon so i can get rid of these crappy iPod things.

OK, good luck I'm pretty sure you won't get anything that equals that 3 deal unless you go landline though. 0.5p per minute for calls to Australia was pretty amazing, really not surprised they stopped it.

That mathimatical argument is completely flawed. You give the belief of no longer existing a numerical value of 0? So what you are saying is that the idea of no longer existing is less scary than the idea of spending the rest of your life in prison? It might well be less scary, but that all depends on the person's outlook on life. If they like being alive then ANY death is going to be worse than prison, if they see death as an escape then death will always be better than prison. Also, surely using this system would give Norway's rehabilitation system a score of 0 or -1. A rehab camp isn't in the slightest bit scary, but it does work. Personally i think Rehab > Death Penalty > Prison. Prison is the worst method of dealing with crime, locking people up ISN'T dealing with the problem. All we are doing is pushing criminals to the side so that we don't have to deal with them and then throwing money in to the prison service to make sure we are in line with human rights. I can see the attempts at rehab, but they don't extend far beyond giving prisoners luxuries and hoping that it allows them the reform upon leaving. The only problem i can forsee with rehab is that our culture isn't right for it. Rehab in this country is seen as an easy way out, freedom after a few months/years in prison. Maybe the answer is to turn a large, unused part of Scotland in to a "community prison" complete with towns etc. where the prisoners all have to work and live together to survivie. It's better than rehabilitating people straight in to society, which very rarely works.

Carphone Warehouse do Mobile World, a Pay As You Go tarriff with cheap international calls. I'm not sure how much you're used to paying, but 6p per minute to land lines, 20p per minute to mobiles and 15p per text seems OK to me. http://www.google.com 11th of July. Couldn't you just search next time though?

Not sure myself, i think they should have moved it to a 3rd person 'over the shoulder' RE4 style game. I just think it would suit the new Bond films more, they aren't as run + gun as the Brosnan films.

Just been looking at train prices - £31.20 return or £45 First Class. Guess who's traveling down in luxury £7.50 extra each way is pretty good really considering i'll get free food, drink, a newspaper, better seats and access to the first class lounge at Euston. I normally spend at least a fiver each way on snacks + stuff. -
I just fill in whatever gaps are needed in the team i'm playing in, i'm a terrible Demo and Spy but other than that i'm OK. Mostly it's Engie, Pyro + Sniper, but i'm spending more time as a Heavy and less as a Pyro since the Pyro update. There's too many Pyros on and i hate the luck-fest that is Pyro vs Pyro fighting The only thing that annoys me about the game of late is the 50hp Pyro health boost when he's using the back burner. I end up fighting them as an Engineer WAY too often, but now that they have almost double the Engie's HP i don't stand a hope in hell I've put over 160 hours in to this game since i bought it! Holy sh*t!

Join up, your more than welcome. It's pretty much unused anyway We really should get a TF2 night sorted out, there's more and more people on here with the game all the time!

Your thinking of Gamerscore here really, there's a difference between Achievements and the Gamerscore you get in reward. Good Achievements are new challenges, stuff you wouldn't normally do in a game. They add things to do, which really can't be a bad thing.

Hyde Park Map: http://www.royalparks.org.uk/docs/park_maps/HydePkMAP.pdf The only difficulty we have is none of us know exactly where Wireless festival is taking place. Could someone in London go take a look? And yes, i am coming. Was thinking about bottling it Jay, that's why you didn't get a PM. Basically people are giving me a hard time for disappearing this weekend because they wanted to go boozing for my 21st this weekend. I've had to make up for it by telling them i'm waiting for my parents to disappear off on their hols (13th) then having a house party So ya, basically i'll be there. I probably want to check in to the hostel earlier than 4pm tho, was considering either Wireless festival or The Music at The Astoria on Friday. 4pm is OK for The Music, but will mean i miss a few bands at Wireless (i think, will check when it starts). EDIT: Never mind the thing about check-in, performances don't start til 3 at Wireless so at the most i'll miss Lightspeed Champion and Dirty Pretty Things. Not that fussed about either tbh (they're both at Reading Fest) -
The USB connection is most likely to play back DivX files from a memory stick
-
I envy you so much Looks like one hell of a line-up tbh, only reason i didn't go is because the MK Bowl is a crap venue. I'm contemplating heading down to London on Thursday now rather than Friday so i can watch Jay-Z at Wireless in Hyde Park. The Glasto performance was brilliant, better than i was expecting (and i already had him down as the only person worth buying a Glasto ticket to see).

I should point out that you are wrong. Most TVs don't have DVI, it's a standard on PC monitors, not TVs. Most UK TVs will have Scart and Composite at the bare minimum, with Component and HDMI being a lot more common than DVI.
-
Who will you see? I'd recommend Feeder and RATM. Kaisers are around EVERY year but chances to see RATM live are rare. Feeder are one of the best festival bands, you will not be disappointed! TBH Feeder beat most other bands i've ever seen live.
-
Okay, that narrows it down a little. Any more info you're willing to divulge? Costco do stock some very good TVs you know? The same stock as Currys for the most part (with a splashing of Argos)

Yup, it's normal. If you have free RAM then Vista will use it. When the RAM starts to fill up (like more than 70%) the OS starts shrinking out of the RAM again to free up more for programs. It's a good thing, makes the computer run faster.

Yes, a £2 plug adaptor. How in the hell does a £2 plug adaptor stop the 230V of UK electricity from frying this thing?

Hang on, you actually drink that stuff voluntarily? I don't appreciate alcohol at all today, was out for my mate's 21st last night. Twas pound night in our local club so i was pretty wrecked. As Dan Dare says the cheaper the spirits the worse the hangover, hence my far from pretty state this morning (no puke-age though, try the other end). Birthday boy should be a damn site worse though. I bought a round of 10 shots for everyone and he started necking them. All 10 in under a minute. Then a bottle of San Miguel, and about 10 minutes later his brother was at the bar buying him another stack of shots Favourites? Staropramen is pretty damn nice beer, Weston's Cider is king and Makers Mark whiskey has to be the nicest thing ever invented by man ever™

I've seen that, been wondering what it's like. Reluctant to buy it given i've heard literally nothing of it.
