  1. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast > Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight > Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy > Dark Forces In my opinion. Outcast was really good if you put the time in. The first few levels were a bit dull but it picks up further in and is definitely the best of the Dark Forces series. I bought Jedi Academy a few weeks ago and tbh i think it pales in comparison to Outcast and Jedi Knight. Dark Forces finishes bottom because i only played it through a few months back and it really hasn't aged well I really want to see a 5th Dark Forces game now
  2. Nah, yer better at Gears than me Stef Nanny McPhee?!?! NANNY McPhee? Oh you'll regret that one...
  3. A 2TB iPod? The whole of the iTunes store in you're pocket? Now that would be something!
  4. Yeah, but that doesn't always go to plan. The DVD Forum say HD DVD is the next gen DVD format but Sony went a head and did their own thing regardless. Thinking about it thats the second time Sony have grabbed a bunch of companies, given the 2 fingers to the DVD Forum and made their own format (hence why why have DVD+R and DVD-R). Im surprised they're still a member...
  5. Im pretty sure they can, yes. The technology is very similar to DVD, its basically DVD 2.0
  6. Im down to decision time for my new TV. The new Samsung R88: http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/544896/art/samsung/le32r88bd-lcd-television.html Or a cracking price on the Toshiba WLT68: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000JU0H22/kelkoocpc-lcdtvs-21/ref=nosim (Spec is wrong on here) Really doing my nut in! £600 is a bit much to spend on a TV but the WLT68 is one of the best LCDs ever made, well worth the extra money! That price is the cheapest on the net by about £20, £80-£100 cheaper than places like Empire Direct and £200 cheaper than Comet! Gah! I was happy with the Samsung until i saw that!
  7. This the sort of thing you're after? http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/657/864/-/3348756/LG-M228WA-22-Widescreen-LCD-Monitor-With-TV-Tuner/Product.html?P36=5K3DYP No idea when it will make it out though, its been delayed loads already
  8. Just a quick note to let you all know i've been made the Tech Board mod. Switch
  9. Im interested in this game too. Will probably wait for Shopto to get it back in stock then order for £30
  10. Just been looking at this one myself, I thought it had 3 HDMI though? Dixons have it at £488 minus £10 using the code 10JUNEAW
  11. I will, not played through the single player yet on any level
  12. That sounds so much fun! I'll wait for a demo though, saving all my cash for a new TV at the moment
  13. You're TV have movie mode? Apparantly that switches it off. Other than that the only solution i can think of is to try borrowing someone elses remote
  14. Sounds like a good deal. Yes, the Asda thing is stealing but i was just passing the info along, its up to you if you're moral compass allows you to do it. I'd never try it myself, but then again i purchased an extended warranty. By the time that runs out the 360 will be about £80 anyway
  15. 240 x 155 pixels. Google, the greatest invention the world has ever known...
  16. Its the backlight. It decreases brightness as a cheap way to increase the detail in black areas, turning the auto-adjust off will lessen the detail in dark areas of the screen. Not sure about you're specific set but i think you just need to follow these steps: 1. Put the TV on standby... 2. Then press info-menu-mute-power, one after the other and the service menu appears. 3. If you go into option 2, you can turn off 'Dynamic dimming' is, that annoying habit the TV has of changing the brightness of the backlight during programmes. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE IN THE SERVICE MENU. CHANGING THE WRONG SETTING COULD MESS YOU'RE TV UP BADLY AND YOU'D NEED AN ENGINEER OUT TO FIX IT
  17. TBH i agree that Firefox 2.0 is a poor mans IE7. Mozilla need to find something new to beat IE with or give us a nicer looking browser because at the moment the only real difference is looks
  18. I've never been an IE user, before i got my laptop i used Netscape (AOL). I went from that straight to Firefox because at the time it was more feature packed than IE (mainly the tabs). I tried IE7 but tbh it doesn't offer much over Firefox and it would involve learning an new interface
  19. Chuck, return it to Asda and if they ask say it was bought 10 months ago and you lost the receipt. The person at customer service will even be very apologetic, some people have gotten vouchers out of them
  20. Bit difficult for any of us to recommend models, you guys have completely different sets over in the states Try: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/ I've heard good things about the site but not spent a great deal of time on there because they mostly focus on American TVs
  21. Its funny, for a minute there i thought you were describing the iMac
  22. Like all technology these will rapidly fall in price anyway. I bet they are affordable in 5-10 years
  23. Daddy. Chips are good when they are fresh, over chips suck ass! How can people be slamming the malt goodness that is vinegar!
  24. Im going to Fflam Festival in July and then i've got to quit my job in August because my work won't give me time off to go to V and Leeds (problem with holidays, mine got double booked with someone elses ) Hopefully then starting an Apprenticeship in September, getting paid to learn ftw! Other than that its boozing, gigging and gaming!
