There was an advert last night during the Brits but it was for 1 2 Switch and was pretty terrible. Why they didn't show Zelda is beyond me.

Haha I was very bored during the Brits this evening so decided to throw it together. I don't even really like it all that much (my Res one was ma fave) but as hype builds I felt the urge!

In all seriousness though, when the hell are we getting a Direct?! Surely there's got to be one coming up presumably just after launch now?!

Yeah same as me. This will just give me more than the measly onboard memory should I want to download the slew of VC titles available... The memory cards will definitely come down in price and get bigger capacity wise as time goes on, but for now 128gb at that price is amazing I think. Plus you get 3 months free Tidal subscription (music streaming) with a code on the inside packaging. And it's normally £20 a month for the high quality stream which really is amazing. So it's win win! Sorry to have to post these 2 morons again, but they bring an official unboxing vid for all to enjoy... on mute.

So I just checked and I can get a 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus memory card for £32.34. Meant to be £50. I can 3 for 2 these so I can effectively get 3 for £64.68. Happy to send 2 of them out to people on here if they want one for £21.56 (to be exact). Just send fundage via PayPal to sort but let me know. Saves paying £50. I'm trustworthy. Haha. @S\.C\.G will vouch for my trustworthy-ness with our past 3DS transaction ha. Offers there but there's only 4 available to 'instant ship' from the CPW warehouse so I could only do this once unless more stock comes available. There's lesser sizes I could do it on but I guess most people would want the max and 128gb is the most we do.

Got my Wii U on the Thursday so my fingers are crossed, but I have no time off anyway (damn work holidays running out) so I guess it doesn't make much difference! Next week will be a long one!

Interesting GameStop comments. The launch doesn't really feel smart to me, but I guess I just wanted MK 8 to play in handheld mode on my shiny new Switch straight away. When I think about the 'launch window' titles though, they do seem to have a nice pacing as by end of May there will be a lot of releases that I am definitely going to be purchasing. It'd still be nice to get some big third party titles announced though, even if they were games that have already been released on other consoles. I know there are no plans to bring RE:7 to Switch, but something of that nature would really help.

I feel like the hype gifs need to come out on the 7 day stretch. Right now it still feels a touch too far away despite being oh so close. *salivates

I've just Wiki'd Bomberman games. There's an absolute shed load. Why have I never played one I wonder? Even mobile phone games and handheld titles. Although it would seem he hasn't been on a 'home console' for 7 or so years. Whether you class the Switch as home console or not, it kind of is I guess. Notice a 3DS title was in the works but Wiki says 'cancelled'? I feel like I need to buy it just so I can show my face round here still! Baffled that I'm so uneducated in Bomberman!

I mean, I've heard of it. But I don't really know why I've never played one? I never had a SNES / NES, I started with Mega Drive, N64, GC, DreamCast etc etc. I know there was a Bomberman on N64(?) but was never inclined to actually play it but can't remember why?! Hmm, might look into picking it up then.

Well I get them on cheap as staff discount and they're 3 for 2. So I can buy 3 at cost price for the price of 2 and keep hold of them. It isn't that I'm going to need them, but no, i don't have any lying round personally. Got one in my phone, one in my camera.

So what have people ordered then, those of you who have decided to purchase day one? I've gone for: Switch in Grey. Zelda BOTW. Pro Controller. Toying with the idea of buying a Joy Con charge stand (charges 4), the neon Joy Con set, a zip case for the Switch on the go, tempered glass screen protector, and Bomberman, but I am not made of money and that will work out at one hell of a launch cost. I could get by with just the console and Zelda but I want the Pro Controller so it's always there for gaming with the TV. What about you lot then?

I've never played a Bomberman game, but this looks pretty good. Is it co-op only?

I have both. I was always in Xbox camp for UI and then Microsoft have done a sterling job in destroying every little good thing about the dashboard since it launched. Just removing features that were a click away on the dash board and tucking them away into a sub menu somewhere. Friend Achievement leaderboard I'm looking at you. My S has also been sluggish, problematic since I've had it. Games don't play with sound after waking from sleep and if they do they freeze and stutter so I have to quit out and start again. A soft reset has fixed some of the problems but it still takes an age to sign me in when I turn the console on. Something that's never been a problem before. The PS4 has a lightning fast UI and things make sense, they're where they should be. I could do without the library and playroom stuff across the top, but when you play your games it pushes them down the list. Switch might look barebones at the minute, but it may add more as time goes by. The PS4 and One both launched with missing features the 360 and PS3 had for years I believe, so they could build on it like they have. And hopefully not destroy it like Microsoft clearly are trying to do.
