yeah happens all the time this in US. don't know if anyone noticed but COD 3 also has a release date of 1st December on Amazon (or at least it did), so I'm really not surprised at all, it is probably on its way to you.

I do love the feeling of getting a console at launch, and this is actually my first ever launch I am not gonna be going into a store on day 1 and getting it, as I wanted to insure I got on and held out for amazon and got one, my excitement though is also coupled with worry, that despite paying for 1st class I am still relying on royal mail to actually deliver on time, I'd hate it being late, cos am at work on saturday, so will miss it so that means waiting till monday to get it from the depot.

Its not deliberate though. they didn't plan to force the shortage, and whether you like it or not, America is the biggest territory for Nintendo, so they are doing that to appease them, its just another part of dealing with living in europe deal with it.

I do think you are over reacting. I am affected by the cables issue, the lack of a VGA cable means I have to settle with composite, which is blurry on my tv aswell, so yes I do tolerate it even though I'm not happy, but I don't go mad over it.Whilst I appreciate it is different as component cables are out, its not as if they are doing it deliberatly, think how big a console launch is, and if this is all that goes wrong I think Nintendo can give themselves a pat on the back. I get what your saying about vids not showing accurately what it looks like, but the gamespot guys were saying looked fine. and finally I don't endorse Nintendork's very word I have had more than enough arguements with him, just agree with him on this one, same goes for yoshiking (who I don't even know) just agree with his view, so is it such a crime to agree with people? NO I don't think so...

you see I would expect it to surely look on a par with the xbox atleast, which for a launch title I guess is acceptable. having said this I've watched some of direct feed movies on IGN and it does look ok, so the character models do look ropey, the walls textures are horrid, but its not awful and it does look alot of fun and the aiming seems to work, i've seen plenty of COD 3 and Red Steel vids where the aiming is all over the place, as the player struggles to get to grips with the game, but there is none of that present in the vids I watched.....

he never said it was a a crime, just that you've got to deal with it, and I don't know how many more times I have to post this but there are plenty of movies of Wii being played on a HDTV without component cables like the whole gamespot marathon and it looks fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and one last thing, don't accuse me of sucking up to yoshiking again, he happens to be right, this is just another example of you over reacting, just like your hmv thread....

well im not worried I've ordered wiiplay and a wiimote at work and I only actually want 1 extra at launch.

yeah they don't sound great, although IGN did say when your running around playing that you mat not notice the poor textures as much, its when you stop, their new hands on really have nothing bad to say about the gameplay, if this does end up having online play could be popular come launch.

erm...nah, played it on PS2 in virgin last night and god it is awful, just rubbishy dance mat game.

Metroid Prime Echoes did, as did OOT bundled in with WW.

yeah i've been swayed back towards maybe getting it at launch, but NO! i'm gonna wait and see what Far Cry turns out like.

just added, star wars clone wars (used to have this quite liked it but sold it for cash) £1 odd 007 Everything or Nothing £4 and Eternal Darkess £3 off ebay to my collection.

yeah very true... who knows we may see a sequel with better graphics if it sells.

this does look really good, still wonder though if it will makes its way here, or if we will see ports of the normal style sims games. I hate to admit it they would be massive sellers....

how much is it? problem is once you've got component cable and vga box it starts getting expensive

for me the above images help to show another aspect about the Wii is all about, not only will this game have wii specific controls, but it has also obviously been designed with a clear and direct idea how they want the game to look, they could have tried to motion capture all sorts of stuff and made realistic models but instead they have created a very distinct and unique graphical look.

I love podcasts! listen to tons, Ricky Gervais, Russell Brand, Adam and Joe (no new ones at mo) guardian unlimited, gonintendo, 1up, n-europe the list goes on... to take this further am also on the volunteers program at uni, and actually doing podcasting go into schools and teach kids how to make their own and put them up on the net.

yeah it did, it has to be said this is truly the single greatest piece of fan orientated hoax in the history of gaming (surely?!) you'd only get a nintendo fan doing something so dedicated...

I don't think this is the case I've played plenty of 360 and its all well and good having spanking new graphics fueled by HD, but Nintendo never intended the Wii to be HD that isn't its selling point and if that all people have to grumble about I think Nintendo can consider themselves about to have a very successful launch. They release the component cables so people who can use them can have an advantage it isnt the be all and end though. They aren't releasing a VGA cable at launch which is my only way of getting the best out of the Wii without buying a new TV. you don't see me saying the Wii is gonna have a mess of a launch. (sorry 3rd children not all this is aimed at you I'm talking in general terms aswell, just using your post as a starting point)
