When I set up the club in the closed beta it did some content may be lost when it goes live,so i reckon it may have gone. I have only managed to get on once today.annoying!

I need a watercan! Mine has vanished! sounds odd but is true went to use and its not in my inventory any more! wondering if i dropped it or sold it by mistake nooks not had one in for two days now.

I am still yet to get a coelcanth in my town. Today it is covered in snow though so there is chance.....I'm disappointed no one build igloo's anymore.

Now played 23 hours and up to level 13, gotten back into it after a brief lull to play resistance single player. Rescued Fawkes last night and got the GECK, now in the erm... if you there you know where you end up, major twist didnt expect it...

the worrying bit is the way they have written "unprofitable or non-core businesses" Playstation 3's still making them a lose surely they wouldn't scale back or heaven bid stop supporting the machine?

YEAH crazy suicidal plonker, love that pic I snapped! yeah us 4 need to get back online again. We have got some fishing matters to deal with! I think it along with Redd only updates once a week, like they did in the old versions, can't believe you spent money in gracies, soooo expensive. ONE LAST THING; On my village notice board it said there will be snowstorm tomorrow (Wednesday) I hope it a real blizzard remember in the cube version when animsls used to build igloo's (don't remember that happening in the DS version) Anyway no online for me tonight just had a quick hour doing some odds and ends. Will be online tomorrow night though....gates open from about 5.30ish.

haha yeah it was awesome. It's wierd we actually did very little but had a ton of fun... I love the picture mode...so much easier than taking them on my phone and then pissing about with that. I have spent 7 hours on it today and whilst I still hate it in some ways I am well and truly caught up in the world of Animal Crossing once again...

Ok here in picture form is a snap shot of some of the fun had today by me and others... My humble home its not much but I love it! Ahhh Yuka oh how I miss you...was one of my favourite villagers in the Cube version, I had a real soft spot for her and hope she crops up in my village one day! One thing who the hell lives in Saltopia? I havn't got anyone on my friends list who has that as their town name but so many animals seem to mention it. Tellyn takes us all for a mug and pretends he has caught the coelcanth (we had 1K riding on it, now up to 5K), I take it with the good humility and call him a loser! I rescue one of the animals trapped as a result of tellyn's manic rampage! After I tell everyone get their rods out of the water whilst I save, I am accused of using chat up lines. I think why the hell not and try out my luck, to no avail. Tellyn goes mad as we all start using a ton of the preset messages... Trying to steal one of my villagers in a net, here let me give you a hand I HATE HIM! Rescuing another poor innocent animal... Suicidal Mole! After Welshgamer whistles the Eastenders theme tune I let him know what I think of his effort!

But you can't say PS3 games colours are washed out without it being implied to all of them he just said PS3 games colours are washed out. But just for the record Burnout Paradise, Soul Calibur IV, Bioshock, FIFA 09, SF2THDR all multi platform with no washed out colours. I would love examples of these games with washed out colours.

LOL! I never realised that! Didn't play the DS version anywhere near as much as cube version. Largely because like you said the two versions were already vastly altered and I prefer the cube model of doing things. There aren't enough chores and save from constant fishing and shell collecting there is less to do everyday. I think the city idea just lends itself to a more casual audience. It makes the hardcore commitment of having to be on the game between specific hours on specific days null and void. They obviously selected the characters to appear in town very carefully rather than loading them all in there. There are some missing who no doubt will still appear in the town from time to time. I'm thinking that walrus (forget his name) for example. They put the best loved characters/most useful characters in the city. The characters who offer the best features, Redd for rare items and pictures, the shows for the emotions, katrina for a bit of fun with fortune telling etc....Including the salon there is a casual move, it wasn't usually available until significantly far into the game, but now it can be accessed from the beginning. I am by no means saying the game is worse off for it but is clearly why it has been done. I still do think the game is very hardcore and I reckon a lot of casual audience will struggle to reach anything resembling an end game scenario ie debts all paid off, town fund donations exhausted, big item haul etc... it is boggling the hours you have to put into it, wish there was a counter. Anyway despite all this I have still put in 3 hours 45 yesterday and 2 and half this morning...Paid off my final set of first payments last night...

I will add you to the clan next time I am on! Good games before Cooky even though we got our asses kicked... I think our slowly does it tactic worked until we got swamped and couldn't handle it. Sorry my plan to go to another game didnt work I didn't realise you hadn't followed me until half way through... Completed the level though it was the level we hated and kept getting butchered on. It gets brutal towards the end far to hand for 2 players I reckon!Then couldn't join you after your invite and finally my mic battery ran out so I gave up! EDIT; matt no worries got your message on PSN, next time hopefully!

Matt can understand the sentiment but for MK fans this is huge its a return to form for the franchise (from what I hear, despite being a massive fan not got it yet! Was on my xmas wishlist did the missus get the hint?) and for DC fans its probably the best game a lot of the characters will appear in for a long time. From what I gather you are a big SF fan and I think you would feel kinda upset if fans of other series said there wasn't room for the latest version. I actually got SSF2THDR over MK vs DC intially as it was cheaper and its been so hyped whereas MK vs DC has largely been ignored which is a shame.

There is a simple reason why a lot of third party PS3 games look worse than their 360 counterparts it is simply because of the bigger userbase makes the 360 often the lead platform for consoles and due to its similarity to PC this makes it even easier. As PS3 hits the critical masses more games may be made with it as the lead platform and it may become less of a problem. Games that have natively been made for PS3 as lead look better on PS3 or don't have issues that their 360 conversion may suffer from. Burnout is one such example at the time of release there were rumblings that the PS3 version had benefited from being the lead platform. The only thing I don't agree with Caris is about the washed out colours. Look at PixelJunk Eden, Uncharted's rich lushly coloured jungle, Resistance 2 has made vibrant colours, LBP there are tons of other examples. In reality a lot of the changes are inconsequential, did the slightly dodgy textures on the Big Daddys in Bioshock effect my enjoyment of the game? Hell no...
