I was considering asking for a Zen instead -- and still might. What are the pricings?

I was in leeds on the 31st and the only place we could find was Morrisons, which only sold ONE calendar - so me and my gal have Mars ones... And then I left the bloody thing in Leeds So when I get it around the 10th, chances are I will be 10 choc's down aaah!

Urrr.. Perhaps this has already been done and I just haven't spotted it? Anyway, I sensed the question in your mind - the months leading up to your second favourite day of the year you've started to ask yourself a very important question for Santa -- Just WHAT is it that Emo wants for Xmas? Well kids, I'll let you know! An iPod would be nice, my CD player broke the other day and it would be.. Nice. Scrubs Series 1/2 yesses. Chuck Palahniuk stuff pleases. A nice ol' [new] Diary where each page is dedicated to a single day. .. And that's all.I think that's a fairly achievable list, considering my birthday is but a mere epiphany away. YOURSELF PLEASE!

Very unlikely! My mistake. All these years, my mistake...

Green Day at brighton were awesome, a really great show that they put on everywhere for everyone yet it still felt like they were doing it for you. They must've spent a fortune on pyrotechnics and all that jazz - like Rammstein whom my pal Ben went to see at Brixton academy and said it was the best gig everr.. But Jimmy Eat World at Portsmouth was awesome, despite the crap venue the band were oozing with enthusiasm (almost literally for the lead singer and his soggy sweating...) I've only seen a few bands though.Zebrahead were awesome considering I had never heard them before teh show, great performers. Oh, and any bands you wish you had seen before tehy split up? Brand New for me, much worse considering all of my closest friends have seen them.

i thought leaving threads were banned? saveitforhim! I've always wanted to say that I knew what it meant but never had the chance. Not that anyone asked for it here. ANYWAY. "Forgetting you, but not the times"

I have not heard of simian but this thread should not go to waste! I'm afraid I am far too lazy to click that link and actually hear them. Consider this a bump if you will. NEXT POSTER! Rate Simian and Kings of Leon puhlease.

Boredom drives me to write silly things. But a physical 'habit' is where I click twice with one hand using an extra finger, then after a prolongued spell of boredom I introduce another hand with two more clicks and voilá! Four clicks in half-a-sec ,repeated until someone gives me something to do.

I demand that everyone sends someone new a PM every day. SOMEONE in this thread will be the lucky recipicent (WOO SPELLING IS HARD) of a piece of my soul, then each day I sign on I will send someone an IM. ... Until then; I've only recieved 2 on here, I've sent three. One I recieved was poo, the other was from my pal.. Not very funny to anyone but myself and probably him, too. Cool thread - Invisirepoints for you.

Good luck to the new moderators. They don't know what they've let themselves in for - it's amazing how things around here change once you begin wearing some stripes. Personally I think I prefer my values, beliefs and opinions to NOT carry such importance. Having to set a 'good' example isn't easy when nobody can agree on what it is exactly that 'good' stands for. I'd still like to see a much more democratic 'elite' system in place, and a closer look at just what it takes to become a 'veteran', but of course my Influence Stripes fell off long ago, so I guess I'll have to resort to the idea that it's only an internet forum, and it really doesn't matter who can do what. ... Although it's wincingly enjoyable to let yourself become absorbed into it all. Gleeeee...

hmm.. i can appreciate that this is not the best picture ever but i do get the feeling that people are quick to have a go at Arab_freak. What's up with that?

I hear that England are now 2nd favourite to lift the trophy next year. I'm not much of a football fan these days but I love the thrill of the tournaments and that's nice to know!
-
personally i'm against the whole concept of these things. I don't know if i can explain how i feel, though. Something about taking advantage of people who know less than you... My words are like the bit on the nail you hit with a hammer; never quite as sharp as my point. Always that little bit broader than what is demanded. Perhaps i'll get back to you?
-
DukkaDukka; thanks I just don't want to write complete essays on everything as people will quickly learn how simple my opinion is for everything, and thus never have to read any of my replies ever again. Arab_Freak; no worries, I detected the humour. I don't know if you were actually being super-clever by using 'kitchen knife' (as that was in my old sig) but I do know that you're not being malicious! All's clear on the horizon. And to everyone else; Metallica have sucked since they stopped doing drugs. Boo!

Oooh.. MORAL stance ey! Well let's see. On the one hand, it is stealing. You're watching something you're supposed to pay for, you're listening to something you're supposed to pay for. Why are you supposed to pay for it? Because it's the laws we are supposed to abide by if we want to live in this society. If everyone obeyed laws without question then there would be no need to have the laws. Also, check out the credits list for a movie- that's a LOT of people who need to earn a living from these oft-pirated things. But then there's teh argument of 'education'. I mean, that whole idea that because we can listen to any music we want, we do listen to a wider range of music and learn about different styles and artists. I think an increase in music listening leads to an increase in purchasing CD's. I mean, the majority of the album's I've bought in the last 12 months were all played to death on my PC first. I think the problem is that people don't actually want to live in this society, so they have less respect for the rules. The whole idea of freedom means people express their liberty just by opposing the laws of their society, by questioning what you're told to do you reject authority. I'll stop writing now before I go too far off the point. (I was about to write about Faith and stuff...)

DZ is a startup from people who in effect met on this forum. The forum acted as an escape for people who were tired of this forum, except most people who made the switch didn't stop coming here. Then some people who joined DZ also hopped over here. Wouldn't call it a feud, just a bunch of people unsatisfied with being satisfied.

hmm mundane lists that noone will read? OK! Right now, Brand New are on repeat in my head. I gave these guys a 2nd chance a few months back when i discovered that five of my closest friends all loved them AND so did my girlfriend... And boy, am I glad I did. Most people will know the track Sic Transit Gloria but everyone should check out their tracks I Will Play My Game Beneath The Spin Light, The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot (a nice sad song) and finally Ok I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't, which is an awesome parody of the very music everyone says the band plays. To be honest, I think it's worth listening to most of their Deja Entendu album for the lyrics alone. The Used vintage stylee, Jimmy Eat World with the albums Clarity and Bleed American pwning up. Heard a band called LCD SoundSystem last night and saw a couple of videos.. they seem pretty damn cool. That'll do. GO!

Hey Tarantino, mind if i spill a few words down your face? Wind your mind back to the days you WERE such a well-loved regular here... Did this place seriously rock? I mean, I can remember the days before you, before most of the people here and to me, they were way grander. But I don't complain and pray HOLY FLYING SHITSTICKS people are saying THINGS! OPINIONS! WTF!¿! .. All I'm trying to say is that if you are considering yourself a veteran of the good ol' days, a living relic of a good poster with good posts.. Well quite frankly I'm glad the old days are over. This form is perfectly capable of decent debates once people break down their own misconceptions of how this thing works. If you're going to argue, you need an opinion. and if you're going to have an opinion, you need some sort of basis* from which this view was formed. So to reiterate; OMG EVERYONE SUCKS BECAUSE I SAID SO isn't really worth posting. If you have something interesting to say, feel free. I'm less interested in most topics on this board themselves and moreso in teh debates which arise between the forumers as a consequence of the conflicts between the differing views. I feel experienced in my observations. From my experience I can add weight to a users opinion based on how logical their reasoning is. My experience tells me that right now I don't respect your opinion, and my senses tell me that not a lot of other people right here do... Which isn't surprising. It's like a family friend seeing you on your 3rd birthday and saying "Your older brother was WAY COOLER THAN YOU when he was your age". It's not cool to say that. anywayshhbye. *... In my opinion, of course!

who said they got angry about it :P I really can't imagine the band themselves would actually be too bothered.

Diary, diary, diary. Yo. Totally mediocre party. Half the people turned up with no booze, the other half weren't drinking, half were uninvited and idiots, half were immature and obsessed with the prostitute lesbians. You have one room with robbie williams playing, a room with men paying girls a three-figure sum to see them kiss and a room with people watching X-Factor. AT A PARTY. There were fireworks and a cool fire though, and some of us DID get wrecked. Lots of sordid events surrounding a 31 year old (at a party full of 18 year olds :/) slutting her way through a slowly degrading list of people i was once proud to call friends. Half of them spent the evening trying to listen in on a threesome that was going on, while the final half threw up and shat on the two toilets, somehow unable to aim or something. So yeah, not the best party. The 'pre-party' thing the night before totally owned. Wallace and Gromit! Ace. Work today was easy, i dossed about so much, spending 30 mins in teh stock room looking for a shelf - Yet somehow the performance at teh end of the day stated that I'd made more money for the store than everyone else combined. *cough* gimme a bonus *cough* .. Found my girlfriend's railcard down teh side of my bed. Been listening to Brand New loads. I haven't showered in 3 days. I'm hungry. My ear hurts. Other work tomorrow at 9, then college at 1:30. First college for over 2 weeks, should be... fun. Yeah.

I just don't believe it.

Today I got back from Leeds. Just spent a week there with my girlfriend, doing everything with her. Went to her uni lectures too - I can't wait to go myself next year. Kinda spent a lot of money on food. Train ride home was uncomfortable, finished my philosophy book in 20 mins and spent the rest of the five hours staring at various inanimate objects. I got home to find my Nan still staying with us, and a pastie in the fridge as my dinner. New issue of GamesTM had arrived, but I haven't finished reading the previous 2 yet, and have the free issue of Bizarre to read. Just realised i don't know where i left it. Going to have to return to college tomorrow, missed a whole week. Don't want to be here. Work at 6, jed's at 9 for a smoke and a biscuit, work tomorrow at 12:30, then more eats followed by work at 10:30 on sunday. All just one big attempt at passing the time. Today someone told me I was too honest. "I Know" didn't seem to help. Came on these forums for the first time in ages to find 3 pages of new threads. Was going to make a thread about summarising, but decided I'd try this instead. Going to go find my magazine - hopefully without my Nan attached to it. Then sleep. [Fancy entering anything?]
