Ah, so you don't like me Well I the fuck didn't attempt to insult you anywhere, but the whole point I raised about broadening horizons is one you overlooked in favour of fuck it insulting someone :P I'm sure you're right, that the smaller the pool of movies experienced, the more likely one is to rate a mediocre film highly. But just stating these 'facts' back at the perpetrator in question isn't going to solve nor aid anything. I've always believed that people who are only nice to people they like actually don't want to let that many people close enough to feel their niceness :P </lame hippie stance>

I've always been told that you'll never stop loving your first love - they'll always be that one person that introduced you to the beautiful world of affection... Now, I don't know if she was your first love, but it certainly sounds like you had an intense bond with her - and those bonds never completely break. Deep down you clearly know that the girl you are engaged to is the woman you can see a future with - do not put that in jeopordy! No one-night stand or short-lived affair, or long-term deal will be able to replicate the future you have ahead of you with this lady who is prepared to announce in front of dozens of people that she loves you and wants to grow old with you and see you get ugly! I am soooo jealous

I never said it seemed deep :P Let's say someone said to you that they liked Metallica. You would say "hmm, sure, not a bad band - but THIS and THIS and THESE GUYS are what you want to be listening to next", you know what I mean? Butterfly Effect tries to be clever - you can't deny that. So recommend other films that you would consider either try better, or actually are clever, and everyone wins

When I was younger the one thing Hallowe'en meant to me was MOVIES. I used to love the prospect of there being at least three films to stay up for. And what's on tomorrow? Generic Halloween, and The Grudge. Rubbish. Halloween 2 saturday though, I think.. then Resident evil following day. SIGH! I've probably been trick or treating about three times.. And once was without any supervision. Aged 14, Me and a mate went around in frankenstein masks and waterpistols and just sprayed through the letterboxes of people ignoring the bells... A few years earlier I devised a 'trick' box, not realising that the tradition is if it's a trick the house-owner does it, and basically had a fake arm attached to the outside of the box, and when they put their hand in i GRABBED IT mwahahaaa.... :P

Yoyoyo! So, liek, what's everyone got lined up for the 'big' day? I'm going to a fancy dress party with Shorty at his girlfriend's house. I'll be dressed as a skeleton thing - got a mask and two sets of gloves... One pair is too big, one too small Also probably going to wear my dressing gown, as it might be cold out. I'll try to get someone to take pictures, and I'll put them on here (hopefully). Two years ago I was getting trick-or-treaters like, a week before and a week after halloween. As shocked as I was upon opening the door to them, they seemed equally shocked that we didn't have any sweets for them...

Harsh, dude... I generally like to think that if you criticise films, you need to appreciate that while many films are made with art in mind, many are made with the use of being watchable. While 90% of the stuff that comes out of hollywood is generic, clichéd and predictable, it must always be taken into account "what is this film trying to do?" I think with butterfly effect, someone like you should at least encourage the notion of the movie being more of a 'stepping stone' towards deeper, more intellectial if you wish, films borne from the same branch, rather than just outright saying it's shit. Because shit depends on the nose, dude. You should be out to inform, not abuse. Why not suggest some similar (and better) films than BE instead? I like the saw films because I like the basic plot devices it uses. I love the idea of what people would do to save their skins, and I like the unnecessary violence. Even though I know there are better films, I still enjoy these ones for what they are

I really don't know who to say - half the people barely say a word - e.g. mundi, the fish, shorty, rez, martinist... And the other half seem to have no consistent playings... But Maase... you killed rokhed! Why on earth did you suspect it was a mafia? How does your role as a time traveller mean you kill someone just like that? Vote Maase for now...

Yeah there's an original. Sort of based on Al Capone, isn'titnow. Gangster movies are good Dark! Broody. Donnie Brasco is a decent mafia-type film. Last Man Standing is a nice take on it... Um.. Man my mind evades me right now.

Quality tune Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie's songs are very story-like, and worth a look. personally, I think you should do something abstract and symbolic. Maybe have a mate jump out with a bunch of roses wearing a gas mask in front of people in the street, and filming it covertly, multiple times. Sort of thing. What is your brief?
