My day has been profoundly average. Didn't think about my ex-girlfriend until about three minutes after I woke up - things are definitely improving! Didn't start drinking until 6pm. Not sure if I wish i had started earlier or not. Ate a tin of spaghetti and a pot noodle and a ham and mustard and mayonaisse sandwich today. Smoked four cigarettes so far. Been outside once. Watched not-much-at-all. Wondering what to watch after Top Gear.. Probably keep it on BBC2 thru 'til MOTD2. Excitement knows no bounds, especially the starting gate.

If you follow the reasoning that, as chairdirver Almighty said, anyone investigating skunky would have found him to be evil, then it's understandable why. Skunky turned out to be a very mistaken chap! Good, perceived as evil. Last time there was two mafia groups. And we knew who was in our own mafia. ... I think if you are offended when people call you fat, ginger or irish, then you are not comfortable with yourself. I'm not a carrot-top, but I've been called ginger. Just took it in my stride because the people who use "ginger" offensively are looking for a rise. I think nigger, paki, chinky, all of those are offensive because they're derogative. Of course, it always depends on the context - but that's why it's alright for a black guy to say nigger to another - because they both understand that the context is wholly innocent (so long as it actually is). My mate says "take time fatty" to me, and I've used it on lots of my friends who aren't fat - even those who might have insecurities about it understand that I'm saying it in jest. As for bullying... well surely the bullies don't just pick on teh black kids, or the ginger ones, or the white ones - the point is that they pick on anyone and everyone in whatever way they can. Think of that scene in fight club where the space monkeys are waiting outside Tyler's house and he comes out and says "you're too FAT"... well one guy he just says "you're too... BLONDE!!". TO a large extent I don't think anyone should pick at the words any bully uses. I like to think that they themselves are just spouting whatever shit comes to mind, so it's offensive if you think they actually have any brains behind what they say.

ah, rez, I was just pointing out that the superman films have been riddled with bizarre, non-superman powers and things for a while. I quite liked the prospect of the little boy - i actually saidYou should have seen the original Kevin Smith script - it had lex luthor as a kryptonian undercover working for teh CIA, and superman having a fully-grown son that replaced him while he was gone... All sorts of serious rubbish.

Ah - so superman kissing lois lane and making her forget everything isn't RIDICULOUS? Nor is Zod lifting people up with telekenisis? Or BEAMS SHOOTING FROM YOUR HANDS? Or, hell, just flying around the world backwards...That's just the stuff from the first two films :P

I don't see why, even if/when you survive tonight, you would choose to simply trickle out your information bit by bit. surely if, after the first bbit of info released, you jeopordise a mafioso - they'll hit you that night? To me it seems that you have nothing, and are simply buying two extra days to use your night-abilities. If you have such info, surely each night you live you'd get another piece of info? HM! .. and we can't go ahead with killing either of us because it's 2am (1am thanks GMTREVERSE!) and the other players are probably all asleep :/ EDIT: (yeah editing blows but i just realised it's not REALLY 1am because it's REALLY 2am because my computer clock is dead smart.. which means "oh crap, less time then I thought")

Prince of Darkness Good ol' John Carpenter. I didn't watch this properly, but I must say - the transmitted dream thing was certainly creepy. Not a scary film at all, but a nice by-road away from zombies and teen-slashers of the era. I can't say that the film did anything for the generations of movies afterwards though. As always with Carpenter, reliable gory bits, decent enough acting and a script that isn't too cliché. Slower than a lot of action films - first 10 mins have, what, two bits of dialogue, and the actual scene of the action doesn't really appear for half an hour - but once it gets going it's fairly continuous until the end of the film, and it has a nice little thinker of an ending. Will take a proper 2nd watch (one day!) to grow a proper opinion, but for now I'd say 6.5/10. 5 is average, of course.

Surely you, if being a townie, will want that information out whether you're alive or dead? Using it as a bartering technique... especially trying to raise on my upping of the stakes by saying you have info on TWO people!! Well, I can hardly sacrifice myself twice..
