how long have you played a game for in one sitting?
jayseven replied to Coolness Bears's topic in General Gaming Discussion
When I first got Pokemon Blue I'd actually played 24 hours on the game in the first 48 that I had it... Once i rented resident evil 4 with a mate and we didn't stop playing it until we completed it - it was a one-night rental and we got it at about 3pm the first day and returned it at 8pm the next! Fag breaks and loo breaks only. at the time, my mum brought us sandwiches and dinner :P -

"But no matter how many times she said it, no matter how many times she pictured saying it to her sister, or trying to imagine that she was standing right in front of her. Saying that one sentence did not feel right unless she said it to the real thing, and not a mere picture of them." Take out the but and replace the full stop after "her" with a comma, and that's one down To be honest, there's never really the need to use it at the beginning of your sentances or paragraphs. The following sentance has enough information in it to make it defunct. You seem to be using in in the sense of something suddenly happening. Feel free to take your time and express that notion in more than one word if you wish. Just take out the but :P Saying "and expected to see the enemy standing there" actually tells us that she won't find anyone there. Maybe say "ready for the enemy" to maintain the suspense, then instead of "but nobody was behind her", use your words to show her surprise - like; "Gone. What was that? She jerked her head one direction to another, scanning for what she was certain was there." n'stuff.

Using the term Chav: Is it 'Social Racism'?
jayseven replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in General Chit Chat
It's a generalising label... but not racism :P -
I picture how the people who know me would react. I imagine writing them each individual letters, what I'd leave to who, and what I want to happen to my remains. I've started looking at people and realising how old they look. How being in your early twenties is totally noticable and different from being a teen. I can imagine how old, grey and wrinkly people will look, and I hate how the guy in the mirror turns out. Extinction is inevitable. We came from nothing, and thus we shall return. Aint got no eternal life.

Rokhed - I might join you. Today I woke up to a text from my ex saying she's sent all my stuff to my home address (which is actually over 400 miles away and a bit annoying). I don't know if all my 'stuff' includes this dvd, or that cd, or a bunch of pogs, or my jacket, or my tshirts and jumpers. I don't know if I care... But I am annoyed that last night I dreamt I was going to send her the one thing I had of hers - a neckerchief. Now... BAH. GAH. WAH!

Did anyone see the new york giants play miami dolphins on BBC2 just now? I used to be interested in the game when early saturday mornings produced an hour of american football. It was quite exciting - definately better without all the adverts typically associated with the american sport. What do people think of the game?

Sanchez said he was evil. if he isn't, we can begin to question sanchez after two wrong decisions. if he is evil, we can treat sanchez like a GOD! Dyson will be tested by the lie detector and rokhed's evil detector tonight. if ashmat is evil, more people can be deemed as potential allies. if ashmat is good, there are more suspects. If dyson survives the night and is BAD then we have another bit o' bait. If he turns up good... well then gee...:P Mcoy POST! you've been reading this thread a while. So have you, sprout.
-
dyson: moogle made them fight each other. I don't think it's fair to say one is innocent and the other isn't, for both might be one or the other. I think at this point, it is either you or ashmat that dies tonight.
-
Ok. I've decided to change my vote to ashmat. If ashmat is innocent, then I will be deeply suspicious of all others who voted for him. I have not lost any suspicion for dyson, but I am HOPING that moogle has some truth in what he says. he has sacrificed a lot to get to where we are today, even if half of his sacrifice (shino vs. thunderer) is so far a complete waste... If rokhed dies tonight, then dyson is to blame. If he survives, then I can trust dyson and moogle. I think it works out well this way. Changevote: AshMat

I think we must think what would happen if dyson is lynched. if he is proved evil, who is then a suspect? Similarly, if he is proved good, who is then a suspect?

i would have to say in my opinion that calling someone a "black bastard" is no different to "fat bastard" or "ginger bastard" because you are calling hte person a bastard and merely using a descriptive. "nigger bastard" is different I don't really think you can ignore the history of the word, regardless of how many years the species has been on the planet. Of course, I've called a mate a "nigger ****" in jest before, but he understood because it was intended to be friendly, and not bullying or offensive in anyway. But he knew htat, I knew that. just as with bullying both parties know what is intended, which is not racism.
-
to be honest, dyson, i think you lying really does not help your cause. There was no need to say you had two bits of info yesterday, especially about who you deemed innocent. Your information on shino is indeed interesting, but I cannot say I can wholly believe it (my own opinion of shino's status aside). I don't think we can go another day without a lynch.
-
Personally I want ot hear what Mcoy, Mundi and Sprout have to say. They've all been currently active viewers of this thread for a while
-
Well I guess here I fall into the other debate; As a near-ginger person, any attempt on me by someone who is attempting to be superiour by using my hair colour is simply hilarious. Perhaps it is as others say; I do not take offence by people using it against me, therefore it is not offensive. Maybe I'm losing the argument here... maybe it's just a hell of a lot more complicated. The word ginger itself is a descriptive term - it describes the colour of your hair, as fat does your body weight. "nigger" itself is in no way descriptive in any objective way because of the connotations with being a slave. It's not necessarily about history in all matters, but in terms of what the word itself means, history certainly counts. What of the word "gay"? Now associated with homosexuality, previously associated with "glee" - and also previous to that, circa the 17th century, associated with homosexual behaviour also. Word meanings are very important and very much to do with history that cannot be overlooked.
-
Well who do you suggest to lynch instead, moogle? and Mccoy, can you explain what happened to you yesterday?

not a problem dude! I eagerly await your work Have fun! -
so can you only detect one liar a day? Why not ask all of us!
-
what? WHAT? I don;'t understand. If I was dyson, I would have used the exact wording that moogle used... And tell me, moogle, what do you mean "do not reach a majority"? EDITok sorry, but posts are quick and my post looks silly now. So moogle, you wish for us to wait until tomorrow to see if dyson was lying or not. In effect you are saying we should give him an extra night to work his powers, surely? But if he gets lynched, we will find out if he is good or not anyway...
-
Rokhed - maybe moogle is trying to cast a spell? Dyson - I think the lynching pressure will continue unless you say what he wants you to say. Your information on mr-paul does not, to me, either seem reliable or useful :/ what is this other info you have? another innocent? Because it is hard to prove that what you say is correct.
-
indeed - as I've said before, he says he has info on townies. If he's just going to name someone then that's unreliable as opposed to naming a mafioso where a lynching would prove him correct. Moogle - I did trust that you risked a lot, but I don't understand why you don't want to lynch him today?
-
no, rokhed said he was innocent.
