So I watched first 4 eps of smallville s7, got a little drunk and decided to call it a night at about half 9... Then I woke up about an hour ago, couldn't get back to sleep! Wtf! So I got up, messed a bit on n-e. Figure I'll go to bed at about 3. If i can't sleep i'll go play half life 2: ep 1 or something.

Yeah you're right, it got really low ratings; I don't think many people 'got' it. It was aired when I had just started college, and I was the only person I knew who was watching it from the start. Shame on the world!

Far too well known. I mean, there's a lot of people who love the show and all. I remember you posting the theme tune a couple of years ago. I think it achieved cult status the moment it was broadcasted.

haha :P I just can't think of any show that I watch that nobody else does, besides Kid's TV. Deadwood is one option buty I know Dan Dare watches it. Another is Mystery Science Theater 3000 which is (was) FUCKING AMAZING.

Ok, excellent, well done Eevil and Letty for sending their lists to me. It's looking interesting already. The game works with three people alright-ish, but obviously it's better the more people that take part. If there's enough interest after this little 'tournament', I was thinking about developing a league of sorts. More on that in the New Year.

Interesting! Nice to see how you write with a different story in mind. Maybe this is a touch autobiographical? Got a tasty neighbour friend, eh? Only two negative things; The first is the bit where you explain teh accent. That might work on tv but if you're reading it... Well if you had written "like, y'knooo, awl sco'ish n' staff"... i mean, if you had written the phonetical sounds of the brummie accent then we could see that, but up to that point the thought of where the narrator comes from hadn't even crossed my mind! The other thing is you say basketball is a beautiful game, but don't say why or how. That's fair enough as it would ruin the pacing, but the statement is sort of in between fact and opinion, almost leaving it up to the reader to decide. In most cases I believe the reader will disagree, which will distance the reader from the narrator. I like that you've managed to portray three different characters fairly quickly. I would've liked to have seen Luke's reaction afterwards. He can either be an arrogant **** who always runs with the ball, or a bit of an idiot who genuinely didn't see him. I like how you establish teh girl; a bit quirky wearing a skirt in winter. Also maybe a little into the lead guy, what with the picture too. I look forward to seeing more of this story. Of course I'm not into football as much as I used to be. I used to read some kid's football stories, and i'd advise you to stay away from that stuff myself :P Where are you going with this story? Is it going to totally focus on the football element? What will the crises be?

Just watched the series premiere of Smallville season 7. Some mega-grin-worthy moments for sure. Had all these ACTIVE plans for today but I think i'm going to opt to stay in, watch smallville then play xbox later. Might well go get some money out and start some daytime drinkies too! bbrbrbrbb

I think I watch more now. Most friday/saturday nights I'm in, and I end up watching TV until like 4am while surfing the net rather than playing xbox or wii... Don't even have freeview yet. If/when we get a ste-top box for xmas, we'll have a few more decent channels to laze in front of We got two TV's in teh house, but the one in my room isn't hooked up to any aerial - meant to be for watching DVD's or playing GC, but i never play GC now, and i never need to watch DVD's in my room with anyone else, so I just use my laptop :/ Fucking ex-girlfriends ruining my tv.

Mystery still, of course Sworn :P It took me a few lines to realise that time had not skipped forward to lunchtime. Maybe use some present-future tense like "well at least it will until lunch time" just to clarify? The only thing for me so far is the other characters are still just parts of the background. Clearly this guy has no friends at school? I did get a fairly decent sense of his dad, and look forward to hearing more about him, and obviously Yoric is an interesting fellow, clearly crucial, but everyone else appears to be just filling the space. There is a sense that the school world will dissapear in the story somewhere later on, but I think it's crucial that you make sure it will be missed on some level if you do. I guess the dad is the way to tie it down, but that might not be enough? So yah, bloody well write more sonny.
