Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
S.C.G replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The second grenade exploded before it reached the pillar because it was in the area of effect still in play from the previous explosion created by the first grenade. You can see this if you rewatch your clip closely. Thanks for the confirmation that this worked in the NSO version though, from what I can remember, you could destroy the pillar, but I'd forgotten about it until seeing the clip. I only played through a few of the single-player missions when the game first came out on NSO, and then I just loaded it up whenever we were all playing multiplayer, but I do intend to play some more single-player Perfect Dark. It's a fantastic game, and I recommend it at any chance that I get, especially when anyone starts a conversation about N64 games down at the shop, because having access to Perfect Dark and all those N64 games, plus other titles with the NSO + Expansion Pack is a real selling point for the Switch. -

Cash always, every single day, I will still pay with card to make certain purchases easier to keep track of, but I always encourage the use of cash in my day to day business, and will always take cash when offered it over card payment, especially as having notes and change is useful when you're running a shop. And it's exactly because of outages like this (among other reasons) why I'll continue to use cash, as if a card payment app fails etc, if the banks are still open, and there are ATM's around then you can carry on paying with cash, at least until the supplies of it run out at the machines, if/when that even happens, which is why it's a good idea to think ahead and carry whatever cash you'll need... at least for the next few days or even up to a week ahead. I rely on buses to get to work as well, so I pay for a monthly physical ticket in advance, in cash, which I can then use for the month (obviously don't lose it) and save money each day, although... there will probably be a bus strike in Cornwall next week for two days, so I lose out there, but aside from that, there's no downside to using cash, except for having to carry it around, but it definitely keeps you more aware of what you're spending, even if it's all just numbers ultimately, whether you pay cash or card, money is required, so I wouldn't want to be stuck not being able to pay for anything, it's good to have options.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

Perfect Dark on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack - N-Europe Multiplayer (19/07/2024) Thanks for the games. Weapon of choice - Unarmed... in a match where weapons were available. Everyone got the same weapon of "choice" later on, but then... that was in a match with no weapons. Rockets only, that was fun, Proximity mines were... yep... and shields remain useful. We did well on the challenges, until the simulants started cheating, so that's the end of those. Good games though. -

Perfect Dark on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack - N-Europe Multiplayer (12/07/2024) Thanks for the games. Some more excellent multiplayer matches with random weapon sets, well... almost random aside from some of us (or just me) still looking at the screen and seeing "Oh look... 'X' weapon!" but still managing to get grenades quite frequently... which quickly devolved into *Select Proximity Pinball* then chuck it and run. Oh and I brought two knives to a gun fight in some of the matches, and won. The challenges were great fun as always, especially the King of the Hill scenario with high level simulants. -

I shall try and be on earlier next week then if I can, to stream from 19:30 so that I can showcase some of your excellent stage and character creations. If you were considering taking a break anyway for a bit then fair enough, I don't wish to influence your plans. But if it's a case of money, if you need an extra £10 or something towards the cost, I don't mind chipping in so that you could resub and have the option of playing Smash each week still. Either way, if you're definitely taking a break, then enjoy, and we'll await your return. Thanks for playing, and see you next week.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
S.C.G replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I would have joined tonight but my TV which has been on the way out for the best part of a year finally became unusable as of last night, so I set about taking the old set out and dismantling my make-shift TV stand which I've had for ages, and then I didn't get around to setting up the new set yet, so here's hoping all will be OK for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tomorrow night. On the upside, I now have the two NES consoles back that I was using as part of the stand... they were £10 or less items when I originally bought them... they probably cost as much as a decent TV stand now. I've got some wooden units ready to make a new TV stand, as I knew this day would come, I just need to sort it all out, heck I got the replacement TV over a year ago, when I noticed the old one was on its way out. Anyway, I'm glad to see that you still got to play, it's just a shame that I couldn't play and stream it tonight, but I should be back to gaming tomorrow night, for now, I'm just typing this as I'm using my second monitor (now set up at the correct height) to just catch up on everything I've missed this evening. -

Man arrested for carrying Master Sword in Nuneaton
S.C.G replied to Ashley's topic in General Chit Chat
Master Sword, eh? Four months? It could be worse... He could have been put away for seven years... -
Good to know. Also, that would be appreciated, thanks. Just in case, as I probably won't try to change it for a day or two (or at all if there are any known issues) but it just looked like a potentially useful feature, especially if we have any members who signed up with an old e-mail address which they maybe don't use, but managed to sign in with it, and wanted to use an alternative e-mail address.

Well, now that the forum has a built-in achievement / trophy system, I can't say I'm too surprised that @Hero-of-Time is busy unlocking everything. ... Do I get something for replying, quoting, mentioning and using a classic emoji in the same post? Edit- what about editing a post? Excellent to see the forums upgraded and working well, thanks @Shorty and thanks @Ashley for answering everyones questions. I have one... I noticed that you can change the e-mail address that your account is associated with, this all works fine I presume? Just that I was considering changing it to my main e-mail address that I use for most accounts, but if it's best that I leave it for a day or two, then I will, but it looks like everything is working well.
