It's hard to explain but it is possible... I know this because there is an even trickier red star coin in the third set of stages that you have to extensively run across walls and jump between them. But basically you have to keep the momentum going so try either jumping or changing direction as you get to the corner, I can't remember exactly how I did it but it takes a little bit of practice; once you've got it down you'll be performing wall jumps etc that you never would have thought possible before in a Sonic game. Also, can't believe they haven't fixed Miiverse yet, perhaps the community will only go live tomorrow, if it really annoys you then it is possible to turn Miiverse/Leaderboards/Wisp Away off - it has to be all of them - but remember that if you get a good time in time trials and have leaderboards off then it won't upload your time.

Yes you could blast through the game in 5 hours... ...if you wanted to miss everything, collect just 10% of the red star coins and set no decent times. :p This is a game that has huge replay value, you definitely will get your money's worth from it. So to those of you who get your copy of the game early today, enjoy it! You've had to wait much longer than me, but I can tell you this... it really is a brilliant title and I can't wait to see others hopefully enjoy it as much as I did. Also I'll see you all on the leader boards.

I really can't be bothered with relationships at the moment, the first couple of weeks after my three and a half year relationship ended I was essentially numb to everything for a while, but now I'm just actually enjoying being single again and while I don't resent the time we both shared together - we actually had some really great times - you don't actually realise how much time you really have until you're alone again. Now I have more time to do what I enjoy, playing/reviewing games, catching up with dvd/blu-ray box-sets, practising my artistic 'skills'... but more importantly I have more time to just reflect, to think about things which I believe is something that you perhaps don't tend to do as much when you're in a relationship as you're always thinking about that other person to a degree. Of course I still think about her, we still talk in fact just not as frequently as it was a long-distance relationship but things ended mutually so I still have her as a friend which I'm very grateful for. But for now I'm just focusing on 'being' ensuring I do small things to try and improve each day, literally just things which would seem insignificant to most but that mean the world to me. Yet I still wonder... is it ok for me to be happy? It's a relative term because I am actually quite content in just living within my daily routines right now and I realise that much of what I do is to fill a 'void' for something which isn't in my life at this point in time, obviously I don't want to be single forever but right now I think it's good for me to just be myself and not feel indirectly 'guilty' about it. I am me... this is a good thing. : peace:

@Blade with the retail copies you get a download code, with the digital copies it seems that you get a code sent to you on the club Nintendo site after registering it, but because mine is an early retail copy I'm unsure if it will apply to me though I think there is a good chance as I haven't registered it yet. Won't find out until launch day, really want to play that NiGHTS themed dlc stage though.

We could... It all depends on if I can get the DLC for my digital copy, because if I can then I'll gladly sell you my retail copy at retail price - what I paid for it - and it will stay sealed but if I can't get dlc for my review copy then I'll be taking the dlc from the retail copy and then selling it for a couple of pounds less. I'll keep you posted on it, should know by Friday.

Well at least @Blade has the game for when he wants to play through it properly from the start I mean I was quite happy playing through the game until Pokemon X & Y comes out only a week later. :/ I almost wish that they had spaced out the releases a bit more, but never mind... I too will go back to the game as well when I feel like I can devote a decent amount of time to it. : peace:

My retail copy has been shipped to now I've just got to find out on Friday if I get the NiGHTS dlc for my digital review copy, if so then it will be going straight up on eBay... if not then I'll have to open it, get the dlc code and sell it on minus the content. I really want to play that NiGHTS stage!

Save a search on eBay and just keep checking, that's what I did they come up every now and then, cheaper if you're not bothered about the box - I wasn't and got a good deal - but it's an amazing system to use in addition to being collectable, saves so much space that I actually have it on my desk complete with a 32X and it looks like a much neater setup overall. Naturally if you buy one though, Power Rangers probably won't be the first game that you'd want to play on it.

The mega CD version was definitely challenging, can't remember if I even finished it back in the day... who would have thought that pressing buttons in time could actually be challenging? :p Hmm... I could actually play it again... right now, I have my faithful Sega Multi-Mega sitting on my desk, but I don't know... I think this game is one of those things best left in the past.

Yep, I actually own the game! Only ever just the disc unfortunately but I did a quick search on eBay and its actually become rather rare over the years - even just the disc - as there was one copy of it that sold complete and sealed for around £90 so I would imagine that even just the disc is quite valuable. Of course I originally had it as a kid so had no idea but its been sitting inside the case of my copy of Silpheed on the Mega CD in pretty good condition. As you can see from the brief snippet in this video though, the game itself is far from actually being any good, but I still amazingly managed to have fun with it back in the day. : peace:

Time for a progress report... No less than 24:00 hours into the game and I have a team which consists of... Chesnaught Lv 48 Greninja Lv 46 Blaziken Lv 44 Fletchinder Lv 34 Lucario Lv 33 Dedenne Lv 31 I have three gym badges and a Pokedex of 161. Loving... this... game!

It really is worth buying on release, I agree that it does make it seem a bit suspect when a game company ensures that the embargo is as close to the release date as possible, but don't forget that quite a few other high-profile games have done it before and were still good titles. Sega has definitely done well with this one, but I really can't say much more than that other than it's the best Sonic game I have played in a long time.

Delayed until 2014... just thought you'd like to know as it was posted in the Wii U version thread, the delay is for all versions though.

ShopTo are taking pre-orders for the Zelda one... just under £200. It's nice but... wrong time, Novemeber is already expensive enough for me.

I feel for you... If it makes you feel any better I have the game but I'm not playing it again until later as I'm writing up reviews. Enjoy it when the game arrives - hopefully soon - though, visually it's quite a step up from Black & White/2 but it's still just as much fun, if not more to play. : peace:

I can assure you that the game is amazing in every respect and while I can't tell you anything with regards to the score - you will have to wait until Friday morning - you can rest easy on that front. It's the best Sonic game that I've played in a long time and I can't wait for everyone to finally be able to enjoy it! In fact me and @Cube were talking about it for quite a length of time last night - sorry for abruptly leaving last night btw Cube I fell asleep as was tired and got disconnected again - so that should give you another indication of its high quality when you have two long-term Sonic fans chatting away about it through the night.

Hero you are a legend and that's all there is to it. : peace: I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the game anyway, I've only beaten two gyms so far but that's mainly due to me being too tired when playing over the past couple of nights, I probably won't 'catch 'em all' either but I'll try and get as many as I reasonably can. I think that so long as you enjoy a game it doesn't matter how quickly you finish it, though obviously I am curious... how many hours did it take you to reach the end?

You won't regret it the game is amazing, the 3DS XL is a fantastic machine too, with all the games available for it you'll probably never be bored again for a good while. Pokemon X alone will keep you occupied for a long time I would have thought, don't forget to stop by the X & Y thread once you're all set up, as there are loads of us who have the game so feel free to add friend codes as the online aspect is really well integrated this time around. That's the one, Friday 18th October. It does seem odd to have an embargo for the day of release but, thems the rules.

Well personally I wouldn't mind playing the Satellaview games that Nintendo released only in Japan, surely they must have complete versions of the Zelda games they broadcast for them including the remake of the NES original? Or perhaps Mario Excitebike? Probably will never happen though, but if it did.

They must be the only ones, it's one of the many mediocre NES games that has been released for the third(?) time now - possibly fourth if you count the 3D remake - that I really dislike reviewing and would happily never do so again! :p C'mon Nintendo give us some long-forgotten/unreleased gems!

Am I the only person who can't imagine playing this game on an Xbox? It always felt more like a game that belonged on a Playstation console to me. Also what's the point in Square releasing KH3 on Xbox one if they aren't going to release 1.5 and 2.5 on it? Or have these been announced for a later date perhaps... It doesn't bother me as I'll just be buying them on PS3/PS4 but it just strikes me as odd.

I haven't done any surveys in a while... so I guess there is a chance.
