PS4 Killzone It's all I need... ...and all I can afford. :p Still with Resogun free with Plus I'm sure it will be a launch to remember.
-
For the reasons above and more besides, this is why I will only order consoles from ShopTo, because quite simply... they get the job done. : peace:
-
My card was charged by ShopTo this morning! Good timing as well as it should be on my next statement after the one that's due to arrive so hopefully I won't need to actually 'pay' until late December/early January which is a welcome surprise.

For me it's simple... Wii U = Nintendo games plus platform exclusives PS4 = 'Multiformat' games plus platform exclusives It's the only way to be completely catered for this 'generation' if you want to play 'everything'. As for XBone... I will avoid buying it at all costs for now and will only consider it when it's less than £300 with a game and minus kinect 2.0/or if it's 'free' but otherwise I'm steering well clear, plus it has to actually have games that I want on it. Nintendo and Sony both have games in development for their platforms which I want to play, it's that simple. In the meantime, I'll be using my Wii U for Wii Fit inbetween the big releases, plus in the weeks when they actually add previously unreleased - e.g not on Wii/3DS - Virtual Console titles to the Wii U service, or when there's a genuine classic that begs to be revisited. : peace:

Happy Birthday! I will always associate your name with Ursaring because of your awesome avatar.

So people who pre-ordered are now complaining that ShopTo are taking the money for it in advance? I know it's a little early plus the late e-mail thing could be inconvenient for some but still, you'd think that if you pre-order a console or anything for that matter; if you intend on keeping that order then it's reasonable to assume that you have the money to pay for it a week or two in advance/will be able to in a month thanks to credit card.
-
Haha, imagine the chaos that would cause if it were to happen. I do find it funny though that ShopTo nearly always without exception end up sending an e-mail twice to tell you that your game/console has been shipped, they tend to do the same with texts as well. But they seem to deliver most of the time so I suppose the inadvertent spam is excusable.

So nowhere near the quality of the original Panzer Dragoon series then? In the back of my mind, I knew this wouldn't turn out well... actually quite shocking to believe that this is supposed to be partly by some of the staff who were involved in the first Panzer Dragoon titles including the Director plus the Composer so it at least had the potential to be good. Although I remember at the time saying that I really didn't like the new designs of the dragons as they aren't a patch on the ones from Panzer Dragoon... why they felt the need to give the Dragons a set of muscular arms I will never know. Panzer Dragoon Panzer Dragoon Saga Panzer Dragoon Orta Crimson Dragon Surely they should just try and forget Crimson Dragon ever happened and just bring back Panzer Dragoon properly instead? : peace:

Just checked on eBay out of curiosity, people are already buying the pre-order bonus chest for £39.99 on its own... I would have happily paid £4 but not £40.

I'm not really worried as such, just interested to see if anyone here had been charged yet. Ten days to go!
-
So this is the e-mail that ShopTo are sending out to everyone... I only received this e-mail today - four times over no less! - and I don't appear to have actually been charged yet... there hasn't been a problem with my card that I use to pay for my orders on ShopTo so I'm wondering if they have tried to charge it yet or if they just have so many orders to get through, I think it's the latter. Probably just reading too much into the exact wording, I am curious though have anyone else's cards been charged? Also which bundle did you go for? I'm just curious as they might be processing them in batches - standard PS4/Killzone pack/Mega Bundle - after all it's a huge operation so surely they have to make it a bit easier to process so it probably won't all be processed based on pre-order date - in case it's relevant I pre-ordered on June 11th 2013 - but anyway, should be interesting to see how they process it all. : peace:

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt, Raining.

What's more shocking is how low ONM have rated the Final Fight trilogy... Some classic side-scrolling scrappers right there!
-
It begins... So after a bit of deliberation I have finally ordered my brand new shiny fit meter off eBay. I gather that the deal is, I can download it now and start using it with the existing white balance board that we have in the household - will keep my eye out for a black balance board to compliment my Wii U - then when the meter arrives on Tuesday it's just a case of setting it up, linking it somehow annnnd that's it? Going to start downloading now in any case.

Now that one is more like it, I'll probably get that when the included 'free' one inevitably breaks. :p

I'll stick with the free headset, hearing other players online in one ear is more than sufficient, it would just get irritating in stereo. And if it's one of those cheap headsets that tries to provide game audio through them as well then that's even worse, really not worth bothering with if you have a reasonable speaker setup already, still might be a viable option for some and it's always good to have options I suppose. : peace: Thinking about it, I might just use my official bluetooth PS3 headset but we'll see what the launch one is like on the day.

Zelda - 22nd November Mario - 29th November It's going to be a busy end of the year for gaming!
-
Anyone else think that the new title 'Kirby: Triple Deluxe' makes it sound like a Kirby-themed burger?
-
What is the point? I get that these kind of things are done deliberately for PR etc but when it comes down to it... this is still senseless destruction of technology which I will never abide by or even begin to understand. What happened to the days of priding yourself in keeping your games consoles in good condition? Not as in immaculate, unplayed condition but I've always seen it as part of owning a games console that you enjoy playing, treat the machine with a little respect by not damaging it and it will last a very long time providing you with countless hours of joy. : peace: Roll on launch day!

Wii welcome U to the - currently very exclusive :p - club!

I'm actually seriously questioning how much difference there will be between the Xbox 360 and XBone versions of this, the only platform I'll be buying it on is the 360... and I'm not even sure if I want it? I mean obviously I do... but not that much, assuming this is out on XBone day, 22nd November then, I'll be playing Zelda on my 3DS so, meh. :p I'll probably wait. ANNNND I've just remembered this isn't even a launch title. lol But the way they have been hyping it for XBone would make you assume that it is... no?
-
I'm downloading the demo right now ready for when I finish my reviews for the day, has anyone else given it a go yet?
-
I don't think anyone is really a huge 'fan' of Killzone but it seems like most of us are just buying it because it's a shiny shooter with some nice multiplayer features/average campaign that'll tide us over until the 'real' games start coming out. For what it's worth, it'll most likely turn out better than Call of Duty so that's something I suppose... :p I would keep it, because Killzone will surely be an entertaining set-piece plus good for a bit of early multi-player fun.
-
True, hopefully it'll still sell enough to justify its creation, I still might bite later down the line when it's cheaper, with any luck it might pave the way for a superior sequel one day or will just serve as an elaborate learning curve for Cerny and Sony. So it still has a purpose beyond being an average game I suppose which is another way of looking at it.
