Here's a great video review of Mario Smash Football; http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=8656&pl=game&type=wmv Gameplay: 9.2 Design: 8.0 Overall: 8.7 Points to note; - Fast paced gameplay (that has an extemely competitive edge to it!) - Simple effective controls (like all of Mario's sports titles), that won't take long to master - Although controls are simple, there's plenty of room for creativity - It's a little wierd seeing the Mario characters (that you've grown up with) acting SO agressive towards one another! - Electric fence around the edge of the pitch to keep the gameplay moving (no throw-ins) - A player is awarded with an attack item each time they are unfarely taken out (tackled when you don't have the ball) - Can turn off the attack items - Different Cup tournaments (sometimes the difficulty level between them is abit unfair) - Stadiums are a little similar/uninspired - Unlockables - Good single player - Fantastic multiplayer (must buy/made for multiplayer) Here's the Great game intro; http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=8649&pl=game&type=wmv

LOST PLANET: Extreme Condition - Xbox 360
Retro_Link replied to Retro_Link's topic in Other Consoles
Yeah, the mechs are what i like least about this game; I guess the mech against mech fights are necessary, but the on-foot fights against the mechs look much better and more fun! -

Here's a trailer of Capcoms Xbox 360 title; Lost Planet: Extreme Condition; http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=8675&pl=game&type=wmv Capcom has announced it will be developing a new sci-fi action game for the Xbox 360, titled Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Release date; Q4 2006 in Europe. In Lost Planet, humankind survives on a frozen world with the help of protective vital suits, but they live in fear of the native monsters in the planet, the vaguely insectoid eigrids. Players take the role of a mysterious man named Wayne, who was discovered frozen in a vital suit. Wayne suffers from amnesia, and all he remembers are the death of his father and the eigrid that killed him. According to Capcom, Lost Planet will play as a first-person shooter with action elements, although the trailer and screenshots released show gameplay from a primarily third-person view. In a meeting with the press, Inafune commented that Lost Planet is being designed with Xbox Live in mind. He said Capcom will be using its experience from the Monster Hunter series to make Lost Planet's online multiplayer modes solid. The development team working on Lost Planet includes some big names at Capcom. Keiji Inafune, creator of the Onimusha series and Mega Man series, will be working as the game's executive producer, while Jun Takeuchi, producer of Resident Evil 5, will also be producing Lost Planet. The game will be codirected by Kenji Ohguro and Shin Kurosawa. Ohguro has previously worked as a planner for Onimusha and Onimusha 3, while Kurosawa has worked on the Mega Man Battle Network series. Much as it did with the Onimusha series, Capcom is modeling the main character in Lost Planet after a real-life actor. The game will feature Korean star Lee Byung-Hun (Joint Security Area, 3-Iron) to take on the role of Wayne. Like Onimusha series actor Takeshi Kaneshiro (House of Flying Daggers, Fallen Angels), Byung-Hun is a big fan of video games, Resident Evil, and Onimusha specifically, which was part of the reason Capcom gave for offering him the job. Looks a pretty cool game, though at the moment it's not really looking all that next-gen; I'd say Capcom have used some of the Resident Evil 4 engine and the PN03 engine to create this game (it seems a little similar to both of these games IMO); - The way the main character moves (and when in cutscenes) seems exactly like Leon when walking, running etc... and the large boss monsters and scenes are like Resi 4, - The way the enimies are laid out onscreen, their style and how they come out the ground reminds me of PN03. Nice overall though; a number of gameplay styles!

Walking with Monsters. Life before the dinosaurs

Your right about the western world, it is hard to find examples of where natural selection would occur; but there are always those factors such as alcohol or drug abuse that may be passed on through generations as a result of what you see in your childhood and see it as acceptable etc... Natural selection will occur though, however it is doing it nowadays i don't know, but like i said, as environments change over thousands of years, there are likely to be new circumstances and conditions that will lend themselves to certain people; perhaps (for example) even a relatively small population (comparitive to the rest of the world), who will suddenly have an advantage and grow more dominant over more thousands of years. Other factors such as climate change could play a part and a certain area in the world is able to adapt and survive much more easily. However evolution is occuring in todays world, it IS occuring (without us really knowing/being able to determine the factors because of the hundreds of thousands/millions of years it occurs over!)! Yeah alright! I was just trying to think of random examples!!Anyway who knows, in the future there may well be a factor that benefits taller people!! Random example... in the same way i'm sure you feel the effects of traffic exhaust more if you are lower to the ground. That, over hundreds of thousands of years would make a difference!! (yes i realise the traffic situation wouldn't be the same in the future, i'm just given an example in todays world!) -
There is also a third film, which they are filming alongside the second one!!

I can't see how anyone can NOT agree! Evolution occurs largely through natural selection; survival of the fittest. In the case of humans; those (depending on the situation) that are the strongest or healthiest or who have adapted best to their environments, will live longer/live long enough to have kids and pass their strong attribute on. e.g. a smoker may die early and not have kids, or they may not be able to have kids because of smoking, where as an athlete as a general example may be extremely heathly and have a number of kids, who will then (in this case) inherit the athletes strong physical attributes. Another example; Intelligent business men for are going to have a better quality of life than a poor 'stupid' person, and the business mans intelligence etc... in many cases will be apparent in his children because of the advantageous more previlaged world they live in. They will pass on better survival qualities. Human attributes (combined with our ever changing environment) that over hundreds of thousands of years, prove advantageous; will determine how humans look in the future; In todays world it could be the one of the most insignificant things we possess; but something that over a VERY VERY long time will prove important. Who knows what we will evolve into; We could have longer more powerful legs, very large brains, we could be 2 foot taller, have more flipper like feet for more speed in the water; We just don't know!! -

I can't believe some people thought we weren't still evolving and had stopped!! I mean Seriously!! (There should be a DUH!! smilie!) What are you expecting? Someone to get a pair of wings or fins over 10 years or something!! Evolution takes place SOOO slowly and gradually, over hundreds of thousands/millions of years! -
Yeah I can't wait to see both these films, they look FANTASTIC! When the Kong remake was first announced I thought it might be a big mistake; I thought, how is he going to make Kong look realistic because a giant puppet wouldn't really be attempted nowadays (and would look rubbish) and I thought making a realistic HUGE CGI gorilla would be an awesome challenge! Peter Jackson has far exceded my expectations though, and I'm SO glad for this remake now; it looks so amazing, it means you'll never have to watch the original again! I wondered about that; it's wierd though because 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe' is the 2nd book out of the 7; so I wonder when and if they'll think of making the first book?!Some of later books are fantastic though, so some more films would be great!!

Not any more!!!!

If you've finished ALL of them in 5 days, the Xbox must have some very short games though huh!

The DS does FANTASTIC at £99, which would probably be the price of the Rev if it's $99,Maybe Nintendo are looking at the Rev as being a home console equivalent of the DS, but ALOT more advanced!

Yeah, I'm sure someone I was speaking to in GAME (when I got my Core pack), said he had 30 PSP's for selling at Christmas!!
