Really?... though I always feel oblivion is over when you enter the tunnel, that's when I get that sense it's finished, plus the rails start to curve out at that point to bring you back to the start. There's a great theme park in North Carolina I've been to called Carowinds, though don't think all these were there when I went years back, but there are some great ones! http://www.carowinds.com/attractions/category.cfm?ac_id=1

Yeah when I went on it and saw it was either sit or stand, I thought ahh just go for it... stand up baby!!... but that tilt at the top was a bitch!! Do you find Oblivion as bad as Drop Towers?... as it's essentially a very short face forward skydive!

I really like Rita, but other than the AWESOME start it's over WAY too quick.Air certainly isn't the most exhilerating ride, but it's always a lot of fun. And yeah, the last time I went on Corkscrew it seriously smashes your head around, was really uncomfortable and just no fun; and havn't bothered again since. It's wierd because I'm sure it used to be good?! Shockwave at Drayton Manor is another class ride!

Have the writters officially said it's due to a lack of empathy? If so that's bollocks! Empathy is all about understanding and being compationate right? there's no way Peter would struggle with that more than Sylar!

Yeah... lame writting!

Alton Towers: Nemesis > Air > Rita > Oblivion > [Corkscrew]. I miss the Black Hole [or 'The Beast but in the dark with smoke and mirrors']! The building's still there isn't it and has been for ages, it's about time something new went there! Anyone know what's planned for this year?

OK so saw Eps 1&2 of Fugitives last night:

I really hope 'The Chain' doesn't return! but it seems inevitable! haha, yeah! Only a few more weeks of testing before the new season starts, so if they don't get on with it it'll be pointless anyway as they'll have tested next to nothing of the '09 regs! Branson has said the sport needs to change before he thinks about entering; interms of costs, using green fuels etc... so don't think he's a vaible '09 option for Honda, as all the long term F1 plans are still being set out by the FIA and FOTA.

Was only joking bout on-rails; Given the Dead Space reaction and the Wind Wakers reaction, Cel-Shaded On-Rails Resi may cause the universe to implode! Wonder if they'd ever consider going back to pre-rendered or fixed camera? Though it's prob best to leave that to just Resi 2 & 3 REmakes.
-
How about cel-shaded and on rails! But seriously I hope Resi 6 is developed for the Wii, it's Nintendo's turn again after missing out on Resi 5 and after Resi 4 did so well on GC/Wii. And the motion[plus?] controls would fit a redesign.

Capcom have Resi 6 down as being another series re-design...

Healthy food receipes for gaining weight?
Retro_Link replied to The Lillster's topic in General Chit Chat
Eggs, chicken, pasta etc... all pretty easy to cook really. Banana's, Avacado's etc... all good. You could just do a 3/4 egg omlette with cheese and ham or something. Think the best thing to do is just eat an extra meal [or two] during the day. And if you can, have your extra meal quite late at night, because your metabolism slows down while you sleep so you'll put on more weight that way. Just snack on healthy things throughout the day aswell, such as banana's, nuts etc... And if you go to the pub drink guiness! -

OK, so I got this one to work... Had a go at Shorty's and yeah it seems a combination of both approaches start to get the effect. Setting the photo layer to black and white, and layer type multiple. Creating a colour layer the same as the background over the top, and setting layer type to colour. Then playing around with the curves and it's kinda getting there [not the same colour scheme mind]... Yeah think it's because it's a dark image aswell, will have to try lightening it somehow. Anyways, I'm getting there!... THANKS GUYS!!
-
Ah OK cheers, haven't had to use curves before! You see in this image how there are still some colour variation within the green, so it gives it a slightly more 3D effect [as opposed to more of a stamp effect], is there a way of doing this?...
-
You legend! Thanks so much, I owe you man! I just couldn't get the right combination of steps to create it; though I did manage quite a cool blueprint style one!... EDIT: OK I still can't do this! Once you've desaturated the image, you can't change it's colour away from it being within the grayscale confines. This is as far as I've got... Desaturated, Curves, Copy and Paste on, Multiple... ... but even so, it's not as if the image is just in black and white, it's in grayscale.
-
I'm not sure that does it, but maybe I'm doing something wrong!... So say this photo... and this background... and I want to create an effect like...
-
OK I think I explained it wrong, because I now see what you mean but it's not what I meant. It's not my graphic, I'm trying to achieve it. You see the photo in the top right of the above graphic. They have altered its colouring so it is almost two tone; the dark areas of the photo have gone dark greenish and they have somehow made the light colours transparent [or whatever they have done], so that they are the same as the colour of the overall background. I'm basically trying to create the effect that they have with their photo's and images!
-
OK I can't seem to do it, does someone mind taking me as a novice and walking me through the process? alternatively are there online guides for this sort of thing?
-
How do you go about recolouring your photo's/images so that you can directly blend them with your background colour, as shown in this graphic?... Do you basically change the image to black & white, then manually recolour the black and white occordingly, or is there a better way? Some sort of colour screen or something?
