Yep I'll watch The Fountain... looking forward to it! Also couldn't watch Primer after the comments. Will also watch Tron... sometime soon... depends when/if it comes to Film Club!

Thanks for the help guys, but I got away with using mergepdf. I did have to save all the photoshop pages on the very lowest quality to get the combined file size under 10mb, but they still look good enough! Thanks!!

It's rediculous! Oh and hats off to Rosberg for dragging that car to 6th!

N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010

Just think Molly, next year, not only will you have to contend with a bunch of camera's, but a handful of 3DS' all ready to take your picture in gloreous 3...D...! You have 1 year in which to perfect your skills... -
You should be able to see Venus every night, it's always visible to us. Other than the moon it's the brightest object in the sky, so it will be one of the earliest things to appear every night. And it has a slight yellowish colour to it compared to all the stars.

I absolutely LOVE the topic of space, have done since I was little! I remember going to the Kennedy Space Centre when I must have been around 8 years old and bringing back a model kit of the Saturn V Rocket, which I built and took in to 'show and tell' (or whatever it was) at primary school. The scale of the rocket just blew me away! I've always wanted to see a Space Shuttle Launch and I'm pretty gutted that they are ending the programme soon. There was going to be one 2 weeks or so after I left the US a few weeks ago, which was pretty frustrating. I'm quite tempted to try and make it to the last one in Febuary 2011... but if they are going to start it up again in a few years time, then it's not so special!... Dilemma! I've always remembered my facts about the planets/moon in our solar system and love learning more about them, and for that reason really enjoy watching programmes such as the recent 'Wonders of the Solar System' and will occasionally watch The Sky at Night, and find out about/try and observe meteor showers. Also always wanted to get a telescope and hope to eventually look into it and get around to buying one sometime!

haha Similarly, Thunder Mountain had been closed/broken down on the 2/3 occasions I'd been to Florida before (and Space Mountain the time before)... so I finally achieved my childhood dream of going on it this time! Damn Disney and it's breaking down!... Space Mountain actually closed this time aswell, but they fired her up again! and yeah, RockIt isn't going to necessarily win any awards for anything, but it was just unique and a different experience to your conventional rollercoaster, so it really stood out for me.

Urgh, why so brown and grey! Not one for me this one.

I don't think I was ever really expecting it this year... I rarely expect game revealed for the first time at E3 to make it within the same year. I just presumed this and Donkey Kong would be Early 2011.

It was all the damn UMA he called upon throughout the battle... that pissed me off!

Does seem a little strange, I've just watched a video of No.2 Apollo's Chariot, and after the initial HUGE drop () and the second, there's nothing more to that ride! For nice elements, theming, thrills and all round fun, Manta is a contender for that list IMO, but then I don't make up the rules!
-
King Duvroc was an exception for me... because I personally found there to be next to NO strategy for him!... I basically kept firing everyone I had at him until he was toppled! You might find the next King, King Shishkebaboo frustrating aswell (unless you've already done him, as those two Kingdoms can be done at once)... but after that the game get's ALOT better in terms of the boss 'fights' IMO!

You can't exactly group Paris Hilton and Lady Gaga in the same category! People could be fascinated by LG due to her music, her fashion, stage productions/costume etc... Paris Hilton has none of these, unless you're fascinated by the fascinatingly bad!
-
Oh wtf! I thought there might be a chance I'd been on 1 of the 'Top 20'!! Ah well, that just means there's more epic rides out there to go on! EDIT: Considering that's the no.1 steel coaster on the list it doesn't seem much of a step up from others I've been on like Kraken... what makes it to be considered so much higher?
-
Have to admit to liking XXXO! [M...I...M...I...M...I...A] But I heard some comments from her about Lady Gaga which I thought were plain stupid, and didn't do anything to make me like her.

I enjoyed and had that same magical feeling at Universal Studios (original) this time, as I always have and had at Disney in the past. I still get a magical feeling at the Magic Kingdom, but I'm also totally aware that really I'm too old for this now!... though I suppose I do have a few years on you Paj. When I've been in the past there were always so many characters walking round the streets and attraction the whole time, and I filled my Autograph book TO THE MAX as a kid at all the parks! I don't know if it's a reflection of the times, but I barely saw any characters whatsoever on this trip! And those I did see or hear about were scheduled time appearances you had to que and wait for.

^ Yeah, didn't end up going to the Animal Kingdom, that ride was the only one that interested me there, and another day split between Universal and SeaWorld was the better option! --- Being pretty Roller Coaster hardened... I know people may look for different things, but is there a definative list out there of the top 20 Coasters in the world or something?!... I'd just be interested in knowing where all the others are and maybe give them a go over the next however many years!

... Is that meant to be a Mrs K. Rool aswell?

If it's your first time at Disney, and you have 2 weeks in Florida as Rez does, then by all means take your time around the parks. I'm just saying that when I went just a few weeks ago, it massively struck me that Disney (specifically the Magic Kingdom) just isn't for me anymore, I'm WAY past all that. The only ride for me there was Space Mountain, which I really enjoyed... and then possibly the most EPIC firework display I have ever seen celebrating the 4th of July... man did they put on a show for that!! I've seen parades and firework displays there in the past, but this was on a whole new level! Anyway... yeah, since Magic Kingdom offered so little, we took the monorail to Epcot and the Bus to MGM the same day and really, I went on everything and saw all the shows that I wanted to! But then I've been a couple of times before so! And yes, Animal Kingdom definately deserves some time!... though distance it from Busch Gardens.

Clever stuff, Like it!! Gorgeous!

IMO, Manta > Kraken. Kraken is great... it's FAST... it's loud/windy!... it's a bit like Shockwave EXTREME... it's a good ride, but for me it's too similar to stuff I've been on before. Sit at the front on Hulk, and you will love it! Trust me! I'd say it's far from a confined ride Paj... it goes out over the water, underground etc... feels far more free than Nemesis for example. @ Paj... Also were you dissapointed to find out the Jurassic Park Flyers were only for kids?! It's tempting to swipe one to get on!
-
That looks AWESOME!!

This! As I said in the rollercoaster thread, if you set off early and get back late, at our age you can literally get round Magic Kingdom/Epcot/MGM Hollywood Studios in one day! I was personally a little dissapointed with Busch Gardens, I'd rate both Universal Parks higher. But then it was the last park I went to and literally by the end of the holiday, 'coasters were getting tame.

Following on from what's been said... - Food in the parks is very expensive, compared to take aways and restaurants outside of the parks. TGI Fridays are EVERYWHERE and awesome as usual. - Bottled water inside the parks again is expensive, but you'll need it! So buy a large multipack of water from a supermarket and take them into the park with you. For example... 1 bottle of water in the parks is $2.50... you can buy a multipack of 9/12 at a supermarket for like $3!! Also Kennedy Space Centre (complete with coach trips featuring Crocodiles & Armadillos!!) FTW!! And Space IceCream is Amazing!!
