Lolling at the friction between Khilafah and Maddog.

It looks like every other futuristic action film. Do not want.

The art style looks a bit too much like a He-Man style cartoon. It seems quite out-dated and I don't think it would really fit in the with series today. The WiiU Zelda demo looked great at the time because it was about seeing what Zelda could look like with HD graphics. It would be nice to see what Nintendo could do with that technology and see how "gritty" they could make it. Will they do that? Not really sure.

I'm going to be annoyed if the Pro Evo games for the WiiU don't have a similar sort of control scheme. Maybe with the touchscreen, dragging players that way. This is the way football should be played. Those who just play FIFA and PES on the HD machines really have no clue just how far ahead this series is on Wii. Presentation and graphical wise it is decent, but the gameplay is on a completely different level.

Utterly delighted with my victory. I set my tactics about two days before the game because I was going away and wouldn't have the chance to do it the night before. I expected to get trounced and thought I'd be going on a little losing run after losing against Haden last week. Checked the result in the Apple Store in Cardiff. So happy! 3-0 against the league leaders...fuck yes. I'm going to get destroyed in the return game. I predict a 5-0 scoreline. :p

As much as I'd like to say that you're wrong, I can't. You're absolutely right. I can't help but blame the fans who have gone out and bought these games, even if they know it's not a patch on the past Sonics. I find it sad really. The megadrive games were immense. Then, it just seemed to suddenly start going wrong.

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

Not surprised. I've been listening to Studio Brussel a lot over the last few months and listened to it when I was in Belgium. The quality of music you get is so much better than the average radio station here. Far, far better than the disgrace that is Radio One. We produce good music in this country, but we still have a lot to learn, it seems. Our chart music is mostly terrible. -
New Home Alone Movie Coming to ABC Family

Wait, this is actually real? I spent the week thinking it was an April Fool's Joke. It is sad that they continued making films after the second one. First one in particular is a classic. I remember feeling meh when I heard it would be a new cast for the third film. -
That would be the best thing to do. Make it into something new. But, we know SEGA, and they're still living off that Sonic name. Anyway, needless to say I'm not going anywhere near it. I had a look at Skylanders and didn't like the concept or the game itself. Collecting Sonic figurines has the potential to be great, but it should be a separate thing. Not an integral part of a game.

Ine showed me Somebody That I Used To Know aaaages ago. It is a bit surreal how it's taken off here now. Kimbra has a great voice. -
Aliens: Colonial Marines - Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen
Fierce_LiNk replied to gaggle64's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It will do in the actual game. In a video, you don't get the actual claustrophobic nature of games or films. But, on a big screen in your living room, in the right conditions, I think they will seem menacing. Infestation made the Aliens seem that way, too. There's one particular section that blew me away: -
Here's to the bards that live cretinous lifestyles

Happy Birthday, Saad. HADOUUUUUKEEEEEN -
I can understand why Sega are doing this, as they're trying to create a new market for Sonic fans. For the younger fans, it will probably go down well. But, this sounds like another shit idea that SEGA have had, and another one that is linked to the Sonic franchise. It's a shame because Colours looks really awesome and is going to be one of my purchases at some point. I finally thought that SEGA were getting their act together and were discovering how to make a great Sonic game again.

I'm surprised that there weren't more ape fights, but I'm glad that it turned out the way it did. The original film in particular was hardly about the action, it was a voyage of discovery for Taylor. You grow more beautiful to me everyday. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm still on a high after seeing this. It's great to have a new film in a series or as part of a reboot that isn't just "okay".

Looks amazing. Can't believe how well they have appeared to nail the atmosphere from the film/s. -
Happy Birthday, EEVIL. Get your ass to Mars- Get your ass to Mars- Get your ass to Mars- Get your ass to Mars- Get your ass to Mars

Finally saw Rise of The Planet of the Apes last night. It was amazing. This is how you can make a new film/reboot that contains several nods to the originals whilst still containing new things and ideas, whilst not shitting on the original. It was brilliant.

Lost my unbeaten streak at last. Disappointed, but it was going to happen eventually. I'm satisfied with how we've been doing so far. The team has shown that it can compete, and next year will be the push for the middle league. If we get promoted this year, it would be brilliant, but it's our last year in aiming for DV. The team are almost blooded. I've not bought anyone in this transfer market and hopefully won't have to in the next one.

It's not really an issue for me. Don't think it ever has been really. I grew up in a house with two other brothers, and we'd play Goldeneye together. Sometimes one of us would be playing Super Mario AllStars on the SNES and another would play Streets of Rage on the Megadrive, and we'd take it in turns to play each thing. We had quite a big family, and before we had our own Megadrive, my Uncle would bring his around. My Dad also gave me his older consoles, his Commodore64 being one of them. Right now, I'm playing through about four games: Aliens: Infestation on Ine's DS lite Pokemon Yellow (fuck yeah) on Ine's GB Colour Pro Evo 11 on my Wii Sin and Punishment 2 on my Wii. Ine's playing through quite a few games too, one of them is Epic Yarn which she plays on my Wii. She's brought her Wii from Belgium as well, but only mine is set up. So, it works out pretty easily. Whenever she uses the Wii, I play one of the handheld games, vice versa. It was pretty much the same whenever I went online with Monster Hunter Tri, too. I'll be playing Kid Icarus after she's done with it, and will probably do the same with Epic Yarn, but I have to finish my current games before I start those ones. GAMES.

I've finally given in and picked this up today from GAME (the only one that remains around here, as far as I know). In terms of gameplay, this is the best football game I've ever played. It's unreal how you can control your players off the ball in such a way. I'm a massive fan of Fifa08 on the Wii, but there are some things you can do in this game that just aren't possible in any football series on any platform. Being able to surge into the box and then select a striker to hold back/make a run away from goal, slipping him the ball and seeing them tuck it away...fantastic. It definitely has a learning curve. At first, it seems very alien, as it's a completely new way of playing for me. But, if you stick with it, it is so worthwhile. Never playing a game of footie with a traditional controller ever again now.

Both teams are exactly where they deserve to be, based on how they've played football and performed in the league. Putting aside Kenny Dalglish's history with the club, Liverpool haven't played good football this season, the new players haven't come in and performed well, and the tactics haven't been right. In contrast, Newcastle have spent well and bought in two fantastic goalscorers in Ba and Cisse, whilst Cabaye has quietly got on with his work whilst receiving next to no praise. Cabaye and Tiote have run that midfield this season, which allows the likes of Ben Arfa (also been immense), Ba and Cisse to get on with it. They've been a laughing stock for some time, but they've bounced back after relegation and are playing good football. On the other hand, Liverpool are spending big sums of money and are not getting into the top 4. Again.
-
I've been thinking of this for a long while. It's entirely possible that Villa won't win any of their remaining games. They're not easy. They've not played good football this season and Mcleish is not the right man for them. They don't play good football under him. Also, thanks Sunderland. A shame they couldn't hold on for the win, but a draw is still a great result for them.

6 quid is a steal. You'll regret it if you don't pick it up. The music is one of the best things about this game. It's just so, so good. I'd happily pay the 6 quid for the music alone. I can't imagine playing a game of this type without Wii controls. Dual analogue/N64 control wouldn't even come anywhere near as useful.

Old thread is old. I've started playing this. It's such a good game. Very fun, and also quite hard at the same time. I've died a few times already. I do feel as if I'm missing out on the story somewhat after never playing the first game.
