  1. Subject: Increase in Form Jordi Gomez has recently decided to buy a fireplace for his house. On a recent trip to Ikea, he has spotted John Terry out with his former girlfriend. Jordi confronts the pair and leaves with his head held high and a new found lease of life. Jordi's form dramatically increases.
  2. Should we really be this cynical about a new home console Mario game? It's quite disrespectful to the Galaxy games...they were brilliant games. New Super Mario Bros. Wii wasn't a classic, but it was still very fun. I'm looking forward to it at least. It doesn't mean we're not getting anything else. It doesn't mean Nintendo will be focusing all of their efforts on this and leaving their other big titles out to dry. We have to just wait and see.
  3. I love the way that Wigan play 3-4-3. It somehow makes them tighter at the back, despite it being an attacking formation. It's nice to see teams using "unconventional" formations in this league. I seem to recall Liverpool giving 3-5-2 a try. Tonight, Wigan used 3-4-3 Through Plays Defend the Centre.
  4. I didn't even know that the Wigan and Arsenal game was tonight. Completely shocked at the score-line. Wigan deserve credit. It's a shame that they are fighting to survive every season. But, they are entertaining and I will be disappointed if they get relegated under Martinez.
  5. We need to do something on Tuesday for the Lower League. Like Sky do Super Sunday. On Tuesday, all four of the top four are playing each other.
  6. Yeah, that's also true. He's much, much bigger than Lance Henrikson, so James Cameron wasn't sure how that was going to work. There's also stories about how James initially wanted Arnie off the project and would think of ways to get Arnie fired from it.
  7. Yes. It's almost gone unnoticed, which is a shame. I did like the quality of the music in Skyward Sword, but the music itself isn't very memorable. I do like Skyloft's theme, it's very fitting. Parts of the Sky music are nice, too. But, it doesn't feel quite right below the Sky. There are some great ideas in the game that could have been better. One of the biggest ones (which I don't really see mentioned anywhere) is the Harp playing sections of the game. It's disappointing how those sections of the game played out. I don't think the Ocarina has been topped, and admittedly I have no idea how they would have incorporated the harp like the Ocarina, but it should've been better.
  8. Leg workouts are for the devil. Wipes me out afterwards in a way no other exercise does. It's intense. Almost sexual.
  9. I am excluded off that list a million times over, thanks to my love for the Little King. And his Story.
  10. I'm kinda with Dazzy on this one. Ish. Once Chelsea scored two, then Spurs had to press harder to get back into it. That meant sacrificing the midfield battle and putting another striker on (Defoe). They were weaker in midfield as a result. Whether or not this would have happened had the score only been 1-0 is complete guesswork. But, Chelsea scoring second certainly did them no favours. If the ref doesn't give the goal and Spurs then get back into it, who is to say that Harry would have changed the team or not.
  11. Actually, not sure if you know or not, but Robert Patrick's Terminator was what Cameron initially wanted in the original at one stage. The shape-shifting type. The only problem and drawback was the special effects available at the time and the budget. He kept the idea for Terminator 2 and the rest is history.
  12. Diet's a killer. It's the make or break part, in my opinion. And, it's just as demanding as the actual workout, in a different kind of way. Moreso on the wallet. Trying to buy fruit and veg, chicken and stuff, not easy. It might be worth investing in some protein shakes as they can be decent value for money.
  13. Hmm, I don't really know which side deserved it more. Spurs disappointed me a little, but they created some chances. Chelsea (or rather, Drogba) created chances too and he was dangerous throughout. 5-1 is a very harsh scoreline. A narrow Chelsea victory, exposing Spurs' midfield and defence would probably have been the right result.
  14. Yeah, that's true. I think there was even a mock up shot or something of Lance as the Terminator before they gave it to Arnie. Lance would've done a good job, but it wouldn't be the Terminator we know now. He's not as physically imposing or as strong as Arnie. As an infiltrator, Lance's Terminator probably would've been better as he blends in more.
  15. I don't see much of an issue of that, considering that the main quest is very large and substantial. Ever since Majora's Mask, there has been this big urge for sidequests, which is nice. But, I'm not totally convinced that every Zelda since then needs to have a million things to do outside of the main quest. Skyward Sword does have a lot of things to do, but I would also argue that it's main focus, which is the main story is not as good or exciting as TP's. I know it's a joke, but meh. TP's music is under-rated. Hyrule Field's night music, Midna's Desperate Hour, Lake Hylia's music and quite a few others are much better than anything in Skyward Sword. Even Hyrule Field's day music tops SS's soundtrack. Skyward Sword has an amazing control scheme and a great central town. It's nice doing jobs around Skyloft. The Sky itself is just as barren as Wind Waker's waterworld and I'm a bit disappointed in some of the ground areas. They look lovely, such as Floria, but you don't have a huge opportunity to do an awful lot there. They are houses for dungeons. That's what it felt like to me. The areas existed to house dungeons and not a whole lot else. I love the game and it's obviously a good game. I prefer it to Wind Waker but it doesn't hold the same place in my heart that TP did.
  16. You have to speculate to accumulate in football. It's impossible to compete in the League, domestic cups and Europe unless you make significant investments to the squad. You can go far, but to make the leap you have to spend a decent amount of money. Unless the youth system is seriously good. Even then, teams like Barca still spend massive amounts of money.
  17. It all depends on whether Bale was onside or not. It doesn't matter now as the game is over and I guess yellow probably is the right punishment. Exactly. You haven't added any significant players to the squad since then, so why would the team perform that much better. It makes sense as to why they haven't. Harry needed to buy more strikers and more defenders.
  18. I know the England talk must be unsettling, but it looks like Spurs have bottled it when it's gone down to the wire. They are not as experienced as the other top 4 teams in finishing in that position towards the end of the season and certain players have been underperforming. Over the course of a season, players get tired and go off the boil. This is when the rest of the squad need to measure up, and this is where Spurs fall flat.
  19. But both situations are not equal at all. A penalty and a red card is far better than scoring a goal. (completely different argument, I know) Besides, if Bale was offside like I think he was, then it should've been no goal and it should've been a penalty and a red. It completely changes the game. Even giving a yellow card to the keeper changes a game because they could pick up another yellow later on. I don't think it changes the outcome, as I did think Chelsea were stronger throughout. Drogba caused the defence massive problems and I thought Spurs defended really poorly.
  20. No matter what anyone says, the second goal being given did change the game. It meant Spurs had to go for a more attacking 4-4-2, which is why they were carved open towards the end. He says that, yet he is clearly seen telling Van der Vaart to "leave it alone" when he's talking to the Ref right after the goal is being given.
  21. Mikel kicked out. That definitely should've been red. Malouda makes it 5 for Chelsea now. Thinking about Chelsea's attacking players, I think that'll be the difference when they play Liverpool. Drogba, Mata, Malouda, Sturridge and Lampard. That's a lot for Liverpool to deal with. Over one game, my money's on Chelsea.
  22. Preventing one for who? The player or the team? Ade was definitely prevented. Pretty sure Bale was offside anyway... Ah, fair enough. Seems a bit...shitty, though. Anyway, game appears to be over now. Part of me wonders whether or not Spurs would sell Modric if Chelsea offered them another £40 million. Seemed very ordinary today and I've heard that he hasn't contributed to a goal or assist for 3 months now.
  23. I can understand why the advantage was played, but Cech deserves some form of punishment. Not even giving him a yellow just seems like a bad call to me. Ramires for Chelsea. 3-1.
  24. He did to Adebayor who was the player clean through. He prevented Adebayor from scoring by illegally bringing him down. I don't really see how that isn't even a yellow for Cech.
  25. Shouldn't Cech have gone there? How is that any different to when a player commits a foul but the ref plays advantage and then goes back to give a player a yellow card?
