  1. As much as I hate Liverpool, the game against Milan was brilliant. Although, I think this match is equal with it. For the reason that the Final against Milan was at a neutral venue, and Liverpool had all of their players on the field. Barcelona had the men advantage, the crowd and they had all of the ball. The Final of 1999 against Bayern Munich will always be in my heart, though. I was in absolute tears until those two goals went in. Still get goosebumps watching that.
  2. Have you learned nothing over these two games? Chelsea probably only had about 3 chances over 2 legs and scored 3 goals. Perfect counter-attacking play on all of the goals. When defending is your only option, you have to do it properly, and they did one hell of a job. I thought they defended much better when down to 10 men than they had done with 11. You can have all of the ball, but unless you create chances and finish them off, it means nothing.
  3. I got it wrong today. I knew it was going to be a tough game, but I got my tactics and team selection wrong. Pissed off that my midfield with a decent teamwork value only created 1 chance. Didn't think that guessing the formation would reduce it by so much. Onto the next game. Disappointed, but you can't win all the time. I'm at the point where I want promotion, but won't be heartbroken if we don't get it. We've come a long way and I'm certain we'll do even better next year.
  4. No way. They'll want a double now.
  5. I saw the post and agreed with it, but I forgot to reply after seeing Wii's post that followed. It was either brilliant trolling or...something totally else.
  6. I couldn't help but laugh at that. Anyway, wow. What a game. It had everything. When Terry went off and Barca went two-nil up, that should've been it. But, huuuge credit to Chelsea for coming back into it...two goals at the Nou Camp is no easy feat, especially when down to 10-men. Barca looked pretty clueless I thought. Very one dimensional, passing it into the net. Nobody wanted to try their luck from range or take a gamble. They played almost too safely. Should've punished Chelsea at 2-0 up. Well done, Chelsea. Although, looking at the players out of the final, it's going to be such hard work.
  7. I'm not so sure that the midfield is sorted. The wings don't look balanced to me. When Saha first came, he did link up with Ade. The problem is that there needs to be more competition for places and Ade is still only a loan signing.
  8. In before two cup finals.
  9. I wouldn't put Cech in there, but I feel that Mata should be added. Aside from walker, the defence is pretty much what it should be. Can't really argue with any of those inclusions. Van Persie and Rooney as strikers seems fine to me, too. Although, the likes of Aguero and Ba could have been in there, too. As could Cisse had he been here from the start. There should be a worst team of the season.
  10. Lol yeah, we did. It's as we said it would happen. Great first team when they're all fit, but they're not quite there yet in terms of the whole squad. I still don't think Harry did enough in the summer to bring in attacking players to the club. They need another striker and maybe even another winger as I'm not convinced on Lennon. Possibly another defender, too. What about the long term goalkeeping position, as well? With their current squad, I could really see Spurs struggling in Europe and in the League next season.
  11. This is the part I love about your argument. As if there's a definition of what is a proper game anyway.
  12. Have to agree with MadDog on this one about Parker. He's been good this season, for part of it. But, good enough to be in the team of the year? I don't think so. It's somewhat insulting to players like Cabaye and Tiote who have both been utterly outstanding for Newcastle. What about Clint Dempsey? His scoring rate for a midfielder is incredible. What about Arteta who has kept that Arsenal midfield ticking? What about Carrick and Paul Scholes, who are two of the biggest reasons why we are still in the title race, when we probably don't deserve to be. I wouldn't even have Bale in my team of the year. Valencia should get in, or even Nani. What about Mata? There's even a case for Walcott, even though I don't particularly like him. As for Kyle Walker: I don't agree with that either. As good as he's been, what about Aguero? As much as I loathe City, he has been something else this season. I mentioned these points to my Spurs supporting mate in school, and he agreed with me particularly on the Walker one.
  13. Oh, come on. If you win all of your games, the highest you can finish will be fifth, provided Chelsea and Spurs don't get any more points, which isn't going to happen. So, 7th or below is where you'll most likely be. There's a chance you'll finish in the bottom half of the league. Two finals is good, but all it does is mask a very poor league season. When a team spends as much money as Liverpool has, they need to be challenging for a top four place and Liverpool are nowhere near that. Nearly 40 points off first place...how is that acceptable for a club of Liverpool's stature. It isn't. It shouldn't be. Downing, Henderson and Carroll all should be, considering they have more experience in this league than Poulsen. It doesn't bother me anyway. I'd rather see Everton finish higher.
  14. The two coincided. So, Roy was managing a club with no money, Kenny is given a huge transfer budget and the club are at around the same level. You can't see a problem with this? The point is that Roy had it much harder than Kenny has. He didn't have stability in those running the club. He had a team which underperformed in Rafa's last season, he had no money and no time. Not only that, but the players performed poorly under him. Kenny comes in, and I don't think a whole lot has changed, not in terms of performances and results. Kenny has also been given the funds and the time to mould his own team, which Roy never had the opportunity for. Liverpool fans are being far too kind to the man. Poulsen cost what, 4.5 million. Henderson and Downing cost 3 or 4 times that. Carroll, enough said. These are all players who have performed poorly and cost way, way more than Poulsen did. So, what is the reason why these players are not scoring? This is down to form, confidence, faith in your team, faith in your manager, tactics, etc. Something is very wrong at the club and the manager has to take the blame for at least his part. As Roy did.
  15. What I'm saying is that Roy was absolutely crucified for his signings. So much was made of the Poulsen deal. It was so obvious that he was making the most of a bad situation. Yet, when the money suddenly becomes available, Liverpool fans don't give a shit and Kenny is allowed to blow as much of it as he wants. Roy's most expensive signing: Nearly 11 million on Miereles.
  16. Pretty sure the GameCube version of the game starts off in the same way?
  17. Not to mention that money suddenly becomes available when Kenny is at the club...
  18. I don't even remember which buttons are which on the SNES controller. I don't know which button I use to run, or jump. I just do it.
  19. No words to describe that. It was everything. For the neutral, it has to be up there with the best games of the season. First of all, I'm happy that Fergie dropped Young. I thought he would do, and he made the right call. It worked in another way as well, because Nani was excellent in attack today. We were terrible up until Everton scored and deserved to go behind. After that, I thought we were the better team in the game. But, Everton just kept coming back. Nobody wanted to defend today and I thought both defences played terribly. Ours in particular. Rafael was responsible for the majority of the goals but collectively the defence were just poor. It's terrible considering that we performed pretty well in attack. Thought Nani, Rooney and Welbeck linked up superbly and the play for the fourth United goal was top class. But, Everton hung in there and they got their goals. Can't really begrudge them a point, but we have picked a terrible time to start dropping points. Got to give credit to Moyes. He has created a fantastic Everton team and has picked up another great signing in Jelavic. If he was given the same amount of money that Liverpool have been blowing on their team, then they would be going for the title. No doubt about that. Have huge respect for him.
  20. It will be a Kirby decorated special edition Nintendo Wii Points Card. For you to download the games on the VC.
  21. NO! She English was pretty good!
  22. Amazed at how good this looks. Looks fun, with a good pace to it whilst not seeming "cheap" either. There's no crazy weapons on the ground, etc. It's a tennis game with a twist, which is what it needs to be. Will be getting this for certain.
  23. Pretty pissed that even Kirby gets something special for its Anniversary, yet Metroid got nothing. If Nintendo gave us a full 3D remake of Metroid II, all would be forgiven.
  24. This was always to be expected considering the wide appeal and retail success of the DS and Wii versions. (hope I haven't made that up) I've only played a tiny bit of 3DLand myself, but I enjoyed it. I enjoyed NSMB/Wii, too, although not in the same way I enjoyed Super Mario Bros. 3 all those years back. What would be a great idea is if Nintendo did a three tier system, where they had a 3D title or franchise (like Galaxy, freedom of movement and all that), a 2D title for commercial success (like NSMB), and then something else which is more innovative and fun for the traditional fans. You could argue that the latter is what the 3D titles are, but at least this way it allows the game to be either 2D/2.5D/3D/whatever.
  25. Just watched Biutiful, which I've been waiting to see for quite a while. Definitely got a mixed response from the people in the room watching it with me. But, I loved it.
