Xpert 11 Season 27: We few, we happy few, we band of brothers
Fierce_LiNk replied to Haden's topic in General Chit Chat
How's dat dere relegation, brah? -
*sniff* I always wanted one of these and the Dragonzord. Did anyone hear collect the stickers? :p That sticker book was my pride and joy.

Yeah, it'll also have something to do with the movements involved and just your general strength in that area. Some people might have greater upper body strength than lower. You might increase, although it will be tougher. Having food does make a huuuge difference. Although I guess you could tweak it by eating closer to your workouts, but then you'll suffer during the rest of the day. Even if your lifts do go slightly down, you could just change your style of workout where you increase the rep range but decrease the weights. So, rather than lifting for strength or power, you lift for reps and size. Although, you won't really gain size on a cut.

Even as a United fan, that "shirt video" pisses me off. It's sad for me to see Pique acting this way, I thought he was better than that. It's a dickish thing to do and it put Cesc in a really awkward position. What I think @Ramar is also referring to is the fact that Reina is taking on the role of host in that video, celebrating, when in fact he had done virtually nothing to win those trophies. It reminds me the exact opposite of Romelu Lukaku who was on that Chelsea bus after they won the Champions League. He told the team to get the trophy out of his face and didn't celebrate, as it wasn't "his trophy". I respect that a lot.

Do eet, brah. Or8! I find squats/legs the hardest to do when on a cut. When you're bulking, you have all of this energy and confidence, so it's much easier to up the weight. Legs at the moment are tough. I found the lunges yesterday just destroyed me. On the plus side, my body is generally looking much better. I've noticed wearing clothes that they don't "hug" my gut as much as they used to. So, that's reassuring to know. They still feel good on the back and arms, so I don't think I've lost too much size. Am I winning?

Get back on it, brah. We need to sort out some races. I genuinely laughed, cried, smiled and was gutted at the same time. I had been trying for aaaaages to win that race. Somehow, I kept fucking up. I'd literally crashed in front of a truck right ON the finish line or when it was in sight, or I'd get overtaken. Somehow, I managed to win the race and then I set a new God time. I somehow jumped up half a dozen places on that leaderboard. "I AM A GOD!" I thought. You know that scene in Castaway where Tom Hanks creates fire? That's how I felt. Then, @D_prOdigy came and shattered my dreams.
-
I had a huge smile on my face during all of that scene.

I interpreted it this way: You've just sent the Pikmin to a spot to collect bridge materials. A handful go and do it. They're constantly going back and forth getting the pieces. Although YOU can see that the pieces have run out, they can't...so they'll naturally go back to make sure they've got everything. I can imagine them getting back to that spot thinking "oh, we've got everything already..."

Leg Day: Smaaaash. Somebody ring 999, my calves are on fiyaaah.

Notsureifserious.jpeg Rocky Balboa was excellent, so I guess there's hope...I want to be leaf. Saw The Intouchables/Intouchables/Untouchable - The French comedy. Amazing film. I went into it completely blind, not knowing a single thing about it. I recommend to all.

You had to dig yours up? I have to be told to get off mine. My perception of the system has changed and I'm happy I've got one. Have you got Need for Speed? If not, get it, brah. It's fun. The updates are a pain, though. I miss the old days where you just put the game in and played. Wii had better loading times, I think?
-
Hmm...fuck. That's pretty much what I want. Being able to use the Wiimote + Nunchuk for precision, whilst also being able to use the GamePad and without the need for dual analogue controls. Never played a CoD game before.
-
Because it's exciting, brooo! It would make him the most expensive signing OF ALL TIME. It's history in the making. Real Madrid have made it clear that they want him, so it's exciting just to see what sort of crazy deals they'll offer. That reported deal of 50million plus Coentrao and Di Maria is...frankly insane. Plus, Spurs will then have a shit ton of money to go out and get players. It's already competitive trying to get into that top 4, it could be even more so with Spurs having a bit of extra money. Also also...we all need something to talk about. I do. Seeing as we apparently don't appear to be signing anyone. :p
-
What does the GamePad screen actually do? Is it used for a map or a bit more than that? Can you use the Wiimote as well as the GamePad (like in Pikmin where you use the Wiimote for movement but the touchscreen for a map)
-
Bale's value will just decrease, unless he signs another contract or something and has the season of his life and emulates what Ronaldo did. For every year that he stays, he runs down another year on that contract. The only way for Spurs to keep him would be to keep turning down these offers AND get him on a longer deal. That money is insane. For that money, you could transform that Spurs side but only if that money is used wisely. Liverpool also had 50million from the sale of Torres and they didn't exactly put it all to good use. Suarez was obviously a good buy, but Carroll wasn't. It's a shame that this deal wasn't made sooner, because you could have asked for Higuain as part of it, which would have solved a massive problem for you guys. :p

An Appropriate Price For The Wii U? - Take Two
Fierce_LiNk replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Gaming Discussion
...That's not a bad shout at all. Given the likelihood that many will start downloading their games digitially this generation, that 250GB model would be put to a good use. It would also be a strong signal of intent to third parties that the space would be there for DLC, Demos, etc. Make it £170/180 with a 120/250GB hard drive and a copy of Nintendoland and . -
This is probably the only hardware revision I'll ever approve of. If anything, it just adds balance to the system. I'm looking at the Wii U GamePad and it's lovely how symmetrical it is. I go back to the 3DS and it feels like it does need another slide-pad on the other side. I can live without a second set of shoulder buttons. That would probably made the system too bulky, whilst I love the depth already.
-
I eyed it up like a hawk. I said to myself that as soon as it got to below £200, that was the time. I missed out on the ZombiU deal at HMV, that sold out fast. As soon as it got posted in the Bargains thread, I was there. Just as well, because the deal has gone now and, although Amazon price matched it initially, they have shot the price back up to £240 or something. Altogether, I paid: £199 for the Wii U with Nintendoland. £25 for Need for Speed £16 for ZombiU £9 or Batman! £18 for Tekken Tag £25 for Pikmin with Flubit thanks to @Rummy. So... £292 for a Wii U with 6 great games. All brand new. That's how it's done.

Am jealous. Can't believe that this is out soooon. I want all of the games.
-
I haven't tried that yet, I might give it a go. I just love how easy it is to play. I was worried it might be a bit fiddly but it's turning out to be the opposite. When Nintendo get it right, they can create beautiful games. Moar of this, please.
-
Just started it. The Wiimote controls are lovely. They were destined to be used with this game. I'm loving the fact that you can use the Wiimote controls and the GamePad screen simultaneously. Surely this opens up a million different possibilities?!
-
I think it's insane that he's already being compared to those two. Ronaldo and Messi are Gods of football. They are easily the best two players in the world by some distance. Bale is a fantastic player but he is in no way in the same league as these two. No way. He might have potential and might potentially be as good as these one day (maybe) but for £80million+, you don't want potential...you want the finished article.
-
That's the only way we're going to play Eternal Darkness on a Nintendo system. I would kill for a sequel or a prequel or just something.
-
I've been surprised with Miiverse. I had no idea what to expect with it and thought it would be a bit lame. I'm moving it though! Posting your photos on there is pretty addictive and generally it's a very friendly place. Surely it's a sign that Nintendo know a bit more about what they're doing online? Adding friends on there is easy, as it contacting people, writing messages to them, etc. I only wish that we had something like that on the Wii years ago.
