Aaron Ramsey will miss the next game if Wales go through. I really hate that rule. Stupid and irritating.
-
I think the wedding may be off, lads. The greatest goal ever scored by a Welshman!
-
Fellaini is coming on? 6-1 to Wales final score.
-
We're both enjoying it, although @Eenuh was getting more annoyed as the half went on. Hazard and De Bruyne need to get into the game more. Wales are bossing it in midfield.
-
That goal was about 3 miles offside. Can't believe Wales aren't 6-0 up already.

Wales vs. Belgium. Jim vs. Ine. God vs. Man. Day vs. Night.

I've just got home from work after a horrendous day to find all of this. Boris Johnson backing out is...such a fucking cop-out that I can't even begin to explain how pissed I am. Gove, though. Just...just no. No. Absolutely not. No. Never. Wouldn't piss on that reptilian prick if his life depended on it and I consider myself someone who isn't that hateful. I'd end him and I wouldn't even think twice about it. The fuckbag.

Hero is right. I was going to play this on NOW, but I decided to wait for this collection. It better be worth eeet. *shakes fist*

@kav82, man, I wouldn't even contemplate skipping any bits of dialogue or listening to the voice acting. To be honest, I don't even regard the voice acting as voice acting...I play the game and I see "real" people in front of me. In the same sense as when I watch Game of Thrones or something of that ilk. To me, having a voice gives an entirely extra dimension to each character and makes them feel more alive. The Bloody Baron, for example, is a testament to good character-building. Reading his text instead of hearing it detracts so much from the character. I hope you do keep playing it and it clicks for you. The cut-scenes are important for the world-building, imo. Every time you go on some small quest to do a little job, you're granted with a cut-scene. Even if the scene itself has a little bit of fluff to it, it fleshes out each NPC you meet. It made me want to explore every quest and do everything in the game because I didn't want to miss out on anything at all.

It's possibly/probably down to a lack of confidence that many have with Nintendo in general. I don't want to see every detail of the game spoiled, but I definitely would like some sort of indication of what type of story to expect and the types of places we can see within the game. I don't think it's that unreasonable. We've seen tons of footage/previews/teasers for FFXV without being overly spoiled.

Well... We'll both be supporting our respective teams, but we've both got a soft spot for the other. There won't be any tears at full-time, unless one team does get absolutely hammered! England... The problem with England is that there is no distinctive style to their play. It's not really possession based, it's not about getting crosses into the box, it's not counter attacking or defensive football. It's all a bit nothing really. They've not impressed in any of their games. Add to that a manager who seemed clueless at times, picking players in somewhat dubious ways (leaving Drinkwater, taking Barkley and not playing him, taking Wilshere, leaving Townsend) and making insufficient changes at optimum times and you've got plenty of reasons why England are just as far away now from winning a tournament as they were at the start of this one. England need a big shakeup and it has to start right from the bottom all the way to the top. There needs to be some true management over how England play football, whether it's slower, more patient possession based football, or counter-attacking, or total football, or whatever. That needs to start from the bottom and it needs to be ingrained into the psyche of all of the youngsters who are coming through the ranks. The emphasis for that should be around building teams and units that are not just 11 men who happens to wear the same shirt, but around a collection of men who work and function as one machine. Until that is done, it doesn't matter who actually players for the country, we're always going to fall short. On top of that, we also need men in charge who will manage the players in the right way. We need to coach our coaches in a better way than what we're currently doing. That way we can avoid certain cock-ups that have been evident in this tournament. It should help build the resilience, resolve and strength of not only the players, but the manager. We didn't have a strong manager at this tournament. Had the manager been stronger, maybe the right changes would have been made at better times in order to avoid that terrible result yesterday? Yesterday wasn't just down to a singular bad performance, but as a warning that we are falling further behind. I heard today that we've only won one game in the last two tournaments. That cannot be acceptable.

We'll look back on this squad in a few years and wonder how England did so badly. This is a good selection of players, imo. Or, rather, England should have had more than enough to beat this team. It reminds me of that Muhammad Ali quote: “Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.” Mentally, England collapse every single time. Something is seriously wrong there. Where's the resilience? They conceded from a throw-in...

Why fucking take Ross Barkley and not play him?! Roy's going. But, knowing England, he'll be replaced by someone worse...like...John Carver or something.

LOL, some of my friends on Facebook have added "son" to the end of their names to give themselves an Icelandic twist. Fucking cried when that popped up.
-
Looking at the draw, France would have butt-fucked us next game anyway. However, that was a terrible, terrible performance. Did we actually hit the target in the second half? I don't think so? I don't remember if we did! I can't believe how we managed to ruin that. England were relieved that they didn't play against Portugal...and we STILL made a mess of it. Out of all the fixtures, this was one of the more winnable ones.
-
Corners that don't make it past the first man. Corners that are over-hit and go out for throwings or don't even touch the ground until they've reached the other end of the box (as in, sailed over ALL of the players) Crosses that don't make it past the first man. SHORT CORNERS. All of these should be punishable by a week's month's wages.

Did anyone else catch that moment after the second Icelandic goal went in and somebody from the crowd started playing God Save The Queen on some sort of wind instrument? It just sounded really melancholic and...a bit pathetic. FFS, WHY WOULD YOU SHOW A HEAD AND SHOULDERS ADVERT NOW?!!
-
As soon as he started all of this Head and Shoulders shit, I knew he would decline in form. He's got no real competition and he's doing all of this extra stuff instead of challenging himself. Needs a kick up the arse.
-
Joe Hart should have done better with the second goal, imo. More uncertainty around him. Even if England do get through (I still think they will), I can't see them beating any of the remaining teams with this kind of performance.
-
Am I fucking high right now? I changed my prediction from 2-0 to 3-0 England because I thought they'd be in the mood tonight and would find space after maybe getting an early goal. England get the early goal and are now 2-1 down after 19 minutes. This is England.

The more I read the comments and the more I think on it, the more I absolutely can't believe what Wales have done. I'm getting angry just thinking about it.

I just think that Nintendo in general get an easy ride with reviews because of their history. But yes, I agree, there definitely is room for improvement with how videogame reviews are organised and handed out. The one thing I had a problem with in Skyward Sword was it's narrative and we've had absolutely nothing about that in the new one yet. The other thing is the connection of places and world building. Skyward Sword literally felt like it had a central hub, with three warp points to three unconnected lands. It's the most disjointed Zelda I've played and I didn't really have a great time maneuvering through the world. Again, we've not seen enough about the new one yet to judge that. The majority of the stuff we've seen looks fine, but it doesn't fix the issues I've had with previous games. The final issue I have is with hardware. Now that I've got a machine that can take care of all of the third party stuff, it's going to be difficult now for Nintendo to persuade me to pay hundreds of pounds for a new machine that may not have a great range of games. Zelda is awesome, but is it £300-awesome?

I have a number of friends from Wales who voted Leave and I don't understand why they're so happy about the result at all. There have been several news pieces already about how the EU contributed loads towards projects in Wales, yet the country (and its participants) seem to have forgotten that. What's more, the in-fighting and self-destruction of Labour is bad fucking news for everybody, especially the Welsh. People are absolutely fucking dreaming if they think the Conservatives (under absolutely no opposition from Labour...they'll walk the next general election) will stump up the cash and support for Wales. If there's a list of priorities for that party, Wales are on the bottom of that list. I've been following the turmoil of the Labour campaign with @Blade and I can't believe how bad it seems to be going. It's an absolute fucking shambles. My family has a history (obviously, growing up in Wales) of being Labour voters. My Dad was a Labour voter til the day he died, my Mum, brothers, friend is in the Labour party, etc. I feel completely let down by how little effort they seemed to be putting into this campaign to keep us in the EU and they've done a poor job of getting the people from Wales on side. I do think some of the blame falls at Corbyn's door, but it's been a very poor performance from the party (and Remain, in general) throughout this campaign. I can't help but feel we're stuck (or on the way to that) on an island with the Scots wanting to leave and the Conservatives in full power and control.

Italy looked great and they performed better than I expected. I thought Spain were pretty poor throughout and they didn't seem to create an awful lot. Something about their setup seemed off. It wasn't the usual passing game or control that you'd expect from them.
