ahh she's in stroke rehab then... genuinely the best place for her to be right now. I actually work with the community stroke rehab service in my job and they do stellar work. Lots of professionals trained specifically to look after stroke patients. And they have a lot of success with their patients too. Like you say she's improving day on day so there's a very good chance she'll get better, especially with her family there for support

was watching the news in NORTHERN IRELAND and they had more bloody coverage on this chaos than anything else. Some poor bastard gets murdered in belfast and it just barely gets a mention. Flips sake. We get riots/bombs on a regular basis and its rarely covered in english news....
-
very possibly... You'd be surprised how people adapt with disability! She's probably got a better chance than a lot of others at rehabilitation, given the positive signs you've had so far
-
yeah if you have to rely on one day a year for a "friend" to acknowledge your existence... its not really a great friendship :p
-
yaaaay. Hopefully with a lot of physio and stuffs she'll get most of her function back

they do settle a bit as they get older, but I swear beanie still likes a cuddle :p If you love a cat it will love you back.. if it didn't it would just move on from place to place where it could get fed. The fact is, if a dog could get the chance it would be away, but cats still come back time after time
-
i came home from work early feeling like garbage... and I had a snooze on the sofa... lil betty jumped up on me for a cuddle.. bless her :3 I think this cat has a sixth sense for these things, she's got such a lovely little nature

My father works in IT and he says its a very good course. The more courses you do the better tbh.. as i'm sure you know, its not a case of... do a course and thats you set for life.. you have to keep learning for the remainder of your career as the technology changes. And yeah, you might as well get it over and done with while you've got time to use! Makes sense You better get and pass it! Good luck

Seems a bit contradictory... no birthday thread zomg/don't want forum to take over my life... er. A lot of us are actually friends in real life, or have met on occasions so it is important to some of us! t'internet is just another form of communication... dunno why everyone shits themselves as if its like a pretend fantasy or smth.. oh yeah, i forgot why I came in the thread... to complain of course!!! I feel like crap still... had to come home from work as the aircon system was actually making me choke and/or feel like vomiting... Yuck. One massive downside to working in doctor on call office with aircon...GERMS GET EVERYWHERE. And the air is warm, horrible and stuffy from people being in there 24/7.. as well as the recycledness... so when you DO get sick, its a fucking nightmare I'm having a vindaloo tonight in the hope I sweat it out :p

This is insane.... its pretty much ALL the internet is talking about at the moment.. I bet if Belfast had a riot, it would barely even feature in the paper.. lol

my official graduation from normal person to cat lady is right here folks
-
one day about maybe a month ago, the cat came in without his collar.... we got a (relatively expensive) personalised name tag thing, thought we'd have to get a new one... but today my mum found it at the back of the garden... yay... Don't think we'll ever be buying a cat a BROWN collar again LOL

i have a really bad coldy coughy thing. Woke up insane early monday morn with my eyes burning out of their sockets, then on Tuesday with what felt like a tennis ball stuck in my throat... had to prop myself up to get any more sleep so that I didn't suffocate..... I'm pretty sure I broke the 4 hour rule thing... dosed to fuck on anything and everything I could get my hands on painkiller wise... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr go away cold!! >=(

it was £300 last time, but it is a 10 year old car. The age of it kinda means it really needs a service... the only thing I do is top up the vitals every now and then myself, that's all I can manage :p I don't want to service it myself, or not bother.. simply because I want a car that's half reliable. They throw in the pre mot too, which makes the chance of it failing an mot pretty minute.. no hassle having to rebook mot and pay moar money! (we have to go to the official MOT centres and its not just like you take it to your garage to get done)

is that the A+ course? It's a very good course if you want to get into fixing computers and working in IT in any way - looked on very highly by employers
-
hahaha that is utterly brilliant

its all very well and good not driving if you live in a city... but for most of us mere mortals, a car is pretty essential. Theres only really 3 options here; 1/ Move to where you work, 2/ Learn to drive, 3/ Don't work.. All three are pretty expensive if you think about it, and parents can't be relied on forever. I think you probably know the answer, its just getting past the trauma of that accident. -- kinda relevant and a bit ironic....lol... my cars oxygen sensor is a dud, gotta get a replacement at around £200 after labour and tax... and not that long ago i got a light and my windscreen wipers replaced... bloody expensive cars.. XD And I got the letter for my MOT, and my cars due a service..... another.... maybe £300 if nothing significant needs done... Argh

awww shes such a cutie!! Has she got a name? Betty is like that at the moment, attacking everything and everyone!! And shes just come into season and is miowing at everything >_> Boy cats are much easier than girl cats!!!

If you think its taken too seriously, why post? Just ignore the thread...? Kurtle asked for it to be posted and Ash was good enough to do it. If you havent got anything useful to say what's the point, eh? *ahem* I hope Kurtle finds happiness, t'was a shame the way it was left. I'm not taking back anything I said because I was only being honest.. we're here for a pitiful amount of time and there's no point being miserable... you take what you have and run with it, and try and be happy. And I can certainly testify as someone who doesn't always have it easy... or whatever... but I try my best to be happy.. Spending time with miserable people isn't good for anybody. oh yeah, and it was very decent of you to respond in an adult manner, and I don't really hate you either.
-
that looks pretty yum
-
£200 to get a new oxygen sensor in my car... crap. then as i went to pick up my car it was parked in by two cars. The owner moved one, but one was still like... really in the way. To make matters worse some arsehole parked me in then his wife decided to be a guide.... "turn it this way!!!" etc. I've got no depth perception so this is where I really struggle when it comes to driving, but I would have gotten it given time and no stupid nagging guide... Urgh. There was about two inches room between me and this VERY expensive 4x4 and i was shitting bricks trying not to hit it
-
is it not supposed to go the other way? you lightweight
-
isn't it weird how pets seem to do that... they take a standing in the family as equals to the rest of us...

gaaaahhh too cute :3
