or that "black" people actually used to be almost black. Now blacks and whites breed between each other and you see less and less truly "black" people.

too much protein when your body doesn't need it isn't very good for you, it still has to be processed. And it may turn into fat.

Over my overdraft what will happen...
Raining_again replied to flameboy's topic in General Chit Chat
I could imagine that its pretty scary having to live in your overdraft.. Thing is, this is the way I can see all banks going to reclaim money they've lost and bring the economy back up. Someone has to fund it.. Typical that its your "average joe" taxpayer and not the rich bastards who abused the system in the first place! -

I have a £2k overdraft that previously I could be in for free. (no charge for going into it, and no monthly/daily maintenance charge. anything over the authorised amount was a £30 charge. Not sure how the interest worked then. Now there's no initial charge, and the £1 (authorised) or £5 (unauthorised) daily fee. I don't think I have to pay interest on top of that. So basically now I will have to pay £1 per day for something I was getting for free. Suppose its good in that it encourages me not to get into my overdraft -
This is completely true. With diet alone you can lose weight. I found adding exercise (albeit probably better for my health) made me feel like i could justify having a cream bun, or whatever treat I wanted. Thus I didn't really lose as much as I could have. When you aren't exercising its on your mind and you are far far stricter with yourself. With regards to the milk stuff, I find you can have the full fat stuff but you absolutely MUST measure it, and have small quantities. If you actually measure what is considered a portion of cereal (30g/40g whatever is on the box) you'll find its smaller than what you normally consider, and the same with milk. (as an example) The first time I ever dieted that was my worst shock! Portion control! You don't realise how quickly you double/treble your portion sizes.

Diazipam wooo!! I always have a current addiction. No matter what it is, there's always something there. Be it gym, piercing, food, smoking..etc. I can easily get off an addiction (like smoking - I quit with minimal problems) but there's always something else to replace it.

I got a letter through the door from teh halifax today! They are changing the overdraft fees! Instead of having a £30 unauthorised overdraft fee (once only) its going to be £1 per day of being in an authorised overdraft, and £5 per day for an unauthorised overdraft. I could imagine a few people living in their overdraft, and getting that in the mail will be really worried =( -
In days gone by the word "retarded" used to be completely acceptable in society. Now its frowned on, because people use these terms in nasty ways. Every term that comes around gets abused by society then its suddenly become unacceptable. The NHS actually has an awareness department as such. They do seminars (which is compulsory every 2 years) training us to be nice to everyone and what terms you can and can't use. And how to deal with certain problems and who to report to. "Wheelchair dependant" is apparently a negative term and you should call them "wheelchair users" as if it suggests they have a choice. If I was in a wheelchair I wouldn't really give a shit which one they used... I get worse names as someone with a skin condition! But you can say "see you later" to someone that is blind. Or "gotta run" to someone in a wheelchair.. Its crazy

My granny has come round from her coma. But she thinks my mum was injured, and that my dad was stabbed in an attack, which put her in said coma. So she thinks my dad is dead, weird.

Yeah I know I was completely the same! Took a sore head one night. Just thought, ah another migraine, took pills, went to bed. (had been having a lot of them at the time so it wasn't too much a worry) Got up in the morning and I was so sick/dizzy/nauseous I couldn't even get out of bed. Its pretty comparable with the side effects of methotrexate (cancer therapy) now that I think about it. *gives you get well hugs* You'll be alright soon enough. I only had it so bad for so long because my immune system is bollocks!

I do agree with you totally. It is unlikely (if you know what you are doing that is) But at the same time, it costs a couple of quid for a static strap to eliminate the small (but still real) possibility of frying a £200 graphics card. And some people just don't have a foggies about what they are touching, and don't follow the suggested guidelines you mentioned Prevention rather than cure.

Sounds a bit like flu, pretty much exactly what I had when I was ill recently. It lasted for 2 weeks >_> Hopefully you get over it soon =)

You could grab some of those wrap around weights for your legs if you want to push your cycling workout. I bought my mum these when she was really into her gymming.

They'll still charge you whether its 2 minutes or 2 years. I had the same once, went into a 15p overdraft, pulled out some of my savings into my account an hour later and they still charged me. -

Yeah they pretty much will charge you for going into an unauthorised overdraft. There was a big kick off about it but nothing ever came into place. Usually its about £30 edit: linky -
I've seen them for closer to the 25 mark in some places! They are bloody huge and heavy as fuck (1.2kg) I don't think I actually own any.. I like the smallest ones, then you don't get too sick of the smell of it before its done!

my granny is in a coma =( she had a fall a while ago and was responding well to the iv antibiotics, but suddenly became comatose. The doctors aren't giving us much hope. Probably fairer for her passing away peacefully, rather than trying to bring her round if she's had a stroke or something. Still sucks pretty badly.

Life (and everything) is what you make of it. Get lemons, make lemonade. Stop being so sceptical guys. I'm a currant bun. Short shelf life. Crumbles easily. But tastes the best ever (p.s I like this thread! its good to see a fun, but not spammy, thread. Fun to exercise your imagination rather than being miserable all of the time!!!)
