  1. Not played CoD or FC but I'd definitely recommend this game. I think there's no question about it not deserving the slating it got from reviewers. Yeah it has its flaws and yeah it will no doubt be surpassed in the future but right now, it's a fantastic game that feels pretty fresh. I can definitely see me going back to this actually, just going through the odd level now and then.
  2. Does there need to be a timeline for the Zelda games? I mean, the stories are usually fairly shallow compared to many RPG's. Can't we just say "hey, they're all just different games based in the same, similar world but they don't really interlock with each other - they don't have to, they're only games" Because to be honest, whatever Nintendo say now, they never planned a massive timeline behind the Zelda series in the beginning. Just all these arguments about the timelines of the games seem so silly! Maybe it's just me.
  3. Shush, shush. There's heaps of differences. Faster gameplay, playable boss characters, more moves, reversal attacks, more mid air attacks, better character balancing, able to fight against the same character... need I go on?
  4. Talking about Wii skins, the Link one for the front of your Wii in the new NOM is pretty good. There's also an NES controller one and a pink one for your wiimotes. These aren't as good I don't think. My NES one wasn't printed all that greatly and the edges stick out the sides of the remote a little which will probably result in them getting fucked up and tatty in no amount of playtime at all.
  5. If it were the Super or Turbo edition then I'd buy straight away. As it is... I'm not sure right now...
  6. GOLD STAR and cookies to Myke Greywolf, where do I send the cookies to?! Let his word be gospel in the future! And so the law was set.
  7. Yeah, Mario Kart 64 is at the top of my wishlist for tonight... Forecast: No chance.
  8. Haha my thinking exactly. It's weird to be excited about this...!
  9. I thought this too when I first started playing the game. Unfortunately -I think- you can only play it with 4 players which is why you can't normally select it Which sucks because it sounds damn interesting, just not many people have four sets of controllers yet. Hell, I barely use the two I have.
  10. That's supposing your little bird is correct! If you're right then we'll all buy you a cookie!
  11. I can't believe why this game got so slated in the reviews? Did the reviewers only play the first portions of the game which are admittedly quite mediocre? Some of the later levels are freaking awesome! Okay, the controls can glitch every now and then and you can 'lose' where the screen is sometimes resulting in spinning but they're a hell of a lot better than a normal console FPS! Not completed this yet (I'm restricting myself to a level a day) but already I can't wait for Red Steel 2!
  12. That is pretty cool! Wouldn't be bothered so much by the A button but the four LEDs at the bottom look awesome. Shame I know that I'll never be arsed or want to risk fucking up my wiimote to actually attempt this
  13. Could the little bird be http://www.nintendo-europe.com by any chance? :p
  14. Pretty much the same as yours Dante except number 5... 1. Majora's Mask 2. A Link to the Past 3. Twilight Princess 4. Wind Waker 5. The Minish Cap. ZOMG NO OCARINA?!?! CONTROVERSIAL!!!!? I just never got that 'into' it. It was the first post N64-release zelda I played but I wasn't there at the very beginning so maybe that is something to do with it.
  15. Before the US or Japan gets it!? I wouldn't hold your breath. I doubt we'd get as big a title as one of those first.
  16. check the link before you post it eh? It's not available yet. EDIT: Can see it now. haha, pretty awesome. 9/10.
  17. You know you can update it manually through the wii system menu right? Just tried the news channel after grabbing 2.1E - nada.
  18. To be honest though (And I'm not saying you're one of them) for every person that ass rapes anything Apple makes, there's another guy who's the exact opposite and hates anything Apple makes purely because it's Apple. I'm sorry but no. Steve Jobs called it a phone, ipod and internet device together. It is meant to be an mp3 player more so than most phones with mp3 playing functionality. Yeah I do have more than 8GB, I've got around 12Gb currently (in a medium quality mp3 format I might add which I don't like) and with this I'd want to use the video playing functions of it so I'd expect that to start rising pretty rapidly. He did call it an ipod and in the beginning, the whole point in an ipod was that it stored all your music on one device. I know there're nanos and minis now but even they are more so intended for people with smaller music libraries. Having all your music on one portable player is part of what has helped define the ipod and make it so successful. I just don't think 8GB is enough for this device and especially when it's launching right at the end of the year for us. Here's hoping they decide to bring out and iPhone thin and fat. Texting just uses an onscreen keyboard. In the demo I saw I noticed he did make a typo on the keyboard (hit a p instead of an o) but it corrected it straight away. The multi touch thing seemed to have a few uses but the main example was say you're looking at a picture. Need to make it bigger? then you put two fingers on the screen. Pull your fingers apart to make the image bigger, bring them in closer and make it smaller. I saw a tech demo of this sort of user interface multi touch screen technology a while back and it was extremely impressive. One example in that tech demo (don't think it was an apple one so who knows if this sort of thing will make the iPhone) was using the multi touch for rotation. Put one finger down which acts as an anchor point. Then, using the other finger you can rotate the image around that anchor point. There were other vry cool things in that demo that I can't quite recall. The Apple iPhone site has some pretty cool demos on it though. wooooo!
  19. I think the only reason why I'd think twice about picking up one of these is to do with the memory... Come on apple, 8 gig max? My itunes library is way bigger than that with just music, never mind videos and the like. just seen a video of the thing in action on the bbc news site and it just looks utterly awesome.
  20. Haha, that was pretty funny. Thought it might have been a serious one from your first post! The girl's pretty cute too. I have a bit of a weird thing for redheads...
  21. I hear it's impossible to get the full 1000 points in a couple of the dancing beat games. People say they've got the whole thing perfect yet still haven't had quite enough points to earn 1000 points.. lol silly ubi.
  22. Haha, to be honest I'm surprised it was so long coming (no intended pun) Can't download it right now though due to it being super laggy like you said. The expression on that guy's face in your screencap is classic though!
  23. I had the same worry about the classic controller but it doesn't bother me at all now. The wiimote just sits comfortably on my lap or by my side and I don't even notice it for the most part. The classic controller feels really good. I wish nintendo would sort it out and do something to let us play Gamecube games with it because it'd be so much more convenient
  24. Very doubtful. Besides many other things, there's just not enough memory on the wii.
  25. No idea about the ending, was a bit anticlimatic but I hear that the final bonus in score mode is impossible to unlock because it's -apparently- impossible to get 1000 points in some of the mini games!
