It's definately a good improvement, but no where near the scale of what Melee looked like compared to the original. Nintendo have to release this in Europe by the end of the year, it's their biggest killer-app with wide appeal, without it Nintendo may fall behind at Christmas compared to what the competition has to offer.

Funny Joke. Seriously though Red Steel had potential but was rushed into release so the game was very buggy and the novelty of playing wore off quickly (Sword Fighting wasn't even fun) after the Fun House level. The rest of the game was painful to play, compared to many good FPSes Red Steel was very average. I guess I should put IMO here since this is my opinion and you can still like the game no matter my opinion. Actually to be fair though I haven't played Rabbids so that could turn out to be not that great too.

Actually I thought R6: Vegas on the 360 was awesome, and Assassin's Creed has a great amount of potential. Ubisoft and the Wii though, *shudder*, they've been cashing in on some really crap games, when is there actually going to be a good (original) Wii game from Ubisoft bar Rabbids?

Maybe it was never intended to come out at that original date at all but Nintendo said late 2006 anyway just to keep fans interested. Like they do with a lot of games...

I thought FFX was really weak in the battle system department, I thought the grid system was very restrcitive and the game showed how aged the Final Fantasy formula had become, it just wasn't fun anymore, the story was good but Tidus was the worst main character ever. FFXII on the other hand has this great, easily manipulated battle system that doesn't force characters to be certain classes unlike FFIX and FFX, and the gambits work very well if you know how to use them. As for the story it is very over-complex and there really is no main character, although you could say their is a bigger focus on Vaan than other characters while he isn't really connected to the overall main plot. For a Final Fantasy FFXII has paved the way for future FFs to follow and FFX proved that the same gameplay can get old and tired. As for a videogame FFXII is a great real-time RPG while FFX is okay if you haven't played Final Fantasies before it. As for people who bash FFXII, obviously you either have bad taste in RPGs or miss your soap-opera love stories too much.
