If there was gonna be another MGS character it would have to be Raiden (or Liquid), but Raiden doesn't pass the Third Party Character rules Sakurai (sp?) put down, I don't think anyone would really want Mantis in the game either. Wasn't it only three or four third party characters are going to be in Brawl anyway? Snake makes one, the other two/three would have to be pretty big third party characters to make it into Brawl. Sonic, Megaman and Pacman (lolerbeans), obviously.

Agreed that's the main reason I think the game deserves a remake more than any other Final Fantasy game, it's an amazing gaming experience which has aged badly in the visuals department. The modern generation of gamers should have the chance to play this game without being turned off by it's now 'ugly' graphics.

In all fairness I'm exactly like immy, I used to be a hardcore Ninty Fanboy, I said real pathetic stuff about other consoles because Nintendo gave me what I wanted and it was good. But then the DS and the Wii came along and suddenly the hardcore fan base is meant to accept this massive change? We didn't ask for it, we didn't even know it was coming, and now we either have to enjoy both Nintendo's real games and non-games or feel resentful because Nintendo are making less of the quality games we've known and loved for decades. I went down the resentful path because I hated the non-games and I felt like Nintendo didn't care about gamers like me anymore because they had changed to appeal to the mass audience for success, which is very true, and a lot of the real-games Nintendo have tried on the DS and Wii just feel wierd (Star Fox feels like Advance Wars with Dog Fighting) and a lot of them just plain suck in different ways (MPH, Excite Truck). So now I own many consoles to satisfy my other gaming needs and so I feel less resentful towards Nintendo, and hopefully looking on the horizon at Galaxy, Brawl and Prime 3, Nintendo will make these games work and very fun while not changing them from their roots. It seems like a lot of Nintendo Fanboys are split down the middle whether to embrace or end up angry, and those guys need to accept that the Wii is gonna be a bit shit in these early months and wait for a while or just move on to another platform. But I agree with Hellfire that cheap shots like the one that immy threw are not needed abd I'm sure that everyone on this forum is a Nintendo fanboy in some way otherwise we wouldn't be here. Oh yeah sorry Aimless my post was a bit pointless then, , I guess I missed that other paragraph of yours.

Final Fantasy XII gameplay relies on a 3D environment because all the fighting is now in real-time, the monsters now roam the world you walk through, there's no loading out of the world anymore and I'm sure future Final Fantasies will use this new gameplay since it worked pretty well, I really think this gameplay would not work in a pre-rendered environment. Nearly all the ARPGs I can think of use 3D environments, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, Sudeki and even GTA: San Adreas, those games would not work with pre-rendered environments, I think the main reason is because ARPGs use 3D cameras, something not possible in pre-rendered games. As for the examples you gave, Secret of Mana couldn't be made in 3D at the time so it was made to work with the 2D graphics it had to use. Revenant Wings is sort of like a real time strategy game, like FF Tactics so it can still use a pre-rendered environment and work well, I said something like FFXII (Revenant Wings is suprisingly different in Gameplay) or an ARPG would need 3D world. Fair enough with Crystal Chronicles although I thought the environments might as well have been pre-rendered considering that the camera was always fixed above the character you played as.

If the Gameplay on the Wii game is a turn-based batteling like old Final Fantasies where you warp out of the environment for battels then sure that could happen. Anything like FFXII or an Action RPG would need a 3D environment for the gameplay to work.

Edge are always right, how dare you deny them! I just tend to buy badly scored games regardless of their opinions and then regret it later...

Nintendo need to pour more non-games out there for the Wii to secure a healthy market share, then we'll probably get FFXIV. (In about 5 years though since the XIII project is so big ) What really intrests me is how things are gonna turn out this Christmas, there are gonna be mega gaming Blockbusters (Halo 3, MGS4, Brawl) on all consoles so it's hard to predict who's gonna come out victorious.

I'm probably a noob to you guys at Halo even though I always kick my friends' arses. To be fair enough though they didn't play the game as much as I did.

Ah man Pedro that was one mighty fine post, I can only hope that since the next Kingdom Hearts is very early into development that it goes multi-platform like 'The Last Remnant' or is on the Wii. I really don't want it to be on a handheld though like Parasite Eve, Kingdom Hearts doesn't deserve to have a full-fledged sequel on an inferior platform.

Star Ocean 4 apparently hasn't been confirmed for ant console yet, it shouldn't be labelled as a PS3 title, for all we know it could be on the Wii.

Tellyn you need to start using the shotgun more, it's really handy when someone's close to you, I've found the chainsaw isn't reliable in those situations. 'Gears tonight?' Hell yes.

Thought I'd drop this in here. This is a wall at the S-E Party were people can put their wishes up on... Pretty damn funny.... A lot of people want remakes.

Kingdom Hearts 2 graphics are not a bad thing, they were definately some of the best that were ever seen out of the PS2. A lot of people have been saying this game has a manga style similar to Kingdom Hearts and is a lot more action oriented than the original. I think people are just comparing the game to most similar game possible; Kingdom Hearts because there are no screens for people to see, ther will probably be more advanced effects and details in the game than what was seen in Kingdom Hearts. Still don't expect anything better than Mario Galaxy, even though people don't like to believe it and that second generation Wii titles will look loads better I still believe that the Wii is still just a 'Gamecube 1.5' (until I'm proven wrong) so don't expect graphics anywhere near as good as the ones we saw in the FMV from E3 last year. I'll expect there to be a crappy leaked video soon, but Square Enix will probably save the official video for the small E3 event.
