HD-DVD is falling away pretty quickly, Blu Ray is out selling it now and the future releases on HD-DVD are bleak to say the least, compare that to Blu Ray which has a very crowded release calendar. I can't see it being long before Blu Ray is declared the successor to DVD.

Good point, The PS3 may be slightly more powerful, but then the 360 is so much better at scaling - Each console has it's own advantages and own set of killer titles like Aimless has stated. As much as i'm really enjoying my PS3 now, I'm still a 360 fan and there's still plenty of games I would like for it. I just wish people would provide a little better arguments for not getting a PS3 than, "OMG it's such a rip off, STFU Sony"

Fanboyism ahoy. I find it funny you make such an opinion, I take it you consider yourself a hardcore gamer? Correct me if i'm wrong here please, but being that you don't own a PS3 and have probably never had a go on one, what do you base your opinion on?

Got Virtua Tennis, played a little so far and it seems pretty decent. Is it just me though or does anyone else find it incredibly easy?

One other i've noticed about the PS3 is the distinct lack of noise it makes, in comparison to the bus like sound of the 360.

Shut up fool. As for the game argument, it's only just come out. It took the 360 at least a year to build a decent catalogue, the less said about the state of the Wii's game line up the better. The PS3 has had the best launch line up this gen, at least give it more than a day before you judge it.

The PS3 is the by far the best next gen console in my view. The menu system is so easy to use and navigate, the playstation store is brilliantly implemented, along with the browser and folding @ home.
