The concept behind VR is great, although tech isn't there yet. It's jarring to be "wow it's like I'm really here, let's use this gun...oh wait I'm pressing a button".
Most people I know who have had a go have liked it but said they felt nauseated after a prolonged period on it. This is a major issue, it's even happened to some journalists testing Oculus out. People say "well it probably wasn't calibrated right", and that's a valid reason but brings up another point. Do you honestly expect the standard consumer to go in and calibrate everything? Considering how many haven't even properly set up their TVs, it's not likely.
