Seem to recall Matt Asamassina saying its not been canned. So thats a good thing.... and since Nintendo bought the deveoper (i think) they should still be hard at work.

Nintendo have a massive amount of franchises they can fall back on - including some which have been on hiatus - PilotWings (which can be repitched at a casual market), Kid Icarus (surely, surely its coming...) plus the rest mentioned here. Plus, its been hinted that Zelda and possibly Mario Galaxy could see sequels this generation. Miyamoto promised a new IP for Wii's launch - there's some contention as to wether this was WiiSports, but i'm hopeful he meant a new IP is a seperate game. What are Retro working on? What are HAL working on? Zoonami's Nintendo exclusive? And they're off the top of my head! Besides party games, there's plenty for Wii coming up. I'm sure we'll see a good handful of games at this years E3 - the date of which escapes me.

All our work was external. Our line used to run from the green street box, round the street at the back of our home, and eventually reached us. Since the original lines were put in, a new housing estate was built just down the road... BT gave this housing its own ducting and cabling which runs straight past our house - obviously a more direct route. When the BT engineer fixed our line, he used the brand new cabling for the new houses, routed it up telegraph pole and rejoined to our drop line. Essentially, we have a shorter and newer cable from green box to the telegraph pole.

So, should I be looking at a lower or higher ping? You've confused this easily confusable brain! I've been looking at the BT wholesale speed estimate tool. Here all neighbours are estimated at 3, although we, oddly are estimated much lower... The BT engineer has effectively shortened our line lgth so we should be hitting better speeds?

We recently had qiute a bit of work done on out BT landline some time ago. The work was to correc an overhearing problem, and a constant crackle on the line. Before the work was done, our internet connection was shockingly slow, 330kps. The slow broadband connection was a side effect of the other problems, and in all honesty, the real reason we had BT repair the line. Since the repair was done, our connection has settled at around 2mps. Our neighbours get around 3mps. The BT engineer said that the repair should increase the top speed, but could lower ping. Obviously, an increase in top speed will be good, but ping... I seem to recall it being somewhat important in online gaming? Is a drop in ping good or bad?

Disagree. Goichi Suda promised No More Heroes would be a violent, gory game - promising it would even out-gore Manhunt 2. The fact that last minute the distributors/Suda chickened and self-censored does not make NMH Japanese/European the 'proper' game. Remember, Ubisoft have not added the blood in the US version, Japan/Europe have had the blood removed. The USA version is the definative version, since its closest to the game Suda wanted to make. Whether the pressure to self censor forced Suda to make cuts is totally irrellevent. The game he was trying to make was blood drenched and thats the one that hit the US stores.

does anyone know if you have a choice where your MKchannel can be kept? Can you choose to keep this in game, or is it always homed on my alreay heaving Wii Menu?

christ. I hate not being able to move saves. The buggers did the same with F-Zero GX. I bought a massive 1019 memory card, only to find i still had to keep the 59 GX was on. If they want to stop me dishing out my save, why not link it to my Wii console number, a la, VC titles?

Ok, we're takling about major graphical downgrades, but RE5 should come to Wii. If it looks half as goos as RE4: Wii Edition, then thats more then acceptable. Cacom gave their faith to Nintendo during the Gamecube era - and GC wasn't the market leader. The Wii is. DO IT CAPCOM. Make this gamer happy!

I was thinking about the various review sites dotted around, including NE,and happened to stumble over an idea. Why don't our Forumites join in with reviews? Formumers do occasionally have a word to say about Nintendo products! I don't know whether its technically possible, but could each and every game be reviewed by NE also contain the Forumer's average score, perhaps updated on the main site as each new forumite adds their own score? A true reflection of how a game is doing (and hopefully, it might persuade some of the more casual gamers to try something apart from Carnival Games and WiiSports rip offs!!) I've obviously marked this as a message to staff, however, all forum members coule leave their views and thoughts on this subject here too.
