  1. I was having a wonder through Metroid earlier, and noticed the Wii disk drive was whizzing like a mini tornado. I say 'noticed', but it was pretty hard to not to notice, it was surprising loud. Marginally worried, i went straight back to the menu thinking this would cure it... No. The Whizzing still whizzed. A little more worried, i popped in Zelda to which, low and behold, i was greated with a normal slight whirr of my Wii. I never noticed such a racket when playing through Metroid last year. Does Metroid have, i don't know, ball barings inside? Any thoughts?
  2. The complete shambles that is David Gossen, former head of Nintendo of Europe is headed to Microsoft Interactive Entertainment. Why Microsoft have hired him is anyones guess - although, lets be fair, while at NOE he couldn't have done a better job at shrinking Nintendo's market share. Thats something that'll no doubt be on the resumé he passed to Microsoft. Its worth noting that Gossen left the employment of NOE in August 2004, and really isnt jumping ship as the linked story subtly suggests: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=185152
  3. 1.2? a what point did the developers agree this would be a worthwhile addition to PC, let alone Wii?
  4. I wouldnt say Sadness was ever a deliberate hoax. I personally think its one of those games which has fallen by the wayside and noones actually going to ever confirm it. However, my new ambition is to learn C+, develop a game call sadness, and happily enjoy Jordan eating his own face. With Red onion relish. Delicious, Sir!
  5. I really, really do want Sadness to arrive. However, the signs are not good.
  6. WFC Pay to Play should sort that concern out (if it doesn't I suggest N-E travel to Japan and harass Iwata until he gives in(a daily happy-slap?)), and hapily put off those casual gamer's who'll lag in 30th place. I really do want Nintendo to blow us away this E3 with a couple of titles. Perhaps then in September sort a further couple of titles, and try to keep things quarterly.
  7. Despite the brilliance of Metroid Prime 3 and MoH, I doubt we'll see an influx of FPS. Japanese developers are not exactly known for their FPS games, so its up to western developers to put FPS firmly on the Wii map- and western developers seem to have all but forgotten Wii exists; party games, aside.
  8. Zelda is just a big fat no. You've got some key franchises which we KNOW nintendo are working on, and any showing of Zelda would undermine the other games. I'd rather see Nintendo take 7 year break with Zelda and create something as revolutionary as Ocarina. AC is an absolute must. It's one of Reggies Bridge Titles. Starfox perhaps. Pikmin 3 without a doubt.
  9. Given RE4 still looks the muts nuts, its a shame that the Wii version of AITD doesn't look a little better. I'm still hopeful that it turns out a stunning title though, with great controls.
  10. Bumpage. AITD was given an extensive preview on Bravo's Gamer.tv (repeated Saturday) earlier. The Xbox 360 version was obviously shown, with no mention of Wii-ified controls, but it did at least confirm a Wii version in the Format ticker, no mention of PS3 as i recall... Must admit, it looks extremely promising. Very much inspired by RE4. Are there images/videos of the Wii version... EDIT: to answer my own question. Wii Version - apparently... Posted by Planet Nintendo, whoever they are, as Wii gameplay footage at youtube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUlASj8grqk
  11. The scenery looks great, its the character models which i think look ropey - also rather small on screen too. That Kong picture which showed up a while ago was shocking. It seems that Nintendo have opted to highlight your weapons in battle. Why? Players realising they've been hit by their own shell/banana/etc is part of the risk in lobbing such items around the plce (and those green shells in SNES Super Mario Kart never stopped flying about!).
  12. Smash is too big a franchise to ignore. I do feel with extra downloadable content, for example, new characters and the like Brawl could last well into next gen, giving a good breathing space between this and Smash 4.
  13. and the fact i'd be using scart won't be a problem?
  14. i've scanned the previous pages, no one seems to have answered.
  15. Hopefully so. I love the look of this.
  16. What?! Nintendo offloaded that heap o' crap just in time, Starfox Adventures was mediocre at best, and as for the turds Rare have dropped on XBOX and 360, simply inexcusable. The best thing to have come out from Rare in the past 5 years are ports of 10 year old SNES games. Nintendo must've been laughing all the way to the bank. Agreed that Nintendo need to splash the cash a bit, more development teams, buy existing IPs (as per Fatal Frame rumour), but holding on to Rare because they used to make great games.? No thank you.
  17. Thats a good point. I;m using scart, has anyone experienced the Freeloader/ NMH combo by SCART?
  18. Might seem an entirely crud question, but each time you want to play US/Jap game, you need to follow the instructions? I'm assuming so, of Freeloader would install in memory... and the wii needs to be set on 480i or 480p, right?
  19. GOD Channel? Audi Channel? WE don;t live in a Virgin area, but i'd have Virgin over Sky any day - VOD, fast, reliable broadband. The only think i'd miss wuld be Sky One - and thats only for Lost.
  20. I really ust want someone to confirm NMH compatibility, happy to wait for Brawl as I imaging online will be a biatch!
  21. I have one particular mate and we have odd occurences all the time, they've inherited the name "Bob Monkhouse Exerience" - i'll explain the name in a mo... The first time something odd happened is years ago. We were waiting at traffic lights, when we both turned and quoted the exact same line from the Exorcist ("Do you know what she does, your c**ting daughter") - nothing on the radio to inspire that, no trigger, just out of the blue, at the exact same time... hmmm. Another example (where the occurence gets its name from). I sent a random text to him, suggesting he was with Bob Monkhouse. He'd actually just put a DVD on - which had an introduction by non other than Mr M! Two of many strange Bobs!
  22. I phoned the store (online customer services were closed) about this, and although the chap was not the sharpest tool in the box, he did say they'd be getting more in.
  23. Personally, I hate being owned by that shite green inflatable dinosaur. I love beating his arse.
  24. Green Pegasus is open and broad minded person. You are steady and calm. You also can show consideration to others and have a potential for being a leader. Although you lack forwardness, you have a natural sense to read other person's feelings. Therefore you posses good personal relationship tactics. You dislike causing uneasiness between people and will try to cooperate with the others. You like to take care of other people and are a big brother type. You tend to make rush promises though. You try to solve matters on your own, and this may stress you. Your unique personality will attract people and helps you to make effective contacts. You ought to live life freely without bindings. Your purpose of life lies in not staying in one place, and lead varied and exciting life. Nevertheless, you look for stability and progress in social life. If you think too high of your own ways and thinkings, it may lead to failure. Interacting with other people will bring in huge success. If you work on your own on something you enjoy, you will show great talent.
