People said State of Plays should be more like Nintendo Directs. -

Spending too long on it as well, especially considering the short length of the SoP. -
Amazing announcement. Always wanted to play them but the cost of the PS1 version was too rich for my blood.

I've still yet to order it myself. I'll probably pick it up from Argos on Thursday or Friday. It depends when I finish Emio: The Smiling Man. -

I've now finished the first 7 chapters. Still loving it. I have a few thoughts about who the culprit could be. It could be too obvious though but then the game may want me to think that. I'm very intrigued to see how all of this plays out... -

Yes, I too would like them returned. My fry ups aren't the same without them.

Interesting. I never knew that was the case. I still think they get more flak than they deserve. I've played a fair few of their games (Battlefront Collection, Episode 1 Podracer, Republic Commando, Jedi Knight II) and I never really had any issues with them. Yes, even Battlefront. Unless all of these were handled by other teams, I think they do an alright job.

This is exactly why/where Level-5 lost the plot. Instead of just making a good game they have become obsessed with making everything a cross media project.

To be fair, the recent Tomb Raider collection is fantastic. So happy with this finally being a thing. The first Soul Reaver game is something very special.

This was just shown on their TGS stream and it has now been delayed until 2026. Insane.

That's when I lost interest in it. I remember a little bit of the JBL and Evolution stuff but I was only dipping in and out of it, not really watching it every week like I used to. The Rock and Austin had left by then. I do remember this Royal Rumble moment from 2005 though. Hilarious stuff. I loved Eddie.

The trilogy is complete. What a fantastic set of games! Playing them all in quick succession really highlighted how the games evolved. The first game was the template, the second an evolution and the third a refinement. The amount of content in the first and second games is staggering. Story mode, arcade mode and challenges will keep a player busy. The story mode is pretty good in the second game but they take it even further in the third and make an absolutely awesome campaign. One of the stages is very Perfect Dark. Very fitting. Also, some of the challenge stages are hilarious. I had one where I had to fend off a horde of shotgun toting zombie chimps. Trophies were a little more difficult this time around. I had to get at least a gold ranking on every challenge and arcade level and also complete a couple of story levels at the highest difficulty to unlock all the characters. As much as I adored playing these games, it was also a sad reminder of just how far the industry has fallen. As I mentioned earlier, a game like this probably wouldn't exist today without the players being nickle and dimed for the extra characters. It would probably launch with a story mode and then you'd be charged extra for the others. Sad times and a very fitting platinum trophy title.
