Just looking at early next year: Socom Confrontation Resident Evil 5 Killzone 2 Then as the year go's on, there will be the ones that get hyped but are probably going to be dissapointing (Heavy Rain?) Then there is the 'You know its gonna Rock' games. (Gran Turismo 5 and Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2)

There has been lots of outstanding games this year, but there has not been any incredible ones. Last year, CoD4 brought Halo 3 to its knees with its extremely popular multiplayer. It easily won GotY, and is still being played on Live and PSN by thousands every day. There has been nothing like that this year. *Looks at PS3 collection* Out of all my games, (20+) I can honestly say only CoD4 will keep me coming back time and time again (and maybe Rock Band)

Thats so they can offer more as DLC, earning more £££$$$'s.

I totally agree mate, I maybe was a bit harsh saying this game was irrelevent. I have never played it, so cannot pass judgement. It probably is a decent fighter, and as you say, its a no brainer for MK or DC fans. I loved Mortal Kombat II, even downloaded it on PSN, so may give this one a rent. (Probably fall in love with the game now you watch lol) Is Soul Calibur 4 really that bad? I was gonna get this from Play.com, its only £17.99.

I will reserve judgement on that. Sorry I could not get on with the clan tonight guys, my nephews came to visit and wanted to play Rock Band. Maybe next time.

I would hardly call Soul Calibur 4 a graphical 'Turd' I have never played it, but from the Video's I have seen and the reviews I have read, it seems the graphics are very good. I have no problem pulling of special moves in SSF2THDR, games with easy to pull off special moves just become button mashers. Street fighter has always been about the Strategic gameplay, which is why it is still to this day being played competitively. This has just been refined in HD Remix, and the results are fantastic. If you don't like it, then fair enough, but that does not mean Capcom have in any way failed to produce an outstanding fighting game. Virtual Fighter 5 SSF2THDR Tekken5 DR Online Naruto Soul Calibur 4 DragonBall Z Fight Night Round 3 All decent fighting games. Is there any room for MK vs DCU? I don't know, maybe for MK fans. But for me, there are better games out or coming out that interest me more.

This game just seems so meh to me. Its probably a decent fighter an all, but with so many other really good fighters out/coming out......this seems irrelevent. For now I will stick with Tekken and SSF2THDR, until SF4 comes out. And possibly keep an eye out for SC4 in any bargain bins.

Finished this game last night, this is definately one of my favourite single player games. Sadly it has been overlooked due to the recent pre-christmas gaming blitz. It is one of the few games that as soon as I finished it, I immediately started back at the beginning on a harder difficulty setting. Superb.

I have not touched this for a while, I will be on late afternoon/early evening if you guys are still on. But, seriously, you guys need to get CoD4. The multiplayer is still the Daddy.

I actually shat myself last night. Upto chapter 7 now, I love ths game. It has managed to keep my attention longer than BioShock. Some of the best graphics I have seen since Uncharted.

The Missus has gone to MeadowHell today, asked if I wanted anything..........'Dead Space please' That should be all the games I want for this year bought, maybe pick up MotoGP 08 at some point. Gonna play it tonight, dark, lights off, pull the chair up close to the telly.

I personally love the shoulder buttons for hard kicks/punches, and the face buttons for medium/light. Its a carbon copy of the SNES version controller setup, and I put so many hours into that.

I am sure it is no surprise that this game is in development, but I for one am very pleased it has now been officially announced. And it is back in the modern era. Also, Activision have also announced other titles......Bond racing game anyone? Source

I would take the subtitle 'Among Thieves' with a pinch of salt. GameInformer has made up names before, calling Resistance 2 'United we Fall' Burks.

Co-op is good, but I think CoD:WaW does it better. I suppose I am just a CoD fanboy, I dunno. Is KZ2 really that good? I am so looking forward to it!

I have played a few games online now, and I don't know whether its because I have plowed so much time into CoD4, but I am not feeling it tbh. It takes far too much ammo to kill someone.......which might be nitpicking to some, but its a game breaker for me. EDIT: To join a clan, go to community, then clans, then invites, then accept invite.

You only get XP from Ranked games. If you play in one of the searched custom rooms, then you will not get XP.

Just completed it tonight. Wow.....it certainly does get better. The last few levels were breathtaking. Gonna hit the online now.....with bells on. p.s Joined your N-Europe clan Flameboy, Co-op tomorrow? Then maybe a bit of competitive?
