  1. OBJECTION! (Tried to put the image in the post but didn't know how to so just linked to the site, but can anyone tell me how for future? Thanks in advance )
  2. Really looking forward to seeing how this game does in reviews, it won't influence my decision as I'll probably buy it anyway but I just want to see how the bikes are and everything. MK: DD did get a lot of criticism, but I still loved it and the only thing I didn't enjoy about the game was just how slow it was! Damn, make this game a good deal faster then DD and I''d be ecstatic!
  3. Yup, 9/10 is perfect, now just need to get practicing!
  4. The stuff I've highlighted above I find particularly interesting, pretty good one this week I must say.
  5. European Halo 3 Tournament is go! (Sponsored by Samsung). "I'm proud to bring you news of the Official Halo 3 European Tournament Sponsored By Samsung TV! This Tournament, which opens for registration TODAY, will pit the greatest Halo 3 players in 14 European countries against each other, with the ultimate winner scooping a beautiful new 40" Samsung Series 6 FHD TV, an Xbox 360 Elite console and a faceplate signed by the team at Bungie! The Tournament will be open to Halo 3 players with Xbox LIVE Gold in the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Austria and Switzerland. Here's how it works: 1. Registration opens on Monday February 25 (today!). You can find more details and terms and conditions for the Tournament at Xbox.com. 2. To register all you need to do is download the exclusive Official Halo 3 European Tournament Sponsored by Samsung GamerPics or Theme. They're free to download, and you can get them either from the 'New Arrivals' area on Marketplace or under 'Samsung' in the Themes and GamerPics area. You'll also see adverts pop up on your Dash for them later today/tomorrow. 3. Tournament play begins on March 18. You'll see a playlist arrive on Halo 3 called Intl Tournament. Registered players can then begin to rack up their ranking points in this playlist. 4. Registration will close on March 23. 5. Then playlist play will close on March 30. At this point the top player from each European country will be crowned National Halo 3 Champion and rewarded with a framed piece of exclusive Halo 3 artwork. 6. All 14 finalists will then clash in a one-off final over Xbox LIVE on April 17, with the overall winner being crowned European Halo 3 Champion and winning a 40" Samsung Series 6 FHD TV, a brand new Xbox 360 Elite console and a faceplate signed by the team at Bungie"! Seems pretty cool, might give it a go even if I have no chance of winning
  6. I really don't see how it can take this long, Sony and Microsoft all seem to have much faster translation times for their games and usually release their games close enough to each other worldwide datewise, yet Nintendo always screw Europe over like this!
  7. Thats me, just added some people from here, if thats ok?
  8. "It's a very interesting and frustrating thing for me to experience because I have been banging the drum about social gaming for a long time, with SingStar, EyeToy and Buzz. And our Japanese colleagues said that there is no such thing as social gaming in Japan - people do not play games on the same sofa together in each other's homes. It will never happen. And then out comes the Wii". (Taken from Kotaku)
  9. Its alright, I'm usually quite good at Halo so we should be fine, though I am going through a rough patch right now. Next time you're on Live give me a shout, can get a bit of practice in.
  10. ( Wasn't sure where to put this, so feel free to move it or close it if its irrelevant ) http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/080224/20080224005062.html?.v=1 REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Arts Inc. (“EA”) (NASDAQ: ERTS - News) today announced that it has proposed to acquire Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (“Take-Two”) (NASDAQ: TTWO - News) in an all-cash merger valued at approximately $2.0 billion. EA’s proposal of $26 per share in cash represents a premium of 64 percent over Take-Two’s closing stock price on Feb. 15th, the last trading day before EA sent its revised proposal to Take-Two, and a 63 percent premium over Take-Two’s 30-day trailing average price over the thirty trading days ending on that date. EA’s proposal was contained in a letter sent on Feb. 19th by EA Chief Executive Officer John Riccitiello to Strauss Zelnick, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Take-Two. The Take-Two Board’s subsequent rejection of the EA proposal led to EA’s decision to release the letter and bring its proposal to the attention of all Take-Two shareholders. Mr. Riccitiello said today: “Our all-cash proposal is a unique opportunity for Take-Two shareholders to realize immediate value at a substantial premium, while creating long-term value for EA shareholders. Take-Two’s game designers would also benefit from EA’s financial resources, stable, game-focused management team, and strong global publishing capabilities.” The EA letter warned that further Take-Two delay in accepting EA’s proposal could prevent Take-Two’s shareholders and other constituents from realizing its benefits. “There can be no certainty that in the future EA or any other buyer would pay the same high premium we are offering today,” Mr. Riccitiello wrote. The letter added that timely completion of the proposed transaction would allow EA’s strong publishing and distribution network to positively impact the ongoing post-launch sales of GTA IV and support the new Take-Two titles scheduled for launch later in the year and during the holiday selling season. As noted in EA’s Feb. 19th letter, EA’s proposal is not conditioned on any financing requirement. It is, however, subject to certain customary conditions as set forth in the letter. EA’s $26 per share proposal is based on the current equity capitalization of Take-Two. Although EA indicated in the letter that its proposal was subject to negotiations commencing by Feb. 22nd, EA intends to keep its proposal open for the present to give Take-Two’s shareholders and Board of Directors further time to consider it. Woah..........really hope this doesn't happen, to be honest I don't even think Take 2 are worth this much, and I would prefer to see them stay independent really
  11. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Hot diggity damn, I love this movie My favorite of the three LOTR movies, thought they picked the cast quite well bar one or two exceptions, and the story really is told masterfully throughout, with amazing scenery and a beautiful musical score to boot. Doesn't come close to the books of course, and even though I wish they had put in a few more scenes that were in the book (Tom Bombadil!!!) it is still fantastic movie! Watched the Special Extended version, quite good but a bit miffed they had to break it up into two separate disks. 10/10.
  12. It ain't working for me either, and I'm not on AOL, but Eircom
  13. I have been offered them quite alot, hell I know at least 15 people in my year alone I could buy them off but I really don't want to try them thankfully
  14. Anyone know when LOST: Via Domus is coming out? Swear it wasn't for another while yet, but I seen some people playing it on XBL.
  15. I think McPhee is gone for the week-end, so sometime next week sounds good?
  16. Didn't see your post till now, woulda played if I had seen it. If anyone's up for a game tonight or anything just give me a shout, encase you need practice for the tourney!
  17. Looks really nice, reminds me quite a bit of Kirbi: Power Paintbrush, which was a fantastic game. Still don't have a clue how they can fit these games onto the Wii though, my memory is already full from the Virtual Console!
  18. Too be honest at this point I wouldn't be surprised, if it was coming out as early as March they would have announced it by now right? Personally I don't mind the date, I have way too many games coming up that I want to play to even think of taking Brawl into it!
  19. That sounds pretty good, just do this then?
  20. Well its a fantastic card for the price, but if you have a GTS you might aswell just hold out for a newer card to come out, not that much difference between then really. Think the 9800's are coming out soon enough right?
  21. Damn it, Celtic were so close to a win last night . No chance of us scoring two goals away, most I could see us holding out for is a draw tbh. Oh well, still proud that we made as far as we did, didn't really expect us to get past Barcelona anyway.
  22. Had a terrible day yesterday, had to get 4 Wisdom teeth out, so sore . So much blood aswell, a day later and my teeth are still bleeding though at a lesser rate. Only good thing about the day is my Graphics card finally arrived, the 8800GT!
  23. Wow it does look pretty cool, so many Locusts on screen at once!
  24. Fandango

    Wii Fit

I wonder how much weight you can actually lose just by using this?:P If you did it everyday I'd say it would be a good bit, if you did running and everything. I'll definitively get it anyway, but I'm getting it more for the Balance Board then anything, would love for some snow boarding games to come out on it!
