  1. SAVE THAT COPY FOR ME! By the time i get some money, the game may be sold out so save it for me please Can i have the hat too?
  2. Curses. Well we have been warned.
  3. Nah its just the easy thing to do, especially if you have a pessimistic view on life.
  4. LOL yeah that had to take time to write. Problem for me in this respect is that usually, these games come out over a nintendo console's lifespan, not right at the start. It's why we usually see only one iteration of said IP per console. The fact that these have come out so fast leaves me a little worried about what's left in the tank. Tapedeck mentioned this in a thread he created. Maybe nintendo have learned already and are getting the 'expected' stuff out of the way to make room for new IP's that fully take advantage of the Wii Remote. I dunno but I damn well hope that's the case. And you are so right about the 1 console thing. If i had a ps3, there isn't much i would buy. 360, initially presents an array of generic squad based shooter one after another. But the future brings lots of interesting titles that make me feel like im missing out. But you summed it up correctly so i will stop there regarding this. There is too much for me on the DS, most of which take long hrs to complete! They are a little on the costly side but meh, trading in my stuff seems to help. I GUESS we dont have it so bad compared to the past.
  5. Wait a minute. Is there a mario party game out on the Wii yet? If there isn't then i fear that there will be one soon, possibly announced at E3 as "something for the casuals"
  6. I was referring to both but Nintendo's competitors seem to be delivering when it comes to releases with a short period between releases. If there is a long wait, europe often sees improvementsm GT5 prologue for example. Even MGS4 is seeing a worldwide release, which is arguably the PS3's biggest draw. Heck its the sole reason im getting a PS3. Arguably nintendo's biggest release, at least this year, has had a very staggered lauch and we have yet to see it with a poor excuse to satiate us.
  7. Problem is, sometimes nintendo dont seem to learn from their mistakes, or at least dont seem to want to. The smash thing is the latest in a long line and is still happening now. Online is pretty unforgiveable. Luckily i havent experienced this fridge business but it will happen soon. DS is near faultless. Really I cant complain and dont want to. Still love my wii though.
  8. Bad idea. When you are getting chances and your star forward is missing these as if his life depended on it, you will realise it's because of the arrows. They dictate a player's condition, some talented players can play through it but not all the time, while average ones on red will play as if they are on steroids. Selecting the best team based on condition is important. Although this is based on of previous versions but should still hold true for this one. Reminds me of ISS64 and '98 where if you were fouled and but the ref didnt see it, then you checked the players conditiion, it had an angry face. Apparently, it would mean that your player was more inclined to pull a tackle that would get him sent off. Really wish it was still in the game
  9. Hmmm interesting...
  10. This link Click Me may allow you to get £5 off if you get it from dixons and used the code provided.
  11. When i get my next loan instalment, i think I will be getting a gun...
  12. ahahahaha Yeah I remember that moment. New underwear only for me? Also the dogs in the maze for resi 4 scared the crap out of me so one crashing through the window in resi 2 to me can be scary too, especially as back in the original, at that time you were only armed with a pistol. Also imagine if you were expecting the dog, only for it not to come. Nothing like scaring yourself when there is no danger. On another note, I really wish I could go back to the previous resi's even play the remakes and zero but really, when I played zero, I was falling asleep. Then I ran out of ammo against that scorpion boss Not fun. Would effectively have to replay the entire game. Ugh reminds me of those damn cockcroaches or w/e they were, all huddled in this room which had some items i really needed but got cut to shit before i could get them.
  13. Im confused. This looks similar to the WiiWare games the japanese are enjoying now but it seems a little different. Is it another 'Ware title, an expansion for it, or a whole new title with no bearin to said 'Ware game and being released in Disc format?
  14. I remember quite a few times getting the blue shell but somehow ending up in first place with said blue shell ready for when the computer would eventually catch up and try to overtake me. Reminds me of the few multiplayer times when i fired a blue shell up an opponents arse to eventually take the win Good times. Really makes me want to get this game now. Were there certain places where you would definitely get a blue shell becaus that route was a hidden shortcut or something?
  15. I resent this comment. I am flat out broke and have way too much work to do along with moving at the moment so me joining in the brawl fun would have been one of the worst ideas I have ever had...doesn't help ease the pain though
  16. Gah, Hellfire I hate the way that you are younger than me but sound so much wiser =( Do you spend ages coming up with these posts or do they just come to you as you type them.
  17. Ugh its so damn annoying. I still like Nintendo. I really really do. But the console just isn't enough for my needs. Damnit even though I don't have the time, I still want more. Gonna have to get a PS3 if I want to be truly satisfied as i will not miss out on MGS4 and my fave fighters. But must say that without this damn console, I could not play my fave Nintendo games. As Gaijin implied, no one makes games like them.
  18. Wanna trade for a box of magazines ranging from official playstation magazine to old school Nintendo Official Magazine from the 16 bit era? I really wanna burn them but my mum thinks I can possibly sell them in the future
  19. After reading this thread, I have gathered one major thing: I HAVE BEEN PLAYING THE MARIO KART GAMES THE WRONG WAY! I generally played it on my own as I my mates never really got into the game or I crushed them and they never wanted to lose again. But i did manage to play quite a few times in multiplayer at this party so i guess I experienced it at its best. That was 64. double dash i never owned as i didn't have a gc but i played it and because I played it alone, I pretty much hated it. Was impossible to leave your opponents. Used to do that with ease on 64 but damn rubber banding. And I just hated the whole gimmick with the kart switching. Because of the irritating 1 player experience, the friend who owned the game really disliked it and never wanted to do multiplayer. DS version I played a few times and got slaughtered by my mate, mainly because the comp would slam blue shells up my arse. In fact, i received two in ONE RACE! This has happened in the GP mode to making me come something like 3rd and making me come 2nd overall for that cup. Online takes forever to find opponents (if it did), and even when it did, they would generally leave when I took a lead. Generally don't have enough friends interested in mario kart, we always use to abuse pro evo or what ever fighter/shooter we had at hand. Gonna change that this time, especially if the online works well this time. No more irritating 1 player (which I haven't even finished in the DS version, may even trade it in for the wii version).
  20. But look at sega of late making bile after bile and most of the good games that have come from them, are stuff they have published but aren't developed in house e.g. Football Manager 200X and others for which I just cant remember right now. I know what you mean though. Maybe its an age thing or however long we have been playing nintendo's games but there seems to come a time where it's hard to deal with their policies and ways of doing things. I liked them since the 16 bit but i joined that party late. When I got a '64 though, with Mario 64 I was amazed by the graphics. Will never forget it. But then I learned of how they seem to love neglecting us. Waiting forever for some games, others just not getting released (custom robo anyone?). Then the gamecube era was so horrible I didn't even buy one. Playing smash at my mates house, and even borrowing it from him for awhile was enough for me, along with my PS2. Now with the Wii, I and many others are left languishing in hell wondering when smash will see a release date over here and also wondering where the next hardcore that will truly interest me will be released on the wii. I am not even gonna start on the friend code or fridge stuff. I love you Nintendo, but damn you try my patience.
  21. Lol im loved? That's awesome! Wait a min...this is buy guys...you can take that love back... J/k yeah i know you mean the game which is Def Jam. I have mates that have judged the game immediately as crap without having played a single game of smash, based solely on the fact that it's a fighting game.
  22. N-Europe :P but seriously none as I realised what a huge whole they were creating in my wallet. Used to get EDGE, Computer And Video Games, and Gamesmaster.
  23. Even if they did hurry, we would not see it to quarter 4 probably, maybe even next year with japan and america getting priority
  24. Nice but those graphics look like 360 to me. Also top spin left a sour taste in my mouth as I played it on the PC and when i reached the last few matches of the game, the CPU became a monster who would return the hardest shots with match winning ones of their own. Didn't like the way my fingers were hurting after i had won a match with one of those beasts and I was using an official PS2 pad as well.
  25. Probably because of Pit's spontaneous addition to smash bros brawl. If consumers like him in that game, they may want to know more of him, and what better way to do that than produce a game that allows them to play as their new fave character. It's a subtle but perfect way ressurect the franchise. Plus the gameboy game (only one i played) was awesome and deserves a follow up.
