  1. I Robot Enjoyable Sci-Fi action romp. Standard stuff. Not much more to say really. 7/10 The Fly Stayed up to watch this film again. A harrowing tale of a gifted scientist, who believes in his invention to much, and it ends up ruining him. Would also like to note that it is the most disgusting film I have ever seen. More disgusting than all the SAW and Hostel films combined. This film gave me nightmares in the past but my god it is brilliant. P.S. I find that this film still impacts me in a way that I feel that I am gonna see a 6ft bug man around each dark corner of my house. Definitely sleeping with the lights on today. 9/10
  2. Can't shake the feeling that the 360 is hell spawn sent to earth in disguise. I would get one, but damn i need to play MGS4. Plus what good console constantly threatens you with something called the red ring of death (actually its not a console but PCs with their blue screen of death, dare I say an old friend I havent seen in awhile ). Anyways just won this: Will play it at night with the lights off for mucho scare factor
  3. Big trouble in little china town One of those films from your childhood that you remember as being great, but then when you see it again years later, you realise nostalgia has been clouding your judgement. Sad to say, but it is an awful awful film. Possibly so awful that its great? Hmm not today. For my childhood's sake I will be generous. 5/10 Sin City Love it and as someone said earlier, you notice new little things every time you watch it. Love the bit where marv is checking his inventory: "My mits" Bit with Sid Owen can 'occasionaly drag' but miko and bennicio del tores' characters are so entertaining. AH too much good stuff to talk about in this film so I stop here. 9/10 Underworld Decent film, but every time I watch it, the new stuff I am noticing is actually huge plot holes and concepts that just seem to have been totally glossed over. UV LIGHT in LIQUID form?! What the hell?! Vampire Countess that was in charge while Marcus slept was absolutely lame. How the hell did the covent survive when she took over i will never know. How the hell the vamps survived and seemed to dominate over the werewolves again I will never know as they seem to have intelligence, but the strength factor was well in favour for the wolves. 5.5/10
  4. Well hot damn that was a game on my virtual list that i keep forgetting to write down. Thanks for that. Fable was awesome. Played the version with extra bits on the PC. Love the stone wall that had a name from the letters T H I S. You can imagine, knowing the game was humurous, what I initially spelt. The wall wasn't happy lol. To the Ebay!
  5. Yeah giving my second hand xbox some love now that its dead and you can't even trade the games in. Prices have plummeted and I can get some classics that I missed out on first time round. Next is doom 3 if someone starts selling them for proper prices on ebay.
  6. LMFAO was gonna post something like this but I thought the sonic stuff was worse. But this has brought it all back. Also games like super puyo pop and doctor robotniks mean bean machine. The voice of the protaganist in puyo pop on the ps2 was so grating, it felt like someone was scratching their nails down a blackboard.
  7. Hmm I have nothing so epic. Just won this on ebay: Now trying to get ICO, F-Zero GX, Tales of symphonia and ZOE 2nd runner all for less than £10 each. Did with Panzer which is a rare game so hopefully i can do the same with these ones. May have to stretch that for ZOE though as its so damn rare.
  8. Hajime no Ippo is the ultimate sports anime. Boxing at its most dramatic with glourious animation thrown in, but kept to reality with no 'megaton hammer spirit ball giga punch!' anywhere. Authentic stuff like the Dempsey Roll. And it has the best cast of anime characters that i have ever seen.
  9. Got bored and nearly fell asleep. EDIT: Enjoyed all the saw films. Probably because of the gore. But mainly the intelligence that went into the contraptions and I really liked the twists. Didn't see some of them coming, though others were blindingly obvious. EDIT2: Damnit how could I forget 'The Fly'. Awesome film but one of the most disgusting that I have ever seen. Really not one for the faint of heart. Another that scared the hell out of me when i was a kid.
  10. What the hell have you done to it?! I have dropped mine countless times and it works perfectly.
  11. Doesn't it just allow for people to install homebrew content like emulators and also download and run psp games from memory sticks?
  12. SF3 OST is gold. Makes me want to get the game again.
  13. SAME! Hope it helps that you are not alone. May have to go back to london to get it because its just so painful without it
  14. How many here have actually watched season 2 already because some of the stuff you say...ugh well i dont want to ruin it for you. Just be prepared to be a little surprised.
  15. SAW isn't horror. Scream isn't horror. Blair Witch isn't horrow. The last two really go into the thriller genre while im starting to think that they should just put SAW into another Genre called 'pure gore' or something. Blair witch put me to sleep, films like scream are comedies and SAW, because some of it is so out there and unrealistic, doesn't really have an affect on me. It's just like, wow, how stupid can we make people look. I do enjoy this film though as people do pay for being idiots. Usually in horror, other people pay for someone else's stupidity. Anyone who has said The Thing diserves cookies as that is true horror. Not knowing who is friend or foe, until it's too late when The Thing shows itself, and you know you are in for a chomping. Love that film. Ring (not THE ring, horribly boring american remake) is awesome too because it has the perfect pacing, and is so creepy, its chills. I find that I can't be scared, but chilled due to odd unusual character movements or situations. When I was a kid, i watched stuff like Hellraiser, Jaws and the lost boys and found them amusing because i didn't understand the situations. In truth, it desensitised me to violence, know where I can see a flying leg and find someone humour in there. Kill Bill 1 is one of the funniest films i have ever seen. I was laughing to the horror of my sis and bro and probably the people behind me, in the cinema. Horror these days, almost doesn't exist imo. It's just pure gore, or 3d graphics which still don't sell the experience like the good old animatronics did in the 80s and early 90s. Alien and Aliens scared the hell out of me when I was a kid for just the way they looked so real. The only stuff to do that really. When their radars would pick up the presence of the enemy, only for nothing to happen, then they realise they maybe on the ceiling, lookup, PEEKABOO! I can still remember the chill factor to this day, turning the tv off, and forcing myself to sleep. A film which almost no one has seen deserves a mention, 'In the Mouth of Madness'. Horror and mindfuck all wrapped in one, with an ending that leaves saying 'what the hell!?' Oh and east asia definitely knows how to do horror. American remakes do them no justice and just sully the name. Watch Oldboy for a different sort of horror. So disturbing, my sister called me sick for recommending that film to her
  16. Blasphemy! Take it back! But seriously, if you have tried it and didn't like it then fair game. Each to their own I guess.
  17. Hiro and Parkman have to be the best characters. Especially parkman this season. The actor for Parkman, actually auditioned for the role of Peter but was turned down as, honestly, the directors said he didn't look like their peter. Series 2 is really cool, although I had the annoying feeling that it was rushed and reminded me of a short story rather than an epic, but that's obviously due to the strike.
  18. Get a Ds/DS Lite
  19. the bleach anime had nearly caught up the manga so this was bound to happen. the bleach animators aren't the masters of dragging out the story like the naruto animators. THere is a big gap there, yet they still add in filler, which is confusing, unless it is there to flesh out some characters more.
  20. you should try reading the eva manga. Not as much of a mind fuck (although I havent seen all of eva, just the old movies and the last episode which hurt my head) and some bits have been changed for the better. There is also an eva manga set in a similar universe but it seems to be more a high school drama. Not bothered to check that out...yet. Back to naruto just skimmed through the shippuden movie and I swear that he conjures a fricking spirit bomb. Really need some subs to tell what the hell is going on. And wish i watched the beck that I downloaded as I want to be a better person too =/
  21. QFT and FIXED
  22. Seriously do it. The story is so awesome, especially the final twist. And then the game itself is super fun too. EDIT: I really think that I did complete the first one. Why is it so hard to remember how it ended?
  23. I bought this over NMH and Mario Galaxy
  24. Got the same phone and am on a O2 contract where i get something like 500 texts and 1800 mins although i only get access to my mins after 7pm. £30 a month and the phone is epic. Dropped it so many times but it just keeps working perfectly.
  25. I think whats really annoying is that after all the time that naruto spent with jiraiya, there is really nothing that immediately shouts that he spent time with a sannin. It's possible that naruto just upped his strength and stamina immensely, which, if i remember correctly, jiraiya said he should do rather than learning pointless jutsu. Also, I do believe that there was a 'that jutsu' which naruto was told not to use by Jiraiya, and if it wasn't the kyuubi that Jiraiya was referring to, then it means that the technique still hasn't been used. Either way, its disappointing that Naruto isn't a young Jiraiya
