I sort of like the original Halo plot for the specific reason it didn't really get in the way: I'm fighting aliens on a super weapon infested with zombies, and it's a race against time. That's all I really have to know, and as soon as the base premise is established it slips behind the scenes and doesn't get in the way of the action, which is more then can be said for most games. Halo 2 and 3, for example. Specifically the giant-psychic-plant-thing. What was even the point in it? It barely had any relevance to the plot.

I'd love it if they did something a little more concrete with the rabbids then just minigames. A spoof Ghost Recon game where Cpt Mitchell and team have to fight off the rabbid invasion, or something.

Tried out the multiplayer, not spectacular but there is something to be said for sending hapless rivals cartwheeling over the bonnet. Look, listen, live kids.

Oh christ no, my best defender out for the rest of the season and all I got for my trouble was a draw. I'm simply have to win the next game. Oh shit, I've just realised both my best defender are out until seasons end, so I'm sailing into the next game with a B-team back four and no substitutes for them.

I need to write about a dozen or so fiction stories of varying lengths by about this time next month. Having to go back home in a couple of weeks isn't going to help either. All of a sudden I'm regretting spending all year exploring poetry. Well, not really. Into the breach once more, dear friends.

I think I'm starting to warm up to this after watching the Gametrailers review. I think the improved shooting basically solves my one major gripe with the game.

Resident Evil is going on the list until someone tells me in a single, succinct sentence why on earth Wesker is quite so determined to become the worlds biggest bastard through the medium of zombie. And I still don't know who the fuck Krauser is. Also story lines for arcade beat-em-ups, a' la DoA, Tekken etc. Why even bother? They come in exactly two flavours: evil corporations and mystical artefacts, and typically a couple of the characters are affiliated with each. Why the evil and mysticism? Nobody knows, they just are. Also, MGS2. I mean MGS didn't really get away it to be honest, but Jesus H Christ.

I'm an ardent Lib Dem, so I'd probably vote for Brian Paddick and I'd settle for Ken Livingston. Boris Johnson meanwhile is frankly the last person I'd want to see on my TV in the event of a terroist bombing. Sure he's funny, but I have rather serious doubts about his professionalism, competancy and intelligence.
