  1. It definitely lends itself to a much more aggressive style of play in comparison with the Inbrush. I'd hit the front lines and stay at the fore using my beacons, getting good coverage and splatting well, forcing the enemy backwards. I like a couple Ink Saver Main items of clothing with it, it really does chew through ink otherwise. With the Inkbrush I prefer to hang back slightly and focus on covering turf but then also using it's speed and manoeuvrability to flank and hit the enemy from blind spots/cause them to pull back to reclaim turf. I use a couple Inkling Run Speed Increase items of clothing with it so I'm in and out quickly.
  2. @Rummy have you given the new brush a run-out? If so, what did you think of it? I gave it a blast over the weekend and quite liked it. It's not quite as good for coverage but it's probably more deadly on the splat. I did find I'd need two items of clothing with the main perk as Ink Saver Main though.
  3. It has a good combat system, that I do agree with, but I really do need to be interested in the game for me to care to play it intently. Because I don't care for the characters and story I'm not driven to play it and concentrate. I just don't think it's for me.
  4. I'm on Act IV on Bayonetta 1 and I'm simply not enjoying the game at all. The problem is the crap story, crap characters and because of that I've just no care in getting good trophies. If the story and characters were interesting it'd make me want to play the game more concisely and with interest, but because I hate them so much I just can't be bothered trying in battle. As a result I don't think this is a patch on W101, which had likeable characters and a funny enough story to keep me interested whilst playing. I think I'm not going to trade both 1 & 2 in without bothering finishing them.
  5. It's not just realism and high end graphics though. Some of the CoD and Battlfield games are the best multiplayer games I've ever played. Battlefield being my all-time favourite multiplayer. The gameplay in those games is great too, you can't write that off... unless you're talking about more recent CoDs as they've lost their shine I feel.
  6. I loved that episode!
  7. @Sheikah and @Ashley, very well put, exactly my thoughts on each point.
  8. @Ronnie, I posted a few posts earlier in regards to what I think they should do with the NX. I just think they shouldn't release it too soon and they should ride out the WiiU longer than it seems they're going to.
  9. I think releasing any console mid-gen will be a huge mistake from Nintendo right now. They need to ride out the WiiU a little longer. They should give it a Party Chat system, that'd give it the legs it needs for me.
  10. Surely you see where I'm coming from though? It makes the game so much more restrictive. It's basically making it a third of the game for 24hrs! Another problem with them is that they are during the weekend, which is the most likely time friends can get together and game. You might love them but there's no denying it's silly design! It really does do, 2 mains of Ink Saver Main perk are needed with it.
  11. These Splatfests are awful. They force you into one game mode, stop you from playing with friends and are even more lag-filled than normal games! Poor game design by Nintendo at work here, very poor design!
  12. I'm asking for a decent online infrastructure and features, architecture similar to the other consoles (not necessarily power, but it has to be in the same ball-park) and aired open attitude toward online within their own games.
  13. This looks great, I didn't own SF4 long before my 360 red-ringed and packed in so I'm looking forward to digging into this one and getting some decent game-time out of it.
  14. It's still so heartbreaking
  15. A new brush!!!! Awesome, I'm looking forward to giving it a run-out!
  16. Apocalypse looks awful! Really, really bad! Dishearteningly so!
  17. After reading a few more impressions I agree, it sounds awful!
  18. Good shout ...done. Exchanged for a quick botch-job. It was just an oversight, it hadn't registered, sorry if it offended anyone.
  19. Whoever is to get the job, I hope they have a more forward thinking attitude towards social gaming and online. Online isn't just about playing with strangers, online is also about playing with friends when you can't play locally... Nintendo seem to have not grasped this as of yet. They have to keep Nintendo's mantra of making games fun first and foremost but they should be more open to narrative-driven experiences and realise the need to diversify the catalogue of games they're releasing. Someone more reciprocative of 3rd Parties needs. I think they need someone from a more recent generation within the industry, one who better understands the gaming world of today but still has that core essence of Nintendo in their heart.
  20. If anything, it would only be the multiplayer I'd be interested in.
  21. Classic Nintendo backwardness on show there.
  22. Sorry I didn't see the @ guys. Glad you had a full group though!
  23. Woah, hadn't realised his ill health was so serious. RIP!
  24. Looks awesome, so damn awesome!
  25. One thing I can say for sure, after having done it twice now, is don't play Splatoon drunk... it's really bad for doing well! Haha
