..golden goal seems harsh perhaps I think.. Maybe you could start a deciding game and allow each player to have a super/megastrike (whatever) at each others goal. Whoever scores the most goals from their strike go through...? I think a deciding game is best option though..

Maybe this is unlikely, but not impossible- if two teams are tied after 2 legs in the knockout stages (away goals and everything), what happens? Do they play a deciding game at a neutral venue?

..winner should get a trophy to put in their signature and have the little bit below their name changed to Mario Strikers Champion or something

..yeh.. the 'away' captain is a good idea to use when it is necessary! ..maybe everyone could a picture of their captain as their avatar on here or in their signature so people can see easily? Just a thought.. With experience of the Winning Eleven DS tournament (which came to a halt for some reason ) I can say that I think that posting the scores would be fine without pictures as there were never any arguments in the WE League.

Systems Applications for me tomorrow.. 9.30am ..been to 3 lectures all semester and couldn't concentrate during them anyway. Pretty lousy lecturer.. It'll certainly be an interesting one..

I think an analogue stick on the remote would make it look more complicated and perhaps put people off.. and maybe wouldn't work so great when the remote is turned sideways for games.. As for that thing you just posted, I dont think it would be any help at all.. if anything, it would probably be worse. You've also got to look at other games (like Mario Strikers and Excite Truck for instance) which use the D-Pad as a button. The analogue stick probably wouldn't feel as good.. In the context of this game, it's not toatally horrendous and you can get used to it easy enough. The minus button centres the camera behind you when you need it anyway. Also, I was having trouble putting the game down.. I kept saying I'll go after the next save fountain.. for about 4 times

I got this today from my girlfriend (as some of you will probably know ) and first impressions are pretty good. I have opened up the prehistoric place and done quite a few missions so far in the first area (haven't paid attention to names yet really ) As with most games, I don't really give a stuff about the story. I have watched the 'cut scenes' but I don't really care. I can see the game getting better and better as I go along so.. yeh.. haven't been frustrated yet

..well.. I got this today for my birthday (a present from my girl's parents!) It took a couple of minutes to get used to after being used to the Prince of Persia games on the GC but I have to say- I love it so far. I hadn't played Two Thrones so retreading old ground wasn't a problem for me. I have Sands of Time and Warrior Within and, if anything, I'm glad of the new controls to add a bit of freshness to it for me, a bit of a change and I genuinly love it- Going in for stealth kills and ramming your sword into the enemy.. or jamming your knife into the wall to stop yourself from falling. A stick would have been nice for camera control, sure.. but I'm getting to grips with using the D-Pad for that and even twisting the remote is feeling quite natural now as I walk round corners etc.. the camera is most definitely not game-ruining. If anyone hasn't played Two Thrones/Rival swords and was maybe put off by comments and reviews then I would suggest maybe having a rethink, especially if you like the previous games!

I got Excite Truck from Play.com on the day of release even though it said it was posted the day before : peace: What I was just wondering was that since I have preordered there, does it guarantee me one? Would they stop taking preorders when all the games have been ordered or would they continue to take them for when they get more back in stock? I'm just curious as I would like to be starting the tournament with you guys instead of waiting around

Status: Preordered ..will that mean I'm assured of getting a copy then? Play.com by the way..

Hey! Thanks a lot guys, and to flameboy for starting the thread.. (though.. legend? Hardly ) Got some great stuff from my girlfriend and her family. I can't get at the TV yet because me mum is watching Deal or No Deal.. so I'm on here for a minute. Here's what I got : Catherine (My Buttons are Magic/ magicbuttons to you people) got me Sonic and the Secret Rings, a case for my DS Lite so I can carry my games around with me wherever I go without having to bring all the boxes! Isn't she great to me ..but wait.. there's even more! She got me a Northern Ireland shirt AND shorts for me which is just brilliant and will be getting a lot of wear during the summer months! And when I went to see her today she had cake, muffins and browines waiting for me which she had baked herself! She's unreal.. you're a wee gem and I love you very much Thank you! ..as if that wasn't enough, Catherine's parents got me Prince of Persia: Rival Swords which is great because I never played Two Thrones and I love the Prince of Persia games (particularly Sands of Time). Thanks to them also : peace: Got a little money from a couple of my relatives and my brother gave me the money to get Mario Stikers Charged Football, so I should be able to join in the tournament! (The game is released the day after my last exam ) On top of all this, games I thought had been lost in the post from January were uncovered by my uncle next door this morning as they had been shoved in somewhere by the postman and could easily have been damaged or never found! The idiot! ..one of those games was my girl's favourite PS1 game Ape Escape, so it's a happy day for both of us (but especially me!). One of the games is Operation Winback (which I bought again after I thought it was lost) so, Stevie it's yours if you want it :wink: Having a great day. Thanks everyone!
