  1. My family never goes anywhere anymore. We've been to Florida "a lot" of times relative to most I guess, but I love it and so am still having withdrawl symptoms/whatever. Haven't been since 07. We go to Orkney every year. *waves tiny flag* Fact is Edinburgh is one of the nicest places I've been to in the UK and I live there so... I wanna go to places overseas and explore their culture and stuff. My family never do that, I always go to places in Europe etc with friends or school and uni trips.

    Björk

Lest we al forget Bjork's roots - The Sugarcubes don't hold a candle to her solo work, but are often v. entertaining. Seems their first is their only solid full album but the singles from the other 2 are good too. "Hit" was covered by Diana Vickers on her album. :s
  3. Don't recommend Invincible to Bard, ReZ, he mentioned he liked short things/things with an endpoint. :/ Plus he already WON by saying he's reading Grant Morrison. So...there's not much better he can go. :p

    Lady Gaga

Her lyrics are really clumsy. And "capital HIM" refers to God (or His Infernal Majesty - Satan, if you're a reader of Vigilanrt Citizen, or a believer in the theory that pop sluts are actually tools of the Illuminati elite in powwe over the music industry... *genuinely what some people think* ). "It doesn't matter if you love hm" - doesn't matter if you're gay "or capital HIM" - or love god (as though the two are mutually exclusive...). Oy.

I'm unsure how this is double-standards. Obviously referring to my opinions of things like Sucker Punch, but dunno why...

I had SO MUCH FUN at this tonight! Better than I expected by far. The entire last act had me open-mouthed, smiling in disbelief. [/only a slight exaggeration] So great. If you love the series, you'll love this. I was prepared for it to be shit though, and it really wasn't.

    Lady Gaga

--- Apparently this is the official album cover. I HOPE it's fake. It's been "reported" though (by Perez Hilton *vomit* who I think is a friend of hers or something). I hope this is a filthy, horrible lie.

    Björk

ALMOST. My one is from Toronto, 7/8/95. Seems to be same tour, so same performance style I guess. The Toronto one has a bit where she shouts "IT TAKES COURAGE!" *silence/crowd cheers* "To enjoy it.." and then literally BELTS the next chorus. Too good for me.

    Lady Gaga

I like the production I hear so far from this album. 90's-influence is always welcome. Of course Roisin Murphy did it first, but it's fine. GaGa steals from Murphy all the time. Boring song overall though.
  10. Yeah... [/no more to add to the situation. Leaves.]

    Björk

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life. There's "THE" live version of Big Time Sensuality I've shared with Chair and pt.3 of our group (not on this forum) and I listened to it (I'm back in a Bjork mood recently) today. It never fails to make me smile...not sure it's on Youtube though. It's so powerful, backed by just a little organ/pipe thing, and her being TOO loud. It's soo good. This version comes a close second. It's one of *those* performances you never forget.
  12. Saw it. Was better than I expected. Definitely did it's own thing. Owed a lot to other films/I've seen the same story done many times in essence, but it was good. Some REALLY cool visuals. I loved the disorientating forever-zoom things. Like I wanted a seatbelt, I was being so thrown. I'm incredibly dubious about Abbie Cornish's character. She was both underdeveloped and questionable generally...is it just me or was the token female completely...unfair? As a representation fo women? She kept going back to him! So stupid. They tried to paint her as this foward thinking businesswoman type (she even had her own action sequence that was lol/I liked it) but then kinda kill the character. Kinda brought it all back to it's shit-action-film roots needlessly. However I liked a lot of what the film did, a cut above the rest of a similar ilk. Nothing amazing, nothing BAD-bad.
  13. Heard of Faora, but the ultimate Kryptonian villains for me will always be Jax-Ur and Mala. <3 Too direct.
  14. I've known all my life I was very mildly allergic (as it just made my skin go red, then go away) to Elastoplast/most plasters, and ominously "some antibiotics" (my mum knew what though. Eryhtrymycin or summin). And of course now my concern is what was detailed in THIS immortal thread, and is what means I have to carry an Epipen and allergy tablets with me at all times. It's some random wheat preservative that is randomly in some things but not in others, and it's inconsistant. It's happened a lot with takeaway Pizza (I've reacted - purely skin, i.e one tiny bump, then goes away), but never Pizza Express pizza etc. And once randomly after Burger King, but not since. Then the other day I got another little lump after walking home (it occurs after exercise of any kind) but I just ate what I eat everyday for lunch, a panini...random. Upside is I can't die from this aller
  15. She said "Get in and set the satnav to hell."
  16. I hope to end.
  17. Rot in hell, cun' --- I have 550 points. I can't find anywhere that tells me what I can actually redeem them for though./ "how much" things are.
  18. I wish to end. Let me check my point balance first though. TBF I spent a horrid amount going to see Sucker Punch. I think they should gimme double points for even going to that shyt.
  19. I understand wanting to see films more based on who's in them, but assuming something will be good based on who's in it is something else entirely. :p Might be seeing this tonight avec un future flatmate as we're borednd everyone in our lives has gone home for easter except us. Am actually prepared to let this completely bypass me but I have points saved up on my Premier Card so will get money off the ticket (I think).

I haven't looked at reviews other than ones from people who've seen it saying it was a return to form. I'm so excited. I'm more excited about seeing this than going home to see my family I haven't seen in ages. Ideally I would've watched 2 and 3 again (I watched 1 in Uni for a lol cause the tutor never showed up) but I revised the synopsis of the last one and I've seen Scream 2 tonnes so know it inside out.
  21. I love! What you would do.
  22. I love the one watching the couple sleep.
  23. That looks entirely fake...surely she'd have to be strapped in to be safe in that thing? Funny that she did it...I like that she doesn't take herself too seriously.
  24. Was looking into the 3DS yesterday - for some reason I hadn't seen any game footage other than Nintendogs - I assued the games would just be slightly more graphically-souped up DS games, but they're proper games with proper graphics. Intriguing. That said, I can't justify buying one as I buy at most 1 DS game every year, and usually less than that.
