The more I listen to it, the more I agree with killthenet's assertion that Fashion of his Love is (one of) the best song(s she's ever done). It's not rife with her typical quie obtuse/clumsy lyrics, and is just a direct, perfectly formed pop song, that owes a lot to songs like I Wanna Dance With Somebody in sound, and Dress You Up by Madonna in content. Brill.

Scheiße won't be a single - too weird for radio I think. Marry The Night should've been second single. Then Edge of Glory. Judas I like now (I was ambivalent before) but it's just not single-y. Maybe as a 4th single, but not 2nd.

One I was previously undecided over that I now really enjoy - Highway Unicorn One I appreciate more now, not sure if I love it though - Americano* One that is still blah/nothing - Bad Kids One that is bad/not good/ruins the feel - The Queen *read a description on another forum of someone's reaction to this song, went something like; I love so much. As a description. Volver wannabe.
  4. I love so much. The first one really hits home the point - the unposed woman - she looks real! Like a real person, and not an imaginary black and white person from 'the past'. Wow.
  5. I love these! I enjoyed. ReZ just do what you're good at. Comedy Rainbow actually takes away your natural humour completely. It's a piece of shit. Sorry. ReZDaily is urrthing.

Yeah I love Marry The Night. It is the most obvious single actually (after BTW and EOG), far more than Judas. I heard the Scheiße remix but had to do something/got bored since it wasn't different enough. Or something. I also thought it was 'on a single bed' too! That's more stunning.
  7. ^ Yes. RedOne! Colby! To-Ri!
  8. My pictures would be me - 1 Feeling and looking ill. 2 The above, but out of bed and on the computer. 3 Still ill, but making lunch and the awkward/stony silence between me and a flatmate in the kitchen. 4 See 2 5 See 2 (Watching Showgirls) 6 See 2 (Watching City of God)

My CD came with a Born This Way remix. Ruins the feel, but then again I'm never going to listen to it/might delete it off iTunes. And since Chair pointed out that Highway Unicorn (Road To Love) feels like a tribute to Robot Unicorn Attack, I can't not associate the two. Sounds like it's paying homage to Alway by Erasure (aka the RUA theme) slightly. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions. :p Ride ride pony ride ride We can be strong we can be strong Follow that unicorn! On the road to love!
  10. I say he should keep using it. It's a stunning use of language, since it makes you consider/wonder what he's implying by the parenthesis.
  11. I don't get it. Damien Wayne is the best damn thing. As are Batman And Son, Batman R.I.P, Final Crisis etc etc. You find much else like it in comics.
  12. I want that sig. E'rrone knows Starmie is my best damn thing. <3
  13. This is sick. Chair texted me asking me to make the Bday thread but I was already in bed/didn't know/I'm ill. ---- Oh well. Happy Birthday John. I hope now you're no longer a teen you can finally begin your youth novel.
  14. Oh wow you're 17? So young.
  15. Supergirl by Peter David is also stunning. Not even about anything you'd associate with the super-family in any way. Don't think you see or hear a word about space at all. And Superman appears for a second, and is done well. The first/only(?) trade of the series collects the essential first story. I bring this series up every few months, but only cause no one ever bothers to read it. It's nothing to do with the current Supergirl btw. It deals with spirituality, occultism, psychosis, human nature, blah.

Just Dance did grow on me, it's a perfectly fine dance pop song, and a lot better than it's equivalents recently in the charts. It's not, however, good enough, and that kinda song was what stopped me from liking her as much as I do now back when she first started. Felt too banal compared to what she looked like/talked about. Now all elements seem to be even in interest. In a recent interview (you have to buy some supplement to fully read it, but it'll be online soon I'm sure) she's asked what she doesn't like about her work. She says she wouldn't skip any of The Fame Monster but dislikes Telephone for personal reasons, and she would skip Money Honey on The Fame (so would I...). Interesting. Nice to see someone be critical about their work (even a little). --- Black Jesus † Amen Fashion is so bizarre. I love making Jesus black AND a runway model. Of course?
  17. Worked like a charm. I was all like "Ameh Adams gitcho self back to oscar-worth roles... *silence*".

You're bad. This is what I wanted from Gaga The Brand so long ago - not fucking Just Dance! The best bits on this album remind me of my image of like...underground Berlin clubs where no one is allowed to speak, just to smoke and dance. The breakdown/"ew" bit in Judas, the "MAH HAAAIIRR" bits (i.e the only stunning bits) in Hair... yes. Take me to this imaginary club. I need some Scheiße remixes. Now. It's not quite dirty enough. It needs more dirt.
  19. Not really. If I smile at all during Comedy Rainbow I say so on here.
  20. The absolute worst. Awful Michael. Phil's bit was shit. Just don't have him in it and reduce the length. It wasn't even a joke or have any possibility of being funny.
  21. I love my dreams. And yeah, dreams aren't hard to understand if you just think about the,/the symbolism/what happnes/who's involved/what is in fact eating away at the back of your mind. Last night (in my dream) my friend missed/chose not see a film with "us" (being me and undisclosed others who clearly weren't relevant). We finished the film and found my friend kinda hurrying around, in his t-shirt, as though he was busy doing something. Happily he announced his exhibition was almost ready. We were like "Ok"/shrug and headed to the other end of the shopping centre (shopping centres feature in my dreams quite often) we were in to this really cool space - kinda a cheap-looking "blank gallery space" that ANYONE could book/show work at. Anyway people/shoppers (i.e not typical gallery goers) were already in the space, while my friend was still putting final touches to the space/his work. I remember the artwork was everyday things, often appliances, and were generally all white. However bits/parts of them would always be covered in the kinda shiny ribbon/paper you can use when wrapping presents. I remember thinking it was an intriguing aesthetic at first but then was kinda like "..." when it was mostly this one trick. Sometimes he'd physically manufactured a new part of something in a different colour, like a wii (or something like that) with a clear blue panel, like those old macs. The one I remember most clearly is this - I didn't hate it as a collection of work, but was at a loss as to what the work was trying to say. That was all I remember. This friend in question has no art background. But it's fairly obvious the art part of it was to do with me. The rest I can deduce. Dreams are so interesting. This friend in particular is clearly of importance...he affeck!ts me [/alanis morissette] quite strongly but I'm unsure why, or to what purpose or how. Both in dreams and reality.
  22. While I came to appreciate the joke of the cover above, I can't look at it on my iTunes, when the far superior Born This Way single art is there for the taking. So much nicer:

Everywhere (well both HMV and Sainsbury's) have deals on it. Apparently it's an order from the powers that be so it goes to Number 1/sells a million copies. Fashion Of His Love is very good yeah, definitely the only bonus track that doesn't have a bonus sheen to it. 80's/90's ftw. She's captured elements of that sound (late 80's/early 90's) on this album, while not directly "copying" it, which I like.
  25. Ok. That makes sense I guess. In competitive/tournament stuff, which I never take part in.
