  1. It doesn't scream "Jim Lee!" at me, but it's still good. The face of the person on the right is indicative of his style though.
  2. I dunno what it is about Jim Lee, he seems to be universally loved (me included). It's like if he draws a character, it's the definitive drawing of that character! But I sometimes like less literal, more impressionistic, loose art.
  3. I love his art. Esp Batman: Year One, and I personally love his Dark Knight stuff (I've only read Strikes Again though).
  4. Define "properly". fuc(k)unts, one and all.
  5. Prepare for "awkward pose, and old woman's haircut" me! I kinda hate, but yeah. At the Tate Modern.
  6. I was there with my sister the other day (Scots in London ftw! *waits for high five*), and although I'm not particularly against Rothko, I was not going to spend that much to see it, let alone drag my restless sister with me. I saw them for free in New York, and in the context they were in (dimly lit small room, low lighting on the images themselves), they were...nice, immersive. But I'm not exactly a fan. ---- Done not much all day. Gonna buy Bjorks new song off iTunes at some point, gonna see if I can get past the glitch in Batman Lego (for PC, actually really upsetting, spending 30 pounds, and to be trapped in the first chapter...). Learn more lines for my play.
  7. Maybe, but the fact is that I am in no way drawn to Green Lantern as a section fo DC in any way. I'm not a big fan of space wars/-based characters in the first place anyway. Unles it's normal people in space, in which case I orgasm everwhere (I.e Alien and Aliens). I just prefer stuff set on Earth in comics, or an equivalent. :/ I am sure it's good, since have several too many recommendations, but the source material just doesn't grab me at all.
  8. Yeah, seems like Schizophrenic to me, too.
  9. I guess I'm less informed, since I don't read any current comics, except the UK editions of Spidey, which are only just about to reach Civil War (which I already read, when it came out 2 years ago). Never been drawn to GL though, just personal preference...in DC, I prefer Batman ( ), JLA and JSA. (In general)
  10. It's not true. It just does more annoying stuff than DC.
  11. Got P!nk's album. It's not at all like So What, which could be a good thing. It's good though, a bit like the slower songs on Try This. Only half way through though.
  12. Batman Lego (PC) Fun, but really annoying me, as theres an obvious glitch in the Mr.Freeze Ice Cream factory, meaning I can't get past.
  13. The Beach Not seen it in ages. Nice cinematography, although alot of it could have done with fleshing out despite the running time already being satisfactory. 6/10
  14. Scary Movie 3 6.9/10 Not as good as the others (If I remember the 4th one correctly), but loads of good bits. I love the Scary Movie series, HATE all the other "...Movie" s.
  15. All the girls (+ Rachel and Ruth) are the best thing in the competition. My favourite is Rachel, not in terms of voice, but just because she actually knows what kinda music is listened to these days, and isn't afraid to not just play the dull ballads. She's the antithesis of Eogghjehn Quiggmire, or whatever his name is.
  16. I hate the fact I have Girls Aloud's new song in my head, The Promise (Just Promise?). Na na na na na make you love me Na na na na na na na na Promise na na Promise na na ----- In other news... There is a severe lack of good music down here. Or at least I'm not hearing it. I quite like Kaiser Chiefs new song, but not really. Christina Aguilera's new song is quite bad. ----- I heard Jennifer Hudson's single on the TV, and It just makes me hate the pop machine. I have that song she did in Dreamgirls, and it shows she has a very powerful voice, but of course she's lumped with a standard chart-position-winning RnB song to do. Not that I particularly care, but yeah. ----- Anyone else know Sugababes write their own stuff? News to me too. ---- Sorry, I watched T4 = pop music. :p
  17. I felt that I should point out that the new Uhura loves it.
  18. I have absolutely no idea why, but Sensitized by Kylie Minogue has been in my head for the last 4 days. I only know the opening line of the chorus, and that's whats in my head. I don't even like it as a song! Craziness. Currently listening to german songs of longing and yearning.
  19. Still down south, but at my lovely family friend's house. Actually hilarious spanish lolz everywhere. Bought a book full of naked people to draw from for art, bought American Doll Posse by Tori Amos...bought Othello (again), but with notes to help me understand it. Done nothing else worth talking about. *puts off finishing essay*
  20. Seeing Chicago on stage reminded me why it's so effing good. The music is just brilliant. Oh, I love my life And All That Jazz
  21. I'm in London, explaining my abscence. Saw Chicago, which was amazing! London shops aren't as interesting as one expects (I wasn't too concerned with the shops myself, but my sister was). The Tate Modern was interesting. Going to (Joy of joys...) Abercrombie and Fitch now. I was half-tempted to wear my customised "Aberzombies R Kool" t-shirt, but I thought against it. Blah blah blah..... I'd prefer to spend a zillion pounds on toilet paper than in there.
  22. What about me? I have beef to cook* with the Bible. *I have no idea what the actual saying is.
