  1. Yeah, I love how Coolness has a really good musical landscape to play with. Loads of great stuff on that list CB! I love that you described Tori Amos as solid gold, too! ---- Yeah...I mean, for a while back, I was in a craze for Madonna. I bought her late 80's albums (not interested in her early stff other than the singles) and all that...lierally for 3-4 weeks. But now, I'm over it already. Now she's just back to being an artists I have lots of music of, and that I like and won't skip in shuffle. I tend to get crazes on my favourite artists every so often, spanning from 1 night to several weeks. However, they're never forgotten about. Miley Cyrus' album was a rare case of having a craze on a new album, and one that isn't particularly deep as such.
  2. Lemon Jelly - 9 Maximum The Hormone - 1
  3. To pointlessly add to this, I personally have never got the "rubbing against sheets thing". Isn't it just really uncomfortable? Am I just odd? Unless you're on like...a bed made of purest silk and dove feathers...
  4. Videos fixed! I vote Lemon Jelly. MORE VOTES!
  5. I prefer Nintendo's style. In general. If the mariok art engine and weapons system etc, *everything* was replaced with gritty courses and beaten up cadillacs, with heard-nosed racers, It wouldn't have half the charm it does.
  6. I lol'd at this post. I felt I had to say that, as often "lol" just means I'm slightly amused. So I justified it in this instance. *fumbles toward ecstacy*
  7. General Teen Comedies (Filed under, but not exclusively "Girls") However, as stated, they are different kinds of film.
  8. Depends what music/albums one's listening to, to be honest. If the music endures or not. I have Circus too, but from the outset, I could tell it was very flash-in-the-pan. Most pop music is. It's boring as hell/cheap-sounding now.
  9. She looked very aggressive and particularly attractive no. Which is either just her face in that style (Rachale McAdams is hot in Red Eye with curly brown hair), or a excellent styling on her by the director or whatever.
  10. Though Clueless and Mean Girls are the only essential films of the genre, and they're both excellent, I never know which I prefer. Mean Girls is more outright funny, but I have more of an emotional response to Clueless. The last 20 minutes make me really depressed for some reason. Plus the satire and poking fun is much subtler. But it's different, not better or worse. ---- Dreamgirls 7/10 Jennifer Hudson was good in it, but I don't see an Oscar-worthy acting performance, unless they counted the songs and choreography, cause a lot of that involved "acting". She and Beyonce were astounding voice wise, and it was overall better than I thought. ---- *claps* Posted before I did, but yeah. I value your opinion on music and films, so I'm glad I saw the two as seperate too. ---- LOL! Haggis you reminded me how funny "Boo you whore." is.
  11. I feel this is an appropriate time to post this; Teen Horniness Is Not A Crime by Krysta Now (Sarah Michelle Gellar)
  12. "I'm (actually) going to stab someone." is a frequent Mario Kart one for me. Often heard on Rainbow Road. OR "I'm (actually) going to stab Birdo's mum and other loved ones." Which I try not to shout as much.
  13. Maybe...I just hear it as the most "throwaway" (to use that word lightly) track on the album. I'd prefer if Purple People, Cooling or Do It Again were on the album. Well maybe not Do It Again, as that's a cover. It's (RS) stil good though! TVAB is odd, in that it isn't "prettified electronica", it's kinda rough and often sounds unpolished and striking. This is partly why I love it. The fact you can't hear what the hell's going on Juarez, and what composes Datura (reciting all the flowers she lost in a hurricane! ) remind me of why I love her so much...she can pull off experimental and "out there" so well. Glory Of The 80's is unashamadly one of my highest played T songs, but Lust and Suede are far and away my fave off the album. Obviously itching for the new one to come out, but the silent film thing I could do without...while they might be nice or interesting, I have (no reason why) in my head some film student-esque montage of clips of people walking through streets/fields and stuff. Her songs are so obscure, and I like it that way. Her music videos are never literal or anything, and I hope these films aren't either. But if they aren't in at least some way, I'm not sure what the point of them would be. I mean Goldfrapp did this with "videos" for Clowns and Little Bird using beautiful Super-8, and they were lovely, but they couldn't do that for an entire album without turning it literal, to keep people interested. Unless these T ones are as interesting as her normal music videos should be, I'm still unsure about them. Wish she'd just make normal music videos again, really...ADP having none and TBK having boring ones was disappointing.
  14. £3 something Amazon.co.uk
  15. P!nk's AMAZING new video for Please Don't Leave Me. She is the queen of fun videos. Seriously, her best from this album. Influences ranging from The Shining, Misery, Basic Instinct (or Fatal Attraction, whichever it is), and maybe...Blade Runner? lol
  16. I wonder what April O'Neil wil be like!
  17. I tried the competition just cause it was availabe, and did terribly...like 5 minutes or something! It was just a muck-about though. I forgot how fun MK is with a few friends, having not played one with my best mates for like...ever? So last night we had LOADS of fun...a lot of it tying in with our hum our anyway. Like our story we somehow made up about Birdo being an oil merchant, but not in the way you might think, or something! Great fun! --- Also, reading on gamespot all about time trials, and have done (got the expert ghost in) about 8, unlocking Baby Luigi and Funky! Thanks for the help anyway.
  18. In the immortal words of Madonna; "Satin sheets are very romantic...what happens when you're not in bed?" 'Nuff said.
  19. Well I value Armand's mix more due to the fact that I'm certain it's what inspired her to look into techno influences on FTCH and obviously on TVAB. I'm not really that fond (relative to her though, all she does is at least good) of Raspberyr Swirl anymore, the only one I might skip on FTCH. Might be overplaying when I first got it though. Question; Do you listen to FTCH in the order the CD puts it, or in the order the booklet lists it? Myth is that the booklet ordering is her intended layout, but the label decided it in the end. I prefer "her" ordering. Her winning prevented Ray Quinn from doing so. She should be forever put on a pedestal for that. Otherwise, I agree. Though I do have a strange love of Bleeding Love. That's it though.
  20. Apparently she's not in this one. I might be lying though.

  23. Chillis = 10 Jeff = 8
  24. It's among her most aggresive songs, from the astoun ding album, Boys For Pele. Very..fiery (Pele is the fire goddess..) in sound and content. Fans of hers don't really see the Armnd mix as a real Tori song, as it has nothing to do with the song really, and it could be anyone singing over it. It is decent though. Just shouldn't be lumpoed together with anything else by her.
  25. Chillis = 6 Jeff = 7
