  1. Along with Madonna studies, and the one about David beckham. I like that it sounds rubbish, but technically encompasses a lot of cultural, sociological, history etc.
  2. I loved. The brilliant, if derivative and knowing prequel to the original.
  3. I personally haven't experienced the credit crunch in any notable form. But then I'm a school student living with/off my parents.
  4. BSG Season 2 Ep 1-3 I love how brutally unrelentless it is. There's loads of traumatic death or at least the allusion to it in every episode, it seems. Brilliant though. Madame Prophet Roslin is great at it. Crashdown really annoyed me. I hate people who get overwhelmed and won't deal with it. 10/10
  5. Because It's not that big a deal, really....for me anyway. And I had (and still have minor) speech problems including a stammer, so yeah. Same boat here. If it's on a sheet, try and just look at that. If it's spoken by heart, just look around at random places, or teachers, they won't distract you.
  6. Well I don't mean the literal look of those that come from the Amazon. I mean the mythical race of Amazons that she comes from. Who are basically just greek, but very athletic and muscular etc. And huge tits and ass.
  7. It can be snowy and bright? Snowblindness etc.
  8. That picture virtually defines Amazonian...what were you meaning by posting it?
  9. As 7nths (the name of the final year at our school) basically we all get a go of talking in an assembly. We have assemblies every day, each week having a different theme. I've talked during the Amnesty International themed one this year, but I've done bits in years gone by too. I remember being 12, and my RME class having to read out the people we thought were examples of having been "successful", in assembly. Mine was on Jennifer Aniston!
  10. I love. One of the 7 moments of pleasure in our lives. The post-Bjork comedown watching rubbish australian comdies starring PJ Harvey.
  11. My Season Two boxset just arrived, gonan get stuck in a sec! I'm artfully avoiding spoilers, except for the other day, when I was flicking through an old issue of Sci-Fi or something, to an interview with the guy who plays the main engineer dude in the orange jumpsuit, with a massive caption giving away a fairly large plot point... *Readies FTL drive* *FTL's*
  12. The now infamous girl-living-in-my-houses miniature boyfriends is around. It is awful to find a tall girl going out with a short guy funny, but it does look a bit like she's taking her son somewhere. He's fairly decent though. Not sure how he puts up with her. He's not said a word to me, obviously girl has been talking about me. Oh well.
  13. At the end, I turned around and started talking to a literally out-of-place woman, who seemed like she dressed to go and teach a biology class or something. She was probs 40+, asking about Dinosaur Pile-Up. My Chemical Romance had a large mix too. The stupid 12 year old buy and birls dressed in black tu-tu's, and then random old people dotted around the place. I found out years later that one of my mum's best friends was there too!
  14. I like it more than used to, but it's one of the "blah" ones on the album. I hate the way she puts her hands on hips. Unbelievably poserish. ---- Why do I prefer Soulwax's mix of Kids to the original? *bops around*
  15. Dushku wouldn't be my first choice to be honest. She hasn't got that amazonian look about her.
  16. I keep drawing parallels between the current topic here and the weed thread.
  17. You summed it up well, objectively. She apparently now has to get 1 C in her exams this year, in either politics or Art (easy) to get into what she wants in Stirling. And she still flapping about.
  18. I love the amount of participation when it's 2 famous songs...
  19. Adam West was the guy in the car in the trailer, with the famous Adam West voice...
  20. Yeah, I just love that song. Not just because of her...as you say, they're nice/fine. But other than that, I don't hold up much else of their stuff as great.
  21. Well why I said what I just did about internet vs. reality.... "Bad music taste" perturbs me at the most. I'm not Oxigen_Waste.
  22. God you're rude to me. ---- Paj's Pitch Perfect Pop Here is a brilliant song. The only Snow Patrol song I really like. I think it's cause Martha Wainwright adds so much to it. My throat goes dry whenever I see Martha Wainwright's face.
  23. I don't actually look down on people for their tastes in music. Unless it's combined with a whole lot of other stuff I hate, in which case it presumably would just be the icing on a bad cake. I'm not that shallow. Plus there's a big difference between internet and reality. I've only met one person in person who, when they told me their views on music, I pulled a face at. And that was also because he's a complete knobend who smashes people over the head with bottles willy-nilly and I hate. --- Fact is, no one here can know what I dislike about her so much without meeting her, as I can't really describe it anymore than I already have. It's not about her uppity views on anyone who thinks about touching a drug, that's just a tiny part of a really irritating and insincere patchwork that forms her personality. I have a thing about honesty of character. ("realistic" people as I call it, or whatever) And she's the opposite. ---- In any case, I'm not even interested in talking about whether it's totally awesome to do illegal shit, as I didn't even start this thread.
  24. Private Benjamin Felt like the biggest joke of 1980 cinema. Although it hit and miss, mostly missing when Goldie Hawn's character was just being too stupid. ALSO I love the fact she was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar. She was actually pretty godd, I won't lie. There were several bits I laughed at. "I would slap your face!" I love the fact that at the end, I said out loud, "Tori Amos' life story" (private joke). 6.5/10
