  1. (This is Chairdriver on Paj's account) Watchmen Hmmm... It was fun to watch, but I was left with nothing. The book is miles better. 6/10
  2. Well every colour has it's place, I think. But that colout has most connotations of old men in barber jackets and cardigans.
  3. Watchmen was enjoyable and good. Nothing on the book, but good and fine.
  4. Watchmen Oxigen said it well. I'd give it a solid 7. Just for enjoyment's sake, and I liked the fact is was uncompromising with the source material (in general).
  5. She sounds better than last time I heard her live (TOTP when she first came out), by far. Not much control, as at times I wanted to tell her to be quiet, but yeah. I laugh everytime I remember by mum dyed her hair like that when Avril Lavgine did it.
  6. E.R A god episode, if a bit strange. Tense at the end though. Obvious Alex'll live (I think), but I would quite like Sam to turn all dark and angry for the rest of the season if he does die. Brothers & Sisters Good episode, nice focus on Sarah and Rebecca, and I love the secret meeting at the end, of Operation: Kill Holly Harper.
  7. OH JOY! 700 fucking words of a Catcher in The Rye essay for tomorrow. I went over it with him before xmas, the passage i'm studying, but I can't remember anything he said...
  8. Yay for Cyclops being in it. The third film felt completely wrong without him, so more of him in the mythos is appreciated. Who's the guy with the lines drawn onto his body?
  9. I exclusively listen to the Japanese version of that. The cantononese (or whatever it is) is hilarious. They can't fit it all in properly!
  10. Yeah, I assume Buttons has a really good reason for not drinking. I.e family member/friend related etc.
  11. First was best. I love how you don't care that I hate the title.
  12. I love how the dog must be thinking. "He's doing shit at this game. Oh he's lost. May as well rape him."
  13. I love-a life. That's what I was intending.
  14. I assume he'd be at a proper venue, and so they'd be strict about how inebriated one can be, if at all.
  15. Caste > Cast As a word/title for anything. It's complete and whole and firm. However it makes no sense in this context. But then neither does "cast". It's just a word to do with magic. I prefer 'Casting", even. Cast I trip over in my head. It doesn't stop me when I walk into it, I just graze my shin as I tumble over it. It's not dynamic enough. It's just not dynamic or firm enough to be a big, brash comic book title, for me, anyway. "Cast Away" is funnier. Though not necessarily the best choice. However, I really liked the photoshop thingies you did. The last one is very cool. : peace:
  16. The woman she got on this gig was a really good singer. I think they knew each other...or at least she'd chosen her before the show. But she sang it out of time with the actual music, so Liz forced her to restart!
  17. Oh fine. But even so, the fact that it didn't remind me of magic at all suggest it doesn't work that well. As though it's a trying-to-be-clever-title-referring-to-magic-in-an-attempted-uncliched-way-but-comes-off-sounding-strangely-weak-title. : peace:
  18. I HATE playing album orders. Only MCR did that of gigs I've been to, and in their defence, it's part of the "concept of their album", as the two section were markedly different (new vs. old). That's another reason why I love Tori Amos. She has an immense back catalogue to turn to, and she NEVER does the same setlist twice, unless it's an offical like filming for a DVD or whatever. It's always mixed up and from random eras etc. She'll play her famous songs like Cornflake Girl after a forgotten B-side from the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack etc. Next night, neither will appear.
  19. I came up with Vespers name, didn't I? Thanks for all the credit... I don't like the title ReZ. What is it referring to?
  20. It's not that bad, just a bit...empty. It was stylish though. And I watched it for the art topic of "Utopia" last year, which it suited.
  21. My favourite sexually-charge song lines about lips; Your lips; a perfect suck-me size And your lips are sweet and slippery like a cherub's bare wet ass ---- Felt liek a joke. Thursday is my resting day, as I have no real lessons, except one period of english, in which we just started a new book, so yeah. Art we're just researching for our new unit. I chose "Artificial Light" and my title. Did extra DT after school, after banterz with friends. Got tickets on my mums behalf for the play I'm in.
  22. Listening to an NPR (some radio station) podcast, which is a full length gig from Liz Phair's tour last year, where she played the entirety of Exile In Guyville. The fact she gets an audience member to sing the looped line "Everytime I see your face, I get all wet between my legs" is brilliant, while she sings the rest of the sordid lyrics.
  23. If it's a cartoon that's all lovely and beautiful, a dub is probably better. Plus the voice to mouth movement comparisons are negligible. On live action films, subtitles, obviously.
  24. Jeff - 7 Kinks - 8
